When is she going to confront him? I hope Dev realize this soon , so that Sona doesn't have to suffer Ishwari's wrath .

I dare the writers to make this into a full fledged reverse Oedipus complex track 😆 I'l applaud them for their bravery then cos a lot of her actions are disturbing anyway and this is not the first time..It was abnormal when she sent Dev away for bringing a non-existent guest to Neha's engagement just because he was being friendly with a girl. It was abnormal when she cringed every time someone brought up Dev's marriage. It was abnormal when she was rude to Sona right after their dance at the party just because someone casually remarked that they look good together..It was abnormal when she casually dismissed Dev breaking the engagement for no reason at all (from her POV). And now it is abnormal that she compares a child's need for his mom at a young age with the possessiveness she now feels for her 28 year old son..But am pretty sure they'l eventually trace it down to insecurity, abandonment issues, possessiveness etc. Some of her actions are a lot more disturbing than that 😆
P.S. How good is Supriya..This is unpopular opinion but she is one of the main reasons why i find the show interesting..Not taking anything away from the love story but i find her possessiveness very fascinating and disturbing at the same time..Makes for a good psychological study..She needs therapy and am sure Dev will do everything apart from taking her to a psychiatrist 😆

Hey I liked what all. Instances u pointed out. It's all so very clear how Dev is going to get manipulated in a way no one can even think. Of... She is good at making him feel. Guilty,
How do u escape such a parent and that when the child is really attached and genuinely concerned,!! Let's see how this is shown...
Therapy and psychiatrist... 😆 they r never gonna make an appearance.

Whenever I hear this coming from my grandmother or father, I know I am screwed.
But, seriously. . Ishwari is way beyond my understanding now. Until yesterday, I had sympathies for her. . But, today she forgot her own prayers which she has been doing for 20 years. .and was angry on her son for doing what she has been asking him for years now.
I was right, she never wanted him to change, to worship God. It shakes her beliefs that She is everything for him.

God knows what kind of dialogues we will be forced to hear on Monday. 😕 And poor Dev was surely confused... But it got me thinking... He's always been very persuasive when he knows something is bothering his mother & he gets it out of her. But yesterday, I didn't see that in him. He just assumed that she was tired & she needed rest. Maybe because he was still fighting his battle with God?

So much for not noticing the 'raunak' on his face. Why couldn't she see the good change/fact, that there was someone else who could make him understand things in a different perspective? That too for her own happiness. The problem is not Dev listening to Sona. The problem is Sona! Sona is so important to him that he'd started listening to her. If GKB or one of his sisters were able to convince Dev & make him sit for the pooja... Then her reaction would be the same?? No, I don't think so...An insider could do anything but not an outsider.

I was right, she never wanted him to change, to worship God. It shakes her beliefs that She is everything for him.
So true! And what's the need to pray at all, when she actually can't think straight like a normal mother/person...😕 She has so less self-esteem that she feels the need to control Dev & she fears to be the 2nd most important person in Dev's life. Maybe that's why she's going to initially approve their relationship.

As soon as Dev broke off she agreed coz it was as per her convenience. She is ok with the changes in Neha ranveer brought but changes in Dev that sona brought are despicable to her. How rude was she to the poor girl... Think lady... She is also someones daughter like u have three of urs. And the precap shows her emotionally manipulating dev... I have a feeling Dev will in sometime get to see this side of hers with Sona and that can also trigger in him that they shd separate and I can kind of feel why Dev would not like to speak to his mom after seeing all of this...as it is sona would be hurt and Ishwari is not subtle in her expressions... She will make it clear she wants no one near him... So may b Dev will think going away from sona will save her from his mom's atrocities ... As per the initial promos.
Look where all my mind is going... 😡 seriously it's a difficult path to tread. I hope the makers know what they r doing... Guess they deserve a chance for sure ... Never seen anything Ike this before ...
Darr movie remake... Only that Srk Ka role has been grabbed by Ishwari Ji 🤣... Trying to joke... 😕

Yes..we all know that she got her brownie points the moment he said he didn't want to get engaged to Natasha... But Dev doesn't know that yet. Like you said he will learn that soon... With Ishwari going through this low self-esteem, insecure, possessive phase, we're definitely going to see Dev breaking down. The one he was worshiping all along is not as perfect as he thinks! He'd always thought that his mother understood him the most. Whatever decisions that he'd taken was always the right ones in Ishwari's eyes (expect the recent ones wrt to Neha). Can't imagine what's gonna go through him. This bubble has to burst soon. And it needs to also, for them to have a healthy/normal relationship & for the story line to move forward...

Ha ha... Ruchi! This Ma-beta dramatic story had definitely got us insane. A hug from one mother to another 🤗

Sona wants to just see Dev happy always. Eshwari wants to be always the reason/part of his happiness. As i said in some other post some days back, When our love is selfless, it gives freedom & strength to other person and when it becomes selfish, it takes out the same freedom & strength & suffocate that other person by making him weak & helpless. This is the exact diff between Eshwari's and Sona's love for Dev.

Love what you've said - When our love is selfless, it gives freedom & strength to other person and when it becomes selfish, it takes out the same freedom & strength & suffocate that other person by making him weak & helpless. 👏

Looks like he'll confront her soon... Ishwari seems to be actually running away from her fears. She wants to ask him but avoids it because she knows that the truth will be too difficult for her to handle..Her bubble is going to break soon. Sooner the better... for them & for us.. 😕 😆

Ha ha Oedipus complex...no way! 😆 But yes, most of her actions are very disturbing & sounds very unhealthy.. All those instances that you've listed out did show us how insecure Ishwari is when it comes to Dev. And yesterday's precap dialogues, took her insecurities & possessiveness a notch higher up or two...very abnormal... As always she's seen using manipulative ways & guilt to get his attention. And indirectly, she makes him feel guilty & holds him responsible for the distress/discomfort that she's going through. Does she even realize the damage that she's doing?? And what's bothering me is.. how is Dev going to react to this? Is he going to end up pleasing her as always by nodding/agreeing/staring blankly to whatever she says?? And I definitely think that she needs some kind of therapy/help...because I don't think she realizes that both her children, Dev & Neha have gone through enough emotional abuse at a very young age...and she's still doing it to Dev. Dev & Neha are perfect examples of children grown in a dysfunctional family. Dev is the super kid, the hero, who is overly responsible, over achiever & he gets acknowledged for the duties he fulfills. Whereas, Neha is the caretaker of the family & her efforts were neglected. You can't turn a blind eye to a mother who behaves so abnormally to her children.

I find her possessiveness very fascinating and disturbing at the same time.. So so true. She keeps you completely gripped...& disturbed & at the same time you feel horribly sad for her mental state.. Supriya a wonderful, amazing actor... 👏
