Why is the idea of Dev attempting suicide a shocker?

But if they are planning marriage soon this small cut would neither be enough to jolt and wake up Ishwari nor enough for Sona to forgive him.

He cuts his hand, mama explains things to him, he goes and says sorry to Sona and tada, she forgives him! I will think very poorly of Sona if this happens.

I want a proper redemption for Dev. He should have to struggle to earn her forgiveness.

Maybe this glass cut happens after he sees Sona with ritwik. Then he goes and creates a scene in her engagement when Sona kicks him out. After that something drastic maybe an accident happens

Either they give him a proper redemption but with the speed at which ritwik track is progressing it doesn't seem possible. Or something drastic happens to make Sona forgive him instantly.

He keeps on behaving like an ass, creates problems in Sona and ritwik relationship and still Sona forgives him- I will not be able to accept that

I think it will not go in this simple way.Dev need to understand what he did was wrong.Sona should not forgive him easily.He should earn Sona's n also her family trust.Mama ji knocking some sense will make Dev get back his senses.

Seeing the seg.I don't think the wound is so big.

No one can help Dev other than him.He should stop thinking too much of what others will think.He should give a dam about if his family think he is selfish.Take things in his hand do what he wants to do.
