So Sona has promised Dev that she will marry R.And in today's or tomorrow's episode to Dev promises Sona that he would not interfere in Sona's life anymore.And the engagement is also done.Engangement is a big deal where u officially becomes someone else and have decided to spend the rest of our lives together.So what will Dev do now if he breaks her engagement he becomes a bad guy,if he lets her go he becomes a coward.Him talking to Mataji is unlikely as she is still in denial and will say she never asked them to break up.Sona is hell bent in the moving on mantra that she wouldn't mind getting married to R to prove Dev that he and his mom can't control his life anymore.Both Dev and Sona are pushing each other off the cliff and are in the process they are going to hurt themselves the most.Right now the only sane character is R who is an audience to all this mess 😆
