Was Dev home schooled all through school & even College days??

This is a business magnet. Young entrepreneur. Which college did he go to?
Neel went to MIT or Yale (I forget), which business school did Dev learn his business chops from?

Was he ragged? How did he fare in his projects? B.Schools have group projects - which group was he in?

His one friend seems to be from early days.
Where are his college friends? Did he never speak in class? never make friends? never ever go out?
His path was home - college - home?

He climbed the business ladder. Did he network? How did he get business without socializing?

This is the boy who got favored treatment and given the luxury of education - what did he study? Did he ever interact with other people of his age? Share thoughts, ideas, perspectives or did he do a distance learning course that kept him at a distance to the world?

He doesn't know about books, about movies - I imagine he has traveled or needs to travel. Did he simply follow his Mother's advice of not talking to strangers always and just didn't see the world around him?

This 21st century recluse who has no friend, built an empire in isolation and now destroying everything in isolation. He has no management team, no board... His company makes mobile phones! Irony!
Was he kidnapped by Ishwari & kept in a dungeon all his 28 years only to emerge when Sona walked into Ishwari Nivas - the one & only friend ever!

This reminds me of all the fairytales where the princesses are locked up deep in their palaces only to see light of day when the prince rescues them!

We are in the 21st century, ain't we?

Just wondering how in today's times someone manages to live in total isolation - would love to know the secret formula!!!

The fact that it has come this i.e. us asking these questions speaks volumes about Dev's characterization of late.

In the initial episodes he certainly did not come across as so artless, so socially inept etc. How he conducted himself with Natasha was a fine example of a confident young gentleman, a business magnate even. Both of them knew how she felt about him and their interactions were so mature, acknowledging that fact and speaking practically about their relationship. He did not need his mother to talk to Natasha or Mr.Gujral on his behalf. Yes, he consulted her but he was facing them himself.

Of course to justify the extreme turn in the story line, they changed both his and Ishwari's characterization because the Dev and Ishwari of those episodes would certainly not have conducted themselves in this fashion.

From what we saw dev was studying and working at the same time. He didnt have time to socialize. There was a scene where sona tells him to let nikki go for sleep over. He sais he never did that.. He just couldnt afford to waste time..

Also bunty is the only friend that too childhood friend when theybused to play galli cricket before devs dad passes away..and he said that h didnt play cricket after his dads demise... So yes to answer to your point .. Dev knows what is right and what is wrong.. But doesnt know the right way of doing right things.. His focus is only on the goal and not on the path..

Also regarding his success, it can come overnight.: may be one of his patent for new technology made him rich with in short period of time..he knows how to deal with decisions in business as emotions are not involved(there is a scene where he says this to sona).

Also as we know ishwari , she would have burdened him both physcially and emotionally all his life.. At the same time showing extra love.. Constantly reminding all the hardhips.. She kept him captive emotionally.. You might have realized how she uses even a bad situation to her benefit.

Honestly during my college days ,i have seen wuite a few classmates who didnt have any friends.. So that is not a big question whether it is possible... To make friends you need to invest time which dev dixit never had.:

And yes this this story of princess rescung her prince.. Nothing wrong with it given that we r in 21st century.. Right??

😃Loved this post! These questions nag me all the time. This is the problem with not being able to leave one's brain aside while watching a daily soap. I guess all of us here who question things, must master the art of doing so.
