She does have a solid family and it shows...
Am just not sure why another family has to be dragged in... Ah! Drama for drama sake! ... and for Shaheer's expressions!!... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

The basis could have been in a complete different direction.. But but but...

Just like they took the drama route for Ishhuuu (smoking stove till sleeping pills๐Ÿ˜†) to loudly call out her stand in the love story, Ritik is only yet another route taken by the makers to bring out the love birds' stand for their own story... Is drama only a copyrighted material for Isshh๐Ÿคช? We two are capable of pulling out a drama too.. tadaaa.. Riti becomes the smoking stove in between these two...๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†

In any other way, the poor to-be-MILs will be upset with Dev, if he decides to support Sona.. And try convincing mommy...๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†

Ah! Thank you my dear ๐Ÿ˜ณ

My But But But's don't stop either... oh well, we can at least laugh about it...

Ritwik is definitely the smoking stove and he is royally going to burn in it!! or maybe not if they decide to turn Devrath into Devdas ๐Ÿ˜ƒ... 'The cat who takes away the cream while the mice fight ๐Ÿ˜ƒ'

Hello MIL's of the world... your own brand of halwa might be a good accompaniment to the kid's convincing session...but you rather prefer your Son claim his girl in public, as she gets ready to move on, not to let her go ever..., Right! Good choice ๐Ÿ‘

I actually laughed out loud when Dev scolded Vicky for drinking...'in the house where my Mom stays, who is God for me, and where God stays - the place is a temple' ... distance between Dev & a drinking bottle is but few episodes...๐Ÿ˜ƒ
These Dixit's are hilarious!!

Sona was amazing, fantastic and she didn't leave any one y'day while showing mirror but who will show her mirror that one shouldn't take life changing decisions in hasty & anger esp when you are not clear about your priorities and your decision is going to involve others future. She has every right to move on after going through all this mess because of Dev but she doesn't have right to spoil another guy's life in this process. So true...Its marriage not child's play but i think for indian tv makers its a child'd play. We cant do anything on this aspect since we dont hold the control of this story.

Even i am not able to understand this Doc, when he clearly witnessing the depth of her love for Dev then why he is going ahead with this marriage?

No one put a gun to Sona's head and pushed her for this alliance. In fact, the Boses were
justifiably apprehensive that this might be too soon. While this is a great
trigger for Dev, am lost why another family needs to be dragged in!
Bang on...Yes. No one is forcing her in to marriage not even her family. I didn't get why Eri is saying again and again in the recent segments that Sona is going ahead with this marriage because of her family. I feel she is loosing her sense in anger and want to prove Dev that she can move on and he cant control or decide her life decisions. Both need a reality check and need to understand that they cant run away from their feelings and each other.๐Ÿ˜Š

Lets wait and watch. Any way now a days i am taking one episode at a time & watching it without any expectations from the makers.๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello Hello & thank you ๐Ÿ˜ƒ *HUGS*

This was me thinking aloud and after the episode yesterday and the fantastic audience reaction, I cant help but think - brilliant focus on the trees & losing the forest!

Every word Sona said was long due. The disappointment of seeing such a clueless mother and thinking of the Son who sacrificed everything for nothing... the strong stand for their love & Dev specifically... Good...
then she turns and bares her heart to the would-be... right!
The yo-yo effect under time pressure to break Dev who hopefully shakes Ishwari!
Where does that leave the Doc who is stepping in this mess with open eyes?

Her showing the mirror to Dev was her feeling real bad & helpless for him. All she can do is show him the real world and push him to grow up. For his own good...
She can tell herself she is angry but she is hurt & helpless as she knows he's hurting and she cant do anything... so she uses reverse psychology - hurt him so much that he grabs the strength to fight for survival...

But as you correctly said - who's going to show her the mirror!!!

Am with you in taking one episode at a time - I have lost the connect!
Finding very little material to write either ๐Ÿ˜Š ...

But my idea of feminism is not just putting others in their right place and standing your ground but a true feminist knows who she is and is complete in herself...
when parents are not pushing, why is she needing another shoulder? of course, so we get to see Shaheer's fantastic expressions ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Oh! the tangled web we weave
when at first we start to deceive
Truth within, if we take the courage to see
it just might have the key to set us free...

Right there with you. I am not sure where all this leaves Ritwik and anyone knows that marrying when you are so hung up on another is calling for disaster. Its a lifetime bond, I thought.

I know - you need to be in right frame of mind when taking such decisions, clearly she is not; in her urge (driven by anger, anguish, disgust and antipathy rightfully so!) to move on she is forgetting the very basic fact that she needs to get herself back that feisty and self-confident Sonakshi Bose who marched through the door of Mr. Dixit's office when he got her fired just so that she can devote all her attention to his God needs to be back - free of any baggage(this will come only when Dev is able to move on as well!)

Sona couldn't have just walked into a new life without knowing Dev was ok. Although, she had seen another side of Ishwari as well but she trusted that when it comes to her Son, this mother knows what she's doing - she was proven wrong & how! Her disappointment at seeing the callous attitude towards something that was/is so precious to the Son would have increased her worry for the Son multifold.

She stood up for herself & Dev! She stood up for the love they felt and the relationship they built. Irrespective of what happens, she kept her promise and stood with Dev all the way...

The loss is entirely his and she doesn't doubt it for one second.

Exactly- I was hoping that having won the battle she was running alone in and having no one to cheer her at the end on the winning line would have put some sense in that very selfish and single track brain of Ishwari but that's only possible if she was human! Poor Dev!!

I just felt her walking up to Dev and calling him out on many things wrong was her way of 'tough love'... 'We cant be together but I need to see you fine. I cant be with you so you need to grow up and be strong... If you spiral out of control, I can never stay happy'
Push him to the wall and trust him enough that he will find a way out... or at least wake up...!

But didn't she always helped him separate right from wrong be it in case of Ranveer or Nikki or sitting in Puja for his mother's sake - she always showed him the mirror and it will not change till that flame of eternal love burns bright and steady in their heart!!

@Bold: Agree with you...

I'm completely with you on all of the points you mentioned. It takes great strength to do what Sonakshi is doing. I seriously feel the roles are reversed in this serial. Sonakshi is the hero who gets things done and Dev is the stereotypical heroine of daily soaps who mops around and cries all the time, without taking any real decision.
You gave me a very different perspective on Ritwik.. something to think about.. The fact that he's a doctor and his first instinct is to heal - what a beautiful inference.
Like you said, even I'm a little lost on where exactly the show is going, the Devdas route or possessive obsession route or something else entirely. Sometimes I feel the makers take one idea and then get carried away with it. They took this idea of Ishwari being very attached to her first born, and then they went overboard and turned her into a pyscho.
I feel something similar happening with Dev, though not as bad as Ishwari. I hope it doesn't go the same way it did with Ishwari.
Alas, like you said, we aren't the ones writing the script :)

Ah! Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

After yesterday's episode and seeing all reactions, I just had to give my confusions an outlet...

Most definitely, this FL is worth watching. She knows what she is doing but... does she?
She thinks she is angry but she knows Dev much more than that... She is clearly hurt with the way she was cast aside but she understands him and knows he's not ok... not for a second did she doubt his love...

'Dev has not grown up enough to take decisions that his mother will not like' - fantastic words to Ishwari and truth.
'Why don't you ask your Mother what you want' - Fantastic words to Dev & truth again
'I am so angry & hurt. I loved so much and was just cast aside' - Words to Ritwik and truth.

These 3 just need to look at their own truths.

This FL is surely all about action and forcing the ML & Family into reaction.

and Ritwik might be the best BFF with the healing touch but this is not friendship, its marriage...

If Dev crashes the engagement ceremony to stop it all, I fully expect Sona to stand up for her family honor ...So is it Devdas or understanding Ritwik & family!
In between, we get some fantastic expressions from Shaheer...

Ishwari is disturbed one second hearing RR describe her Son's state and heartlessly continues to remove all memory of Sona in the next...
Dev has a few more lows to reach before the pressure is ready to burst...
Sona leaves her would-be in-laws at home to go check on Dev and now will throw Ritwik as a challenge to Dev...
Ritwik waits patiently as Sona shows the Dixits the mirror & returns, just moments after marriage talks between the 2 families. ...

I am thankful I am not writing this story...
I will just take this one scene & expression at a time ๐Ÿ˜Š

Fair point. Sonakshi herself is committing a blunder by agreeing to the marriage just to spite Dev.
But tell you what, I'm almost relieved she is. This shows she's imperfect as well. If she was perfectly sensible, it would've made no sense for Dev and Sonakshi to be together anymore, given Dev's crazy tactics.
We have all admitted the fact that Dev is flawed. And he has Sonakshi to show him the mirror, I think Ritwik will be the person to show Sonakshi the mirror and make her realize she can never move on from Dev, no matter how hard she tries.
In all of this, I end up feeling bad for ritkwik.
Also, I think the engagement will happen. Dev won't crash the engagement. But I don't know what he will do once he finds out Sonakshi is enagaged. I'm both, scared and excited to know :)

Amazing..๐Ÿ‘

What ever it is, we need to accept one thing that these 2 are truly MADE FOR EACH OTHER. Both are crazy but cute innocent kids with golden heart. In the latest promo, Both are looking like angry bulls. Dixit house cant get a better DIL than Sona. In that house sab ke sab teda hai and she is the perfect one who can make them straight.๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

haha...the writer in you speaks!
Told you ... You are the writer, am just the critic! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

All 3 of them are flawed and very human (well, Ishwari is another kind but you know what I mean ๐Ÿ˜‰)...one moment sensible and the other throwing all sensibility to the wind... (ok! Ishwari's sensibility is way off but looking at Supriya P's insta update, I felt bad so including the character here ๐Ÿ˜ƒ)

These 3 need to fight it out and then see where the pieces land... why involve the new Dr. in this crazy mix!

What will Dev do??? Don't know but one thing is sure Shaheer will play it like a pro...!!

Absolutely...once the dust of all this settles and Sona officially enters the Dixit house, I can see RR running for cover (obviously assuming Ishwari would have learnt a lesson or 2 by then)...

But my 2 cents to these kids - Go get a room guys... Get all this angst, frustration, craziness out of your system...all that sanskari pyaar has twisted all wires. Get the tension out and see the brain working just fine ๐Ÿ˜†...at least no sweet doctors will need to get hurt then!!! ๐Ÿ˜†
