Absolutely... they are not moving on, they are being pushed to move on by 'Ishwari' 😡😡, who herself doesn't realizing the hole she is sinking her son into!! Sona is stronger than Dev and has better people around him,.. but Dev is just a kid at heart, who has lost his only "truly own" person, & just doesn't know how to even live without her any more!!
I know. Sona has her family and now even Ritwik seems a little too eager to help her. But this guy is so damn alone that it's getting tougher and tougher to watch each episode.
I wonder how deeply broken Dev would be, when he finds out that his mother whom he considered his god, was the one behind his shattered life... when he realizes that when she claimed that she is happy in his happiness, tht she understands his unspoken - those were mere words.. shallow... nothing deeper!! Coz although, she does love & cares for him... but not really for Dev but much more for her own self... for own selfish reasons she wants him to be close to her.
Her happiness is in his happiness when he is with her. She can't accept... doesn't want him to be happy / content with anyone else. Definitely weird but not unheard of in some households
Wonder what will happen when he realizes that it was not Sonakshi she had problems with, but it was the very fact that he himself chose a girl, whom he loved so much, almost at par with her ownself... & not just now, she may never ever be okay with his marriage, unless it is a girl chosen by her whom she is sure wouldnt ever come that close to Dev!! Her love is so damn toxic... She is ready to make dev feel lonely & alone in the whole world, just coz she wants him all for herself!!
I think she doesn't want him to marry at all. Not about a girl she chooses. Because even if she does choose a girl herself, she knows her son enough to realize that he would give his wife time and affection. Time and affection of his that the mother doesn't want to share.
Yes, sona is in too much pain & for no fault of her!! she loves him truly & deeply and didnt deserve this. completely agree with her how she is trying to move on.. she has all the rights. But at least she has such an amazing adorable family, cousins & even ppl like Ritwik who are there to support her, listen to her silences, wipe her tears, with whom she can speak her heart out... but Dev ohh 😭... I feel really so so sad for Dev... he has just no one in his life like that anymore!!

Yes, it was his own doing, but he did what he has been used to of doing till date... Living for his family! He has never lived for himself, except for Sona, & thus when it came to it, he sacrificed his own happiness coz he believes he needs to keep his family & mata happy first... his own happiness doesn't mean much to him in front of theirs!! He also felt guilty of putting his own happiness on priority for the 1st time in life..& did what has always done, let go of his happiness!!
For him Sona was "his own" and thats why he was harsh to her, he cut her off, coz she is the only one who he thought really belongs to him. In real life too, we are generally more tough & hard to those ppl whom we are closer, whom we consider our truly own when we are in turmoil & emotional, coz we know that to them we can do that ( I know a twisted logic, but true) !! He also did that, without realizing its repercussions on him & on sona
If he had thought things through, he wouldn't have broken up that way with her. This guy doesn't think and analyse. He is not into problem solving. More like problem removal. He thought his love was the problem so he removed it.
But I so feel bad for him having such family... they love him but more for themselves for how he takes care of them... actually they need him more!! They feel proud of the fact that he lives only for his family.. without trying to understand that he is also an individual, a human who has feelings, heart, desires, wishes... & how he must be curbing them to keep them happy ! They come to him (including his sisters) when they need something from him, but without that as far as he is smiling on face... they are okay!! They dont even try to delve into his emotional issues... never one has asked him after break-up that how is he, how is he coping (mamaji an exception).. no one has made one effort to understand him, to be his friend ... He is just tooo alone, only one friend, true friend he had was Sona... which he only pushed away for his family!! & no one sees or wants to see what a sacrifice he has made.. for no credit, for nothing he has just given away everything he held dear in his life 😭😭
Yeah. I didn't like the Nikki Ishwari scene for that very reason. She looked at the Payal, remembered that it was what he'd ordered for Sona. Her next statement was - can I have it for myself?? I mean.. thoda sensitivity toh ho na!! 😡 Now my only hope is Neha. She knows her mom. She knows everything. She is the only one who can drill the truth into Dev Dixit.
I dont want Sona & Dev to come back to each other due to Ishwari or one big incident ( e.g. rumored suicide / engagement etc.), but I want them to come back to each other realizing they cant live without each other... esp Dev!! I want him to see the truth of ishwari's role in sona's rishta, and do something to live for himself, fight for himself for his happiness.. stand up for sona & his own self!!!
