I seriously thought Dev is a guy , a human with emotions ...
Hey we men also have emotions and we allowed to cry
Dev crying because he wanted to do so much more for Neha and he didn't get that chance

Sorry I don't mean to be rude or anything but I know if my sister marries and leaves home someday I'll miss her I'll cry

Seriously?? 😕

This is all I've got to say!!

"Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts. I was better after I had cried, than before--more sorry, more aware of my own ingratitude, more gentle." - Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

A man or a woman should never be afraid to cry.

Let that man cry. Let him vent out his feelings along with few tears. He's just human.

Even I cried so much. When my Sis got married and she planned to settle in diff city.I missed her so much.Even now I also I miss her.Our fights, arguments n the good day with her.Men also have emotions n they also cry.Dev is not a alien. He is normal human being with emotions.

@Bold - That guilt of not doing much for Neha makes him more sad n he is crying.

In real world also some company face losses.Owner goes bankrupt. So they need to close their company. Before doing that. They settle their employees n also help their employees to find another job.

Dev has been shown as a boss who cares for his employees. So if at all CV's show Dev incurring loss .All staff including Tina loosing their job.Dev will help them to find a better job n will settle their dues.

Lot of excitement I see😃😃
Enough flippancy ..so lets get down to business.

For the record I love the show. Infact its the only Hindi TV show I watch. I am critical because I have expectations from it. When I am disappointed I voice them in my own fashion which may or may not be palatable to others.

Crying; Nothing wrong with the emotion at all be it a male or female. However this emotion, in my opinion must be used, at least by the major characters, to emphasis strong feeling of sadness/hurt. There should be a situation that demands and there should also be a proper built up for it to have the desired effect. If not used properly it becomes routine/common place and loses its importance.
One more important thing is that the audience should FEEL it not just KNOW the reason.

Case in point:
1. Dev when mamas house is burnt down
2. Sona when she is informed by mami that gujrals came with a proposal for Dev
3. Sona when she cries sitting on the window sill the night before Devs engagement

In all the above scenes they all were justified, well enactedand very well built up so that audience (or atleast I could) feel the pain and may be even have shed a tear or two myself.

How many of you can actually say the same about yesterdays crying scene. It was very poorly done.

One second he was being his authoritative self with Tina and the gang and the next scene he already had moist eye. There was no built up. Just an abrupt jump from one scene to the other (ignore Sona's scene as thatirrelavant to Devs situation)

We all know Dev was missing his sister but depth of it was not properly shown for the audience (in this instant) to feel it. I dont know... they could have given us some flashbacks of how Neha had to sacrifice things or some interaction between Dev and Neha which Dev now regrets.

None of that.

Just a sudden bout of crying and the audience is supposed to feel bad and sympathize? That's lazy direction. In affect wasting a perfectly good emotion because of poor direction and giving an impression as if Dev can cry at the drop of a hat.

Ohhh...so story is not at fault... it is editing...
not acting... remind u... editing.. 😆
for u to feel the moment... u wanted the flashbacks to be shown again...
A POV i think which differs from person to person...
So all the rave... for nothing guys...

Dev is called by Tina to speak on the losses... and obviously he cannot be acting sad in that scene...he has to take control of that as a headstrong boss...
Once he is back... the beauty of that scene is... he doesnt even think a sec selfishly.. of how he will rebuild his empire... but was still sustaining the emotion he was in...wishing if he cud have spent more time with her...

1) he had to act brave for his 2 young sisters..(does not mean that Sona sat and listened to him.. and it is all over)
2) he had to shun that feel for a moment while he was discussing business.. expected to be shouldering (did u notice he went in that same tshirt)
3) returning back he is a weak person... already am sure the business is worrying.. coz he told his mom there is no problem... but it happd... and on top of that he was already feeling bad that in the process to be this big for them all... he could not spend much time with Neha at all..

there is no absurdity in the scene according to me... and frankly i did feel the moment... as much as Dev did...

Now coming to the other side of the coin...

You say you love the show.. how is it that we don't see you participate in any of the posts in the forum.. and all I see is heavy criticism (positive as you say?).. expectation and that's all...Well we hope to see you more often participating in the forum... like us all...Then probably we would feel you are genuinely a fan of this one show...with HIGH expectations... 😃
