I referred to it in my post to you the other day. Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. It was a show on MTV. dont throw stones at me because it is about under 20 yr old kids. Just forget their age. It was very very well made. They tackled the whole journey of a relationship very well..you will forget the so called screen age..

haha... I will take your word for it. 😃
Sorry, I didn't even hear about the show.. should google it...
Didn't realize MTV produces fiction shows...

With you on this one completely... Looking at how things are unfolding, I think they know what they are doing and I am going to trust the team & enjoy what I see on screen...

BTW, What is KY2? 😊

KY2 means Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan(MTV show).😊 If we dont consider their off-screen mess then its one amazing show(only season1). Even though its a youth show it shows us how a perfect relationship looks like.

You will have to catch it on voot. MTV pulled them out from YT. You will have to sit through the rawness of the actors (cast is new and young) and the not so subtle first 20- 30 episodes. It settles into a good rhythm after that...they managed to engage for atleast 200 odd episodes bringing in freshness into the leads' interactions in every episode.plus they had a good storyline involving the whole cast for at least 150 episodes ...not an easy feat. I see that now in this show

Do you have any recommendations? When people ask me for recommendations I typically recommend KYY, some Pakistani, couple of Turkish dramas, BBC period dramas...I mean in the desi type drama/romance genre..I even came across 2 very well executed Korean dramas (normally I don't care for them because they are very slapstick)..

I am actually more of a Law & Order, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, CSIs, Bones follower. Revenge was a good watch too. I like the romance in Bones and everyone has a life and there is suspense around with the romance built in nicely... each character has its own story...
I like stories where characters have a fuller life, things to do, life issues and love is a part of it all rather than it being the sole focus. Love stories are never one-dimensional.

Even in Special Victims Unit, they are not just solving crime but each character has a story...

Friends & How I met your Mother are everyone's all time favorites...

Pakistani - I liked Zindagi Gulzar Hai & Humsafar.

Some Middle Eastern movies are fantastic but they are more drama than romance.

but I have heard 2 of my colleagues ooh & aah about some Korean romance dramas... I will get their recommendations & share. I think one was called 'Love'... They forced me to watch but I couldn't focus on the expressions while reading subtitles 😃

...Thanks for the Voot.com suggestion...
