Sonakshi: Aap se pyaar karne keliye.

I think this conversation (Episode - 86) tells us Sonakshi's state of mind better than any other conversation they've ever had. A confident girl of this 21^st century with good family and academic background. A young woman capable of handling her job with dedication and professionalism. A woman who can and would stand beside her man on an equal footing.

But a girl who has fallen in love for the first time. A young woman with hopes and dreams like every other girl. A woman with doubts and fears like any other.

She knows Dev. Or rather, is getting to know him quite well. She knows his childhood. Knows him as the self-made man that he is now. Knows his determination. Yes, he loves her. As much as she loves him. Probably more.

Yes the feeling of love is undoubtedly beautiful but it also brings forth the insecurities of does she deserve it, will he love her as much as she does, will he stand up for her.

But if he does, then why is he hesitating to share that with his family? She is happy to have him in her life. She is so happy that she wants her family to be part of that happiness. To share and multiply the joy that's bubbling in her heart. So why doesn't he want to? Why so much trepidation? Is he not happy to be with her? Has he begun to have second thoughts?

"Are you not sure about me?" she'd asked last night.

That thought process is so natural. In fact that whole phone conversation came across as very natural. Especially Sona's expressions that were mirrored on her face. She wants him to tell. Urges him to talk it out but doesn't want to come across as a desperate female pushing him to do what SHE wants.

While I do understand Dev's qualms / cold feet in talking to his mother, I am more interested in seeing how Sonakshi will approach him today. She has used the best approach last night by saying delaying would only hurt his mother. But after Ishwari's humgama in the kitchen, I can understand Dev's reluctance to bring up the topic. And the more he delays, the more Sonakshi's confidence on the love would be eroded.

Both of them want it all to be perfect and finding a way out to tell their families about them. Specially the Dixits, as even Sona is aware her family will be more than happy when they'll know about DevAkshi.😊
