I respect your POV...but I will have to disagree with you... I don't think Devakshi romance is cheesy... They are portraying it in a very matured way... This show is very unique and beautiful...

1. They are shown only 27 and 26 and not 47 and 46. So they will act romantic and even cheesy at times. Everyone
does in the first flush of love. It's very common for men to go all gaga praising their lady loves at this juncture.

2. This is an Indian show. they can't show mature love scenes or even proper hugging or kissing

3. Sonakshi is not shown an 18 or 20 year old female whose only ambition in life is to get married like Ekta kapoor or Rashmi Sharma shows. So she cannot behave like the heroines of these shows do in love scenes- acting breathless, tongue-tied or acting childish and naive in general with the hero running after her to please her.

4. The conversation between the leads would have to be like intelligent adults only.

5. Most importantly, maybe the hidden agenda of the CVs is to show the contrast between all the promises Dev is making and the harsh reality when he is forced to choose between his mother and his love

Completely agree with you... The test of times is coming for Dev and Sona... More for Dev

If it's appreciated, so be it ----- I don't appreciate it --- That's why I said *to each his own* --- !!!!
Physically creepy ones --- really -- ? *lmao*

When did I say otherwise --? They are in their mid 20s to late 20s ---- Not in their teens - lol-- !!!
My exact words from Pg.3

2. This is an Indian show. they can't show mature love scenes or even proper hugging or kissing

Didn't ask for it either --- !!!

3. Sonakshi is not shown an 18 or 20 year old female whose only ambition in life is to get married like Ekta kapoor or Rashmi Sharma shows. I don't see any relevance to this argument when I haven't shown any admiration for Ekta or Rashmi shows or their formula of romance --- !!!

4. The conversation between the leads would have to be like intelligent adults only.

Agreed ---- That's what I am asking for ---- Promos showed them to be intelligent, independent adults --- but they are going way too ott for me ---- they need to tone it down --- !!!

5. Most importantly, maybe the hidden agenda of the CVs is to show the contrast between all the promises Dev is making and the harsh reality when he is forced to choose between his mother and his love

Sure --- I can work with this argument --- But CVs can definitely tone it down a notch or two so people like me can enjoy it as well --- !!!

Later -- !!!

Yay ---- one more --- !!! *😃*
CVs should really take this thread into suggestion and tone down the romance a bit down ---- or make it at the least less kiddish --- so some of us don't have to barf or skip their scenes --- lol --!!!!

I thought so too --- That's why I used to eagerly wait for it even enjoyed it till last few episodes --- !!!!
Can't help it but I am disappointed with the ottness of their romance -- **
The wedding and their affair coming out in open will open more doors to less stagnancy of their silly romance--- At least that's what I am expecting so I can go back to watching and even loving this show --- But right now, it's boring me --- !!!

I do echo your thoughts for sure ---- *Dreamy euphoric* in the initial stage of love --- sure -- !!!
But they have to sell it ---- May be it's the actors ---- ? Their romance comes across superficial and flossy --- Or may it's the cheesy writing ---- ? May be Sonakshi --- ? Her character and her expectations of romance doesn't really go hand in hand --- I always felt CVs took a drastic turn with her character when they reduced her to a day dreaming puppy for many episodes ---- Now, her character simply doesn't go with what was shown in the promo --- And Erica as an actor doesn't look natural portraying this cheesy romance ---- IMHO --- !!!!
Guess it could be the mixture of all ----- or may be something else -- but it doesn't negate the fact their romance bores me --- !!!

@Everyone else: Can't reply all, but thanks for contributing --- Nothing personal --- but I had more expectations from the show and the characters I had seen in the promos ---- *Sigh*
