does Ishwari really want Dev to get married?

Whenever the topic come regarding Dev's Marriage, she becomes very passive and sad.

Whenever Dev used to ask her regarding marriage, she used to say it is your decision.

When radha rani mentioned that once you get married, you neednt cling to your mom as your wife would have the first right. Ishwari was taken aback with this statement.

Ishawari had also gone to a flashback when the young dev had promised his mother that he would never leave her and would always be with her. i am not aware if he mentioned that i wont get married, i would be with you. Ishwari mentioned that she wont remind him of the promise he had given her. She gets irritated with anyone who speaks about Dev's Marriage.

Every mother becomes ecstatic if they know they son is getting engaged or married. But Ishwari doesn't show any sign of happiness.she just looks at Dev's reaction. She doesn't help him to clear the cloud in his mind. No mother would do it. she would help him and be happy with his decision.

Does she want Dev to get married after all the sisters are married?

I am unable to decipher what is going on in iswari's mind?

What do you think does she really want Dev to get married?

Thank you Krystle. But even i am muddled about Ishwari reaction to Dev's marriage.

Nice post !! Ishwari is not different from most of the moms. But she has taken the possessiveness and insecurity to another level.

I totally agree.

She saying no to help him out to make a decision actually made Dev find a friend in Sona.. she is the reason for him falling for Sona :)

Anyway She is a complicated personality.. and has insecurities which need to be addressed and am hoping her character will be explored in the coming days.

Yep I definitely agree that she gets uncomfortable whenever an issue of his marriage comes up.

It all goes back to the beginning of the show when she couldn't let him marry that girl for the sake of letting Neha marry someone who had agreed to all her terms.

I just think that she is very protective of Dev because of everything they have been through. Dev and Ishwari worked very hard for what they have now and I think that is why Ishwari is so protective of him. I think she also sees how naive he is and she doesn't want people taking advantage of him. I think that's why she said no at the beginning of the show. And I think that that is why she is so uncomfortable with Natasha because they clearly will only go through the contract if Dev marries Natasha.

So I think that Ishwari is okay with Dev eventually getting married. But she doesn't want it to be out of necessity or for business.
