Compare the struggles of an adult with a young child. I agree they had a tough life before. But then it wasn't just Ishwari who suffered. Dev and Neha too were part of it. But Ishwari being Ishwari never acknowledged or even tried understanding what a small child would have felt when she was given the responsibility of a mother of two young siblings. What Dev went through that changed a young child to an almost rock like person, with absolutely no emotions left inside of him. Ishwari doesn't know Dev or Neha because she is a self-centred women. Even now she likes when someone praises her say Dev or Mama, you can clearly see the expression on her face that tells how much she enjoys these times. She wants to keep those people around her. Nikki and Riya are almost don't even exist for Ishwari. Ishwari is a flawed character. Yes she too has her share of faults. She is human too and should be given an equal right to learn from her mistakes. The Dixit family as a whole needs healing. The emotional damage to Neha is so extent that she might need therapy. But Ishwari n Dev is not yet aware of the damage that their relationship have brought about in the life of the 3 girls especially Neha. Ishwari will realize it only if Dev is the one who is affected. So this is inevitable. Not even mamaji her brother knows that extent of Ishawari's insecurity and the damage it has done already. She hides it well. It is now coming out in the open because by the time she understood what was happening Dev was too deeply involved. It is high time justice is delivered to Neha.
Sona was the first person who challenged Dev for his faults, was very vocal about it. Dev himself started understanding what he is only when Sona pointed the hardness in him at various instances. Yes she made him want to be a better person. Unlike Ishwari who is full of herself to bring happiness to others. The only thing she cares is what does it would make her to be happy.Agree with you completely that it was Sona who made him realize and acknowledge what he is now. If Dev needed only a push Ishwari will need a shove.😆
Current phase, I don't believe If Dev would have disclosed about his relationship to his mother earlier things would had been any different simply because the problem never was or is that. And seriously no where a guy or a girl would go and tell to their parents about there love interest on day 1 or 2. All take time. Why are we expecting this from Dev when no one said a word when Neha did the same or rather much brutally confessed in front of all. Ishwari was all smiley and ready for the change. Appreciating Ranveer like hell. Again tells us Sona is not the problem for her, the problem is a girl got close to Dev. The decision was taken out of Ishwari's hand in case of NG or she would have done exactly the same even then or rather would have straight rejected Gujral's idea in no time. She has done that before in initial epis.I too agree that even if Dev had disclosed the problem will not have been solved. What would have changed is Iswari's approach to Sona. She wouldn't have come out this open and reacted to this extent if Dev had told her himself instead of her finding out herself. She will do everything slyly. But Dev would have understood. Now the war is on but they don't know their enemy.😆
I think Khatri has something to do with giving Ishwari money in exchange for something she cannot respectfully tell in front of Dev. Khatri does seem like he had crossed the line with Ishwari before by the way he came and held her hand.The root of Ishwari's insecurity lies in her past. She have some very bad past reality that is not yet put to rest. This past she fears will drive Dev away from her. She have concealed it from him.
Dev would be devasted by Ishwari's reaction after her initial approval. He would be confused and we would all be able to see including Ishwari weather she acknowledges those changes with Sona or not is yet to be seen.Dev would be devastated of course. But he cannot leave his mother. That is not the Dev, Sona fell in love with. When you have a festering wound on your feet you will treat the wound first and make sure the infection doesn't spread which might make it necessary to cut it off. If that happens then the person will never remain whole. But if you treat the wound and then treat the underlying disease you will be free. Dev have never taken anything for himself until now. All his actions were for the benefit of his family. This is the first time he is thinking about himself and mother-son will be at loggerheads. Dev will have to lose Sona for Ishwari to understand where she went wrong as a mother. It is high time her daughters get their mother back. That journey of hers starts here.
