So the bracelet is back in the house - what a round trip it has made -across the house and out phew!!

Loved Mr. Bose's stand for his daughter gosh! He was such a wounded tiger today -everything he said was straight from the heart-His daughter had been subjected to enough torment and he wasn't going to sit quiet anymore!! Just loved the way he went there and came straight to the point-She could turn blind eye over her child's agony but he would shield and protect his daughter from any further harm👏👏

Though he echoed what most of us are discussing in the forum - Khudgarz love of Ishwari and Kamzor Ishq of Dev- I can only tentatively agree on the second accusation, Dev's always had very tunnelled vision of his world - his world comprised of his mother and him and their struggle and their pain and their sacrifices - no one had insight into this world not even his sisters-living in the same house this mother-son had built a circle around them and Sonakshi was the only one that managed to enter this space and his world suddenly had more hues and shades than he had ever imagined before, His circle grew wider with anticipation, expectation, joy, exuberance but for the circle to grow tunnel had to expand as well which was possible with balance - balance between his new found feelings and the old thread that still kept that circle intact - this is where he failed miserably!! His focus will always shift from one extreme to the other- Getting Sonakshi as nutritionist for his mother, realisation of his love for Sonakshi and breaking off with Natasha, Being insensitive to expectations of a mother on her special day, he just did things on instinct - and instincts are not always right- He is learning this hard way, there is no Sonakshi to help him, guide him so he will tumble, fall, lose his way but ultimately he will emerge from that tunnel aware and stronger ready to tell the truth - cause that guiding light of Sonakshi's love still shines bright and steady

Kamzor was that moment which made him decide for both of them-love always finds its way for those who never give up on that invisible thread that binds them together!!(my version of bandhe hue paav😲)

Great post. It was nice to see Bijoy giving Ishwari a big dose of reality. Also love how he said that even if she comes begging back for Sona, he will not give his daughter to her. (Foreshadowing, huh?)

What a lovely post, aditi!! Loved the different perspective on bandhe hue paav.
You're very correct. Balance has always been Dev's problem. When he was in love initially, he forgot about everything else. Then when trauma hit him, he quickly forgot about love. Now again, when heartbreak is knocking on his door, he's forgetting that he broke up with Sonakshi, and she has every right to move on.
I don't really mind him behaving like a jealous possessive boyfriend. But all the nonsense that he's doing in the name of love (messing with R's loan- he has himself struggled very hard to reach where he is, how can he of all ppl mess with someone else's dreams and aspirations? He crossed a line with this one I feel, Taking advantage of Sonakshi's dedication towards her work and calling her to the restaurant and torturing her with old memories) I think maybe they should tone this down a bit.
It's getting more disturbing because of the contrast shown in R's character. He is just about the most sorted guy you can come across.
But I guess what they want to convey is, the heart wants what it wants!

He learnt nothing. He is being his normal self. Stalking and bullying.

Rest of the post is excellent👏

Wonderful post 👏
He is a man of extremes always. There no in between for this guy. Whether its right or wrong, he is a man of actions always. Whether we consider his straight forward talk with natasha on their engagement break-up even with out knowing what Sona feels for him or his impulsive break-up decision with Sona with out even thinking about the pain he is going to choose for both of them.

He said to Sona in the start of the show that he will loose the sense of right or wrong when it comes to his mother and now he is the same Mr.Dev dixit who is loosing the sense of right or wrong to desperately hang on to his life line called Sona(even though he is delusional about Sona's thoughts). Nothing got changed wrt this characteristic of Mr. Dev dixit. His love failed to bring balance in his life but i hope his pain will surely do the needful in making him understand this aspect.😊

Hi Malvika, as i mentioned in my reply to this post let me try to put my 2 cents here.

Coming to R's character, i think makers are intentionally showing him as a perfect match for Sona because this is what they did in natasha's case also. Dev & Natasha and R & Sona both are perfect couple if we see them on paper but in reality perfect relations mostly happens between imperfect people when they decide to stay with each other forever by accepting each other with their flaws. As you said rightly, the heart wants what it wants.😊

Hey latha, I agree with what you're saying. I remember you once pointed out something so profound, it has stayed with me till date - We need to accept our characters the way they are. It just struck a chord with me. And I'm trying my best to do that.
You're right. Dev has always been like this. Impulsive, rash and often exhibiting shades of grey.
His character is one of the most complex we've seen on Indian television. I'm completely enamored by it. My only concern is, the makers shouldn't go overboard trying to potray that he's losing his sense of right or wrong when it comes to having Sonakshi in his life. It might make the audience lose connect with him, as is evident by many members of the forum rooting against him. It hasn't reached that point for me yet, but I need Dev to realize the error of his ways. They say love makes the world go round. In Dev's case, it has made his world turn topsy turvy, he's doing things he never thought imaginable. I get why he is doing it, but the question still remains, should he be doing it?
I have mixed feelings about the track right now. Neither Dev nor Sonakshi is thinking straight as of now. Sonakshi is rushing with her marriage, whilst being in love with Dev. Many people do that, but now it seems she's gonna do it just to spite him.
These two kids need to sit down and talk it out once. Get a room and just let it all out, take out all the frustration they have. And with it, make themselves and the fans very very happy 😉

Honestly speaking i have lost the connect with the show(esp with these 3 main leads) from their break-up seq onwards. I am just taking one episode at a time without any expectations just because of this amazing cast(esp Shaheer & Erica).

@Bold : This is how Dev was initially but he learnt a lot after falling in love with Sona. He started understanding emotional needs of his loved ones (for ex, his scene with Nikkki & Rhea after Neha's bidaai). He was actually growing as a better person.

BUT

With this forced one sided break-up track, now makers nullified all his growth in a second and brought him back to square one. This is not the Dev whom they showed us in their initial promos. That Dev was calm, composed & rational when he was proposing break-up.
I have mixed feelings about the track right now. Neither Dev nor Sonakshi is thinking straight as of now. Sonakshi is rushing with her marriage, whilst being in love with Dev. Many people do that, but now it seems she's gonna do it just to spite him.

I never expected this third angle and obsessed Dev track. After seeing the kind of emotional attachment these 2 shared after their love confession, Just staying away from Sona itself should be equal to thousand deaths per second for Dev. The best part of their relationship was communication which makers took away brutally from these kids and filling their life with MU's for more drama. Subtle story telling took back seat long back and now the riding horse is melodrama for this show.😊

@Bold : So true! This should've happened. I was actually excited for the jealousy track coz I wanted to see the jealous Dev, I'm kinda shallow that way😛 But I never expected it to take this turn wherein he just completely loses it and becomes a conniving man who plays with someone's future. Some spoilers suggest that he is gonna offer money to R to move away from Sonakshi. How does that make him any different than Gujral?
I echo your sentiment. I've lost the connect I had to this story. Before, every episode had that re-watch quality. Nowadays, I just watch it for shaheer and erica.
Something about the team has changed. The drama quotient has been steadily rising ever since Ishwari's chulha nonsense.
I don't know what's left to salvage of this situation now.
