Cent percent agree with you on the matter related to bose family.
They are also equally at fault and partial too.
When ishwari sent the bracelet as an ashirwaad, mr, bose went and burst on her. Now what happens when some one is pointing your girls character and you are still begging to keep the alliance.
Ritwic can't say anymore about him, truly an unknown angel.

Thank you !! No girl child should go thru what Sona went thru today . A complete stranger questioning her character in front of her parents . And her parents in order to save the marriage just stands there mute!! Do they want to just get her married off?? do they actually care abt her well being after marriage?? What abt the dialogues that they passed after coming from Dev's house. Just because Dev happens to be rich and Mr. R happens to be middle class doesnt justify Mr. R fathers reaction to Sona. He passed comment in the same way Ishwari did abt Sona. Are Daughter brought up just to be married off ??

Today for me , being a woman that was the most painful part . She herself had to step in and stand up for herself seeing the silence of her parents. When your own parents dont support you then from whom can you expect support. Today I felt both Sona and Dev are in the same situation...no different !! Probably that is why they love each other so much and have so much in common😭

i was looking at one of the older episodes on flight last night. this was about Kushal Roy and what his parents told Sona when Dev and Kushal meet in a restaurant.. Sona's reply was what kind of a family is that where someone says something and they just believe? it was the fiery Sona who said it. now what happened? The CV's are making plenty of mistakes in these mall little things.

Mr Dixit has supported Dr Bose..when mami insulted her left n right...pls recall...

Just when Dev was totally shattered of the fact that his God has deceived him.. n not understood his pure love.. you wanted him to have the ball to counter question her, who is hell bent suicidal.. and is not normal yet...?

How can one compare an Apple with an Orange...? Both of them.. Dev and Ritwick have different life experiences, upbringing and EQ level...Here some of you day n night try n compare these 2 and say, Sona deserves a better person, and Ritwick is that one...

For one moment i love to believe that... but pls do not glorify this character so much (let me talk in his own style) - 2 reasons :

1) Sona had told him of her past, choice was now left to him, if he wanted to proceed with the proposal...then pls its upto him..
2) He is a great n understanding man - did he ring an alarm to Sona prior their entry? n if he is so understanding, what was the need of the talk regarding the news fiasco on Dev-Sona to reach an ugly disrespectful discussion in Sona home? he could have managed that between his father n him.. - he could tell dad.. leave it to me.. let me handle... but no.. he allowed his dad to confront Sona n her family on this...and until Sona said, that i had told Ritwick everything... that is when he says like ya.. n all..
he left the home, hearing his dad almost calling off the proposal..or having to give it a 2nd thought..
Despite dad-son having an open relation - they both couldn't handle the matter... in a responsible way..

Did it end there.. without a 2nd thought he rushed to Dev and accused him.. saying Sona doesnt deserve this man.. wasn't he supposed to handle the matter at home?? where did he stand for RoNa relation? am sorry today's episode clearly showed that even Ritwick cannot handle problems..

The day his loan rejected, 2nd time.. he already started losing it... the CVs are only showing here n there of this man.. so i call him a normal man with all flaws... Dev little more.. as their home environment n relationships are not open n broad minded as his...

he sajiny u said it all..😊..same thoght crosed my mind...this so called decision maker was asked to shut up by his dad...😆

well I already said it earlier...how can u compare 2 ppl ...

This topic, in all seriousness, is completely moot.

Reason being that they are completely incomparable! We have seen 130 odd episodes of Dev, every intricate part of his being and have reached a stage where many of us can write volumes about his character, or lack of it! On the other hand what we have seen of this R is not even a fraction of a peep show. It is a different thing altogether that we, as so called intellectuals, seem to have the ability to analyse even such a character to such depths that can even put such a character to embarrassment.,Our ability to write volumes on such a character is truly amazing!

if I were to apply most of the logic being used in this forum for the characters of Dev and R, and imagine if girls in real life choose a partner based on this logic, I would be a person completely petrified of the outcome of these decisions. Thankfully the character Sona is not a real life girl!

Here are some samples based on what I have read (and some assessment done by me as well) Dev is dumb, a doormat, an imbecile, a psycho, a pussy, imbalanced, in need of a psychiatrist, needs to be put in a mental asylum... So he is not good for Sona or any gal.

R is so balanced, understanding, mature, calm, emotionally balanced, and mind you, such conclusions being reached by, what I call seeing less than a fraction of a peep show, so is good for Sona or any gal.

I like this eternal truth... Man sees and judges by the outer appearance, GOD sees and judges by the heart. Applying this truth to just one episode of today, in the conversation between Dev and R, isn't it amply clear that Dev's heart was pure but the same cannot be said of R with the same degree of confidence.. Outwardly he was correct but what of his heart was shown that we could have even seen a part if it to judge?

This forum has, by and large, judged Dev and he has already been sentenced and condemned! R is an infant, and has committed his second sin today ( leave it to the discerning to figure out what it was). His case has not even reached the courts yet!

I always love your posts you are right there has been so much of discussion of all the characters lately about their actions, intentions, behavior and their expectations out of this characters every one has a right to give their opinions but I dont think whether one will act the same way they have suggested to Dev and Sona if they face a situation like this in real life because judging is easy even I dont how would I react if I face such a situation in real life. They are telling us a story which will have its ups and downs so either one has to be patient to watch the entire story or they can leave half way the choice is theirs.😊

I agree with you. Real life choices are a lot different. It is not so easy to make or break things and the cost of recovering is much more than what one can think.

Welcome to the forum n so true. Bang on post.
I would toh have run away from person like dev a long back. Self respect is not everything but yet it is very important. A person who doesn't have guts to support his lady love , who keeps listening whatever shit radha rani speaks... Such people doesn't deserve any girl.

I don't like the fact that they are selling a backward concept here. That a bahu or future bahu should always listen to the crap of the future family.

Coming to the current track.. Even I feel Ritwik is perfect for Sona. N if we see even his father accepted her past, they were just worried about the news paper fiasco.

For now I would love to see Sona n Ritwik together. Dev's redemption track is must, he should not get Sona like this. I really hope Sona's family interferes if she agrees.

She is trying to make her parents happy and at the same time she doesnt like the idea of getting married to this so called Mr R...that is the reason why she stood there and justified . She loves Dev . She wants Dev to come and rescue her from this situation ...she also knows he would nt do that because he has made it very clear that his mom is the most imp person and he will do anything for her happiness...too many things going on in her mind...and she is not able to have a control of the situation because these are decisions cant be taken individually..

A confused mind...I pity her...Dev and Sona need to be a lil selfish ...ONLY if they are happy can they spread happiness...how long are they going to bottle up their pain and misery ..one day its all going burst .

Fully agree - Those who are blaming R and putting R and Dev at the same level are just trying to justify. The difference is Dev loves sona and it requires commitment and R is yet to get into commitment. If R leaves sona or his father do not approve of the old relationship of Sona they are fully justified. They have every right to evaluate sona, her character, her past, her behaviour etc.

On the other hand Dev evaluated sona in whatever way and made certain promises and commitment which he couldn't keep. It was his family that came in teh way and not sonas behavior or character.

I think we are all judging Dev a little too harshly in comparison with Rithwick(including me). When we compare them both, we have to keep their current emotional state in mind. Dev is obviously in a very disturbed state and is not his usual self. Rithwick on the other hand comes from a normal background without any unbearable pressures from his family. He will naturally act in a more composed manner.
What we are forgetting in all this is what Sona's heart desires. We cannot ensure that she will be really happy just because she marries a levelheaded guy, can we.

Having said that, I strongly feel that Dev has a lot of growing out to do. He has to grow out of this codependent relationship with his mother and unlearn all the "family above all"/"mom is everything" doctrines his mother imbibed in him. Until he does that, there is no future for Dev-Sona relationship in that house, even if Eeshwari herself comes to Bose's house to ask for Sona's hand in order to save her son. She will be back to her insecurities once the marriage happens and Sona will have to suffer humiliation again and again. I don't want Dev-Sona marriage to happen until Dev learns to handle himself and his mom properly. I am not up for saas-bahu machinations and I don't want a new age girl like Sona to be Eeshwari's caretaker/punching bag.

😃👍🏼 Nice post...
Practically that's what it should be👏.. Sona has got to think through her future to really know what she'd be getting into if she decides to choose Dev, if Dev continues to be this emotionally imbalanced one😉. And Sona would be deciding emotionally as well.. And that's the love game all about right?! And they have every right to live their life however they want to.. Not necessarily in adherence to what's right on paper or what's right from what we see...😉

All practicalities come up as an afterthought and the experienced ones would see that in advance. But the young ones will still be emotionally bound and want to stick to their feelings and be honest about what they feel right and not what they think right 😉..

As a parent that's what many of us do trying to protect them from making mistakes because we know from our thinking that it's not right decision by them.. But as kids they expect the parents to let them do it their way else we become the enemies to them.. So being a parent along with being a friend to them is really difficult and we gotta balance it out ourselves too..😉
