Dev's misery is clawing at my heart. He's so wretchedly miserable it's so obvious on his face. The whole family sees it. Ishwari's forced cheerfulness is jarring and extremely insensitive.
Can't you see how tortured his eyes look? He's walking around in deepest of hell right now. A grown man crying his heart out alone and no one went to comfort him. Why didn't Neha Riya or Nikki go see if he was OK? Mamaji said some consoling words but Dev still needed Sonakshi. She was the only one who knew him well enough inside.
How much did he wish he could see her ? See her smile , hold her hand? Hold her tight, and feel her hands around him tight.
So much.
But all he has is one recording of their last conversation. He has to listen to her voice breaking up with him again and again. What a torture. The lover Dev, got so angry he threw the phone hard it smashed into pieces. And then regret losing that last piece of her also.
How dare she say I can never hear her voice again? She's mine! How dare she say she wants to move on? With someone else? How dare she just delete me from her life like this! I love her !! She is mine !
Dev is in no state to move on. He did not say he didn't love her. He didn't say he will forget Sonakshi and move on. He chose pain and misery instead of being happy is all. His misery is making his mother happy, and he's trying to cope with that.
Is he ready for Sonakshi to move on from him? No! It'll kill him inside to know Sonakshi is trying to forget her love for him. He thought he had the right to make her miserable also forever? He didn't think that far. He only chose the punishment for himself, unknowingly inflicting her also.
He can't even call her. All she says is goodbye over and over. She won't ask how he was. She was his only solace, she was his happy place. Now she closed the door on him and left him out in the biting cold alone.
Sorry if I'm incoherent. The angst dose did things to my heart tonight.
P/S: when Ishwari asked if he was OK.
He answered, "Ek dum theek hai " ðŸ˜.. he's even using Sonakshi's words ..
