I'd go for the third option too, hopefully it will be a daughter who Dev will completely dote on and thus make Ishwari helplessly insecure again. Only this time, Dev would bring up his daughter with all the freedom Sona got in her childhood and none of the suffocating idolatry of his relationship with his mother, while Ishwari would learn how to deal with her obsession with her son and to be happy in his happiness and accept the changes in his life. A chance to do things right this time, for both mother and son.

Can't it be like sonakshi faces an accident and loses her memory.. she is now known by another name .. dev meets her but thinks it's someone else as sonakshi fails to recognize him .. but both feels that spark between them

So option 1 n 2 are out of the picture !!!! So only 3 is the option left , but wait Dev is going to end up alone ? Nooo I cant imagine that too , he deserves some happiness in this world yaar , after sacrificing his childhood , and leading a mechanical life all these time , I can't see him suffering for the rest of his life too ... I changed my mind , option 3 is also not possible ... In an Alternate Universe I want him married to Sonakshi , living happily with 2 kids and with the two women in his life who love and respect each other , where Sonakshi is more than the daughter Ishwari could wish for , considering her weird relationships with her daughters ... Sounded so cliche , but cant imagine any other option , too weak to think otherwise 😉

See i totally get what you are saying but like i said earlier, I don't believe marriage is a necessity of life..Ppl can be happy without a quintessential love story..When i mentioned scenario 3, I din't mean to say he'l have a bitter, miserable life..Why cant you be happy without a marriage? Totally agree , marriage is not necessary to be happy ,and u can totally lead a peaceful life as a single parent ... And the option 3 would have been very plausible , if he hadn't fallen for Sonakshi ... He knew how his life could be more than perfect and beautiful with Sonakshi's presence in it , and now there is no go back ... Until and unless u know there is a better option, he could have been happy , but when he is very much aware of that option and he is solely responsible for making that option unavailable , how could he live without regret ?

Also being a happily married person , and knowing the bliss of being in love, may be I am biased to pick any other option ( PS:I also hav a thing for tall guys ,call me shallow too but no room to complain for me , I m 5.6" still he calls me dwarf at times 😉 )

Wait..I have a better option for you..There is this film called Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind..The leads there erase each other from their memories by using a procedure after a bitter break up and eventually fall in love with each other all over again 😆 Its a fabulous story which will be butchered by the writers here in Indian soaps but that option is available is all am saying 😆 But the option is, it'l again end in a bitter break up if there is no progress in any of the characters 🤣
