Okay so here is the third and last part of this TS... this is actually quite long... I was about to split this into two parts... but then combined it together as it was TS only...

PART THREE
Sona assumed that after this much time Dev must have left as she knew THE DEV DIXIT never waits for anyone.
It was almost 1 at night and was raining heavily outside. Jiyana was in deep slumber of sleep but Sona was all awake. Her today's encounter with Dev wasn't letting her sleep.
She kept changing her sides on bed but nothing was helping. She was unable to understand why she was feeling so much restless... Her heart was beating faster and faster.
She got up from bed and opened her main door and the sight her eyes caught made her tremble in fear. She was shocked and horrified to found Dev there sitting on the bench in front of her home.
He was shivering in cold after sitting in heavy rain from almost 3 hours. Sona immediately rushed towards him asking him to come inside. He was a bit unconscious due to the extra cold. She tried to make him stand but he jerked her hands mumbling that he won't go without talking to Sona.
Tears again brimmed in Sona's eyes. Though she was angry, hurt and much more beyond that but still she could not see him in pain. She made him stand and took him inside her home by supporting him by his shoulders.
Sona made him sit on the couch and rushed in her room to bring a Towel. She started drying his hairs with the Towel. Till then Dev had gained his proper consciousness. He was staring at her without blinking his eyes.
After so many years he was feeling her from this much close. Dev was stunned as well as happy to see the care and worry for him in those eyes again. No matter how much he had hurt her but she...she still cares for him.
Sona went inside and bring a pair of clothes and asked him to change. He quietly followed her instructions and went to change. He came back and sat on couch after changing. His eyes were searching for her only. He did catch the cold. He was badly sneezing.
Sona came back with a coffee mug and kept it on the table. And she turned back to leave but stopped at her place when she heard him coughing badly. Within a minute she was standing in front of him with a glass of water.
Dev took the glass from her looking at her only and started drinking the water but started coughing more badly. Sona took the glass from his hand and started rubbing his back.
"Upar dekho ", Sona asked him to look above.
"Huh?" that was not understood by Dev . She held his chin and made him look above while rubbing his back. After a while Dev stopped coughing. Sona took her hand back from his chin and turned back.
But before she could leave, Dev held her hand causing her to turn back at him. "Please", he pleaded to her asking her to stay and talk. Sona didn't want to have any conversation with him but his eyes... his pleading eyes was making it hard to leave from there. She remembered the scene she saw some time before. His flashes of shivering in rain haunted her. She was scared even with the thought of what if he does something like this again? Composing herself she decided to end this for once and all.
Freeing herself from his grip, she sat on the chair in front of him.
"Thik hai , I will listen to you but after that you will have to leave from here and you will not do anything like this ,okay ?", making herself very clear that he will have to leave after this conversation and won't do any such stuff to talk with her she asked him to say whatever he wants to.
Dev's happiness had no bounds. Finally she gave him a chance... she was ready to listen to his clarification.
"Before five years why you left ?", Dev didn't want to ask this but he wanted to know how much she knows so that he could proceed.
"Kyu tumhari girlfriend ne tumhe bataya nahi why I left ?", Sona snapped back stretching the word girlfriend. Dev smirked noticing her jealousy.
"Sona please according to your conditions ye hamari last conversation hai ... so please " Dev asked her to reply.
"Tum aaye hi kyu ho yaha ? Instead of enjoying with your girlfriend what are you doing here ? oops let me guess ...5 sal pehle mere jane ke vajah se mujhe barbad nahi kar paaye the ...to ab karne aaye ho ?",
Dev felt as if someone pierced his heart by listening this. But before he could say anything Sona took her phone and
"Natasha...I wont leave her... at any cost... mai uski zindagi barbad kardunga... uske vajah se mere PYAR ne jitna bhi suffer kiya hai na usse kahi jada usko karna padega... I will finish her ...I will fake love with her ...will fake a relationsip with her and eventually will left her with nothing"
She played the recording which was sent by Natasha to her with a message that she should hear it every day. It would never let her forget about Dev's betrayal and her stupidity to trust him.
Tears formed their way through her eyes. "Sirf aur sirf tumhari girlfriend ek competition jeet nahi paayi isliye tumne mere sath ye sab ? How could you Dev? How could you? You knew I never believed in love after my dad's betrayal to my Mom and still you went on doing that? You broke me in every sense Mr. Dev Dixit... How could you fake love with me ? how could you fake a relationship with me ? and ...", She stopped realising what she was about to say.
Dev cursed himself for giving her so much of pain. Getting up he went towards Sona and sat on his knees. Holding her both hands,
"Nahi Sona... maine sirf aur sirf tumse pyar kiya hai... meri koi girlfriend nahi hai... sirf tum thi aur tum hi rahogi... I agree hamare relationship ka start jaroor jhoot se hua tha but after knowing truth I fell for you... I fell truly in love with you Sona ". Even after wanting, Sona could not take off her hands from him.
Truth?... Which truth he was talking about? Her mind was caught with so many questions.
"Sona, Natasha lied to you... there is not even 1 % truth in whatever she told you", said Dev finally coming to the point.
Sona's eyes widen on the sentence what she just heard a moment ago. She jerked his hands away and stood up.
"What did you say? She lied to me??... No Mr Dixit she didn't lie to me ...it's you who always did and still doing". She spoke in a very hurt tone but still maintaining a stern one showing him that she is not weak.
Dev felt a sharp pain after hearing all those words from Sona. Though he expected a lot more from her after whatever Natasha told her but still it hurt him a lot more than he thought it would.
"I know Sona after whatever stuff Natasha told you and plus that recording ...it's very obvious reaction from you but please listen to me...it's not like what she showed you...please angel listen to me only once...if after listening to me , you would not believe me then I will leave from here right that time I promise", he assured her that if after hearing his clarification she would not believe him he will never come back here again.
Sona took a deep breath. She thought if hearing him once could end all this then she should better do that. "Fine go ahead", she told him in a feeble voice to start.
"Sona I agree I involved with you only for the sake of revenge, but that had nothing to do with Natasha... it's because of my sister Neha"
"Neha ? Neha Dixit ? ", Sona asked him shockingly. Dev nodded positively. Damn how could she miss it...Neha Dixit... Dev Dixit... How the hell she didn't think this before...
"Yeah my little sister Neha... the day you joined our college same day Neha was caught in an accident and she suffered a serious brain injury ...she slipped into coma...when I got to know about this I was shattered beyond limits. Neha is my only sister. From our childhood I never allowed any scratch on her and that time she was lying lifelessly in front of my eyes...my anger overpowered me and blinded me with the rage for the person who was responsible for my sister's condition ", Dev's eyes were becoming moist remembering Neha's condition. Sona felt really bad hearing all this.
Dev soon composed himself and continued,"I started investigating about Neha's accident, but surprisingly neither did I nor Police found anything about the culprit. After 2 days Neel came to me and he told me it was you behind Neha's accident".
"What???", Sona got one more shock of her life. Firstly Neha's accident and secondly she was being blamed for her accident.
"Neel told me that you were behind him , you loved him and you couldn't tolerate Neha and Neel together and you started instigating Neha about him so that she could l1eave him and you could get with him and when that also didn't work out you planned to kill Neha. It came as a shock to me. That's why I decided to cross check about everything. I went to Neha's college and her friends told me that you slapped Neel in front of whole college about spoiling Neha's life and even asked Neha to stay away from Neel. And moreover Neha told me about Neel two days before her accident, she was really happy to be with him. So that was it then, my anger for my sister's condition brought out the worst in me. I decided to finish you, to hurt you, to make you feel the same pain my sister was going through. I got to know that music was your life so planned to ruin your music career. At the same time I wanted you to feel the pain in love like you planned to separate Neel and Neha, so I planned to fake a relationship with you. I decided to make you fall for me and then make you suffer heartbreak and that's what I did".
Dev's voice was shaking remembering about the injustice he did with her for the sake of revenge and that too in one misunderstanding. But Noo he could not feel weak right now. He has to let Sona know much more.
He continued,"But after being in a relationship with you I realised that you are a very pure and selfless soul. No matter what you could never harm anyone and my instincts were true. After one month Neha came out of Coma and she told me whatever Neel told me was nothing more than a lie...a lie to take revenge from you for showing Neel's true face to Neha and saving Neha's life. Neha told me that you tried to show her Neel's real face many times but she didn't believe you, but the day she met in an accident was the day her eyes got opened with Neel's truth. She caught Neel with some other girl and after confronting him. Neel told her she was just a toy for him and she slapped him and when Neha was returning it was Neel who hit her with his car for slapping him in public.
And that day I got to know that how wrong I was ...But at the same time I was helplessly fallen for you. I tried telling you so many time but could never gather enough courage in fear of losing you and one day...you left...you left me without even meeting me". Dev hung his head down in guilt.
"Its not true... I saved Neha because I knew Neel's real face. He cheated on my best friend and when one day I went to her college to meet my one friend, I saw Neha with Neel together... So I warned her to stay away from him for her betterment only... I had no other intentions but she didn't believe me as she really loved Neel... but then one day she called me to tell that she saw Neel's real face and I was so happy for her but after that day I had no contact with her... but I guess it was the same day when Neel hit her", Sona told Dev in low voice.
But still Sona was not able to connect Natasha with all this,"To fir Natasha?", Sona wasn't really came out of the shocks of big revelations she just heard a while ago but all in Dev's clarification she could no where hear Natasha.
Dev sighed, "Natasha... she was nothing more than a friend to me. And she knew about Neha and my plan to take revenge from you... But when I confronted her the day you left, I came to know about her feelings towards me. She was in love with me...and when I told her that I was wrong about you and I have fallen for you, she went crazy and she told you that her self-made story. She thought you were snatching me from her and made a plan to separate us...
I know I know you are thinking about...uske vajah se mere PYAR ne jitna bhi suffer kiya hai ...this right ? Sona mai Neha ko PYAR bulata hu ...you know she is crazy for love from start so I gave her a pet name as PYAR". Dev cleared her all misconception which were formed because of Natasha.
Sona was in state of shock. She was unable to understand she should be angry on him for mistrusting her or she should be happy knowing he didn't love Natasha or any other girl, he loved only her or she should feel guilty for hiding Jiyana's truth from him.
Dev went towards dining table to drink water. He picked up the glass and his gaze fell on the pictures hanging on the walls. There were so many pictures of Sona and Jiyana together. Dev's lips curved into a smile adoring the mother daughter bond.
But then something strike to his mind, he again roamed his gaze on all the pictures where he could see only Sona and Jiyana's pictures but he could not find Jiyana's father in a single one.
He closed his eyes to remember the night ...when he and Sona got intimated... There is no photograph of Jiyana's father... Sona left him before 5 years and Jiyana is also around 4 years. Connecting all dots, Dev opened his eyes with a jerk and looked at Sona who was still sitting on couch deeply engrossed in her thoughts.
Sona wasn't wearing Mangalsutra or sindoor. And that's it... the glass held by Dev broke into pieces due to the extreme pressure applied by his hand. Because of broken glass pieces, Dev's hand got hurt. His hand started bleeding by now.
The sudden noise of breaking glass broke Sona's trance and she shouted seeing blood dropping from his hand... "Devvv". She rushed towards him and held his bleeding hand which was immediately jerked by Dev. Pulling himself away from her, he demanded her to answer his question, "Sona, Jiyana kiski beti hai ?".
Sona's eyes filled with tears hearing his question. But she was worried for his hand, "Dev tumhe chot lagi hai, let me do the dressing first then we can talk", she was trying to check his hand but he was not letting her to do so.
"Sona, Jiyana kiski beti hai?", he again asked the same question hoping she would answer this time. But by looking she was staring at his hand only with tears continuously falling from her eyes, he picked up one piece of broken glass from ground and pierced it in his already bleeding hand causing it to bleed even more, "Ab bolo Jiyana kiski beti hai?".
Dev knew Sona can never see him in pain. He was sure she will not lie now. Sona was terrified to see the blood oozing from Dev's hand. She shouted, "Tumhari ...tumhari beti hai Jiyana". Sona fell down on her knees crying miserably, "Hamari beti hai".
Dev's eyes got filled with the joy and happiness and proud of being a father of a beautiful and adorable daughter. He left the glass from his hand and kneeled down in front of Sona wiping her tears, he took her in his embrace thanking for giving him this gift. Sona encircled her arms around him sobbing in his chest.
"I am sorry Dev, I am really very sorry, I should have told you about Jiyana, you had right to know about your daughter", Sona's guilt of hiding about a daughter from his father had overpowered her anger on Dev.
Dev pulled her out of hug caressing her cheek, "Shh Sona, don't cry, isme tumhari koi galti nahi hai, it was me who was at fault and because of me you had to bear so much alone, I was not there with you when you needed me most, all because of me, my mistakes". Dev comforted her letting her know that she don't need to feel guilty as it was not her fault.
Sona kept her palm on his mouth, "Nahi Dev meri bhi galti hai, I should have talked to you once before leaving but Natasha showed that recording and I couldn't handle pain of betrayal and I ...", this time Dev placed his hand on her mouth nodding negatively.
Removing his hand from her mouth, "Sona kya ham sab bhool k ek nayi shuruwat kar sakte hai hamari beti ke sath?",
Sona nodded her head upside down positively with tears in her eyes. She wrapped her arms around his neck feeling the moment which she always wanted to, feeling him close to her after so many years. Dev hugged her back protectively assuring her that he will be always with her from now.
Sona pulled herself back from the hug making Dev to raise his eyebrows at her asking her what happened. She showed him his hurt hand and got up to bring first aid box. Sona came back with first aid box and started dressing his wound. He smiled at her care for him.
"Sona can I sleep with you and Jiyana ? I want to sleep with my wife and daughter." Asked Dev as Sona finished the dressing of his hand.
"Wife? Ye kab hua? We are not married", Sona let out a chuckle seeing Dev's cute expression and frown after getting indirect hint of he can't sleep with them.
Pulling her onto him,"Accha? Yad nahi wo rat? Jiske vajah se Jiyana hui...".
Sona went into flashback of remembering that night when they took vows around fire. Accepting each other as husband wife they took their relationship to next level. She smiled remembering all those beautiful memories. She never thought she could live the life which she always wanted to live ...a simple life with Dev and her daughter but today she could see that dream coming true.
They both went to room where Jiyana was sleeping. Dev and Sona sat on either sides of her. Dev's happiness had no bounds. He was thrilled to see his little one sleeping in front him. He was elated knowing about his daughter. He placed an affectionate kiss on forehead and slept besides her adjusting blanket properly on her.
Next day Jiyana woke up to find sleeping Dev besides her. She instantly got up and sat on her place staring confusingly at Dev. The poor little one had so much questions in her baby mind, "Arey ye to wo kal wale uncle... nahi mumma ne kaha tha inhe uncle nahi bolna hai...lekin ye yaha kya kar rahe hai". Jiyana was thinking with her little finger on her nose trying to figure out what exactly Dev was doing there. She was about to shout for Sona but her gaze fell on the locket Dev was wearing and first word she said was... "PAPA"
Dev immediately got up from sleep hearing PAPA from his daughter. His eyes were filled with the tears of happiness after hearing that from his daughter.
Making her sit on his lap, Dev asked her caressing her soft hairs lovingly, "What did you say angel?" to which the cute doll again replied innocently, "Papa". Dev kissed her hairs affectionately cuddling her close to him.
After everything got sorted between him and Sona, he thought that making Jiyana understand would be somewhat difficult...but here Jiyana ... already understood that he is her father. He couldn't understand how did Jiyana get to know about them.."Beta how did you "
"Wo locket", Jiyana said childishly pointing at his locket hearing which Dev gazed at his locket touching it with his fingers. He gave a confused look to Jiyana not understanding what his daughter meant.
Jiyana got up from Dev's lap and stood infront of him on bed. She pulled out a locket she was wearing which was hided by her top making it visible to Dev, "Mumma told me this is a gift from my dad for me"
Dev's eyes brimmed with the shine by glancing at the locket which was given by him to Sona on the night they consummated their love. At that time Sona was told by him that he will bring same lockets for their kids too.
Dev pulled Jiyana in his fatherly embrace, "Mumma told me you were busy in work but you love me very much, papa you love me na? And you won't leave us now right? I won't let you go anywhere now, you know I missed you so much", Jiyana opened up to him about her insecurities of him leaving her.
"Never beta ...papa will never leave his princess alone ...papa loves you so much Jiyana ...from now Jiyana, mumma and papa will always leave togther". Dev assured his daughter that no matter what he will always be with them.
Sona was standing at the door adoring the eye pleasant sight ...the sight which she always wanted to see... Jiyana getting love of her father and that came true today.
Dev looked at Sona and signalled her to come there. He held her hand and kissed it expressing gratitude for giving such a lovely family to him. He pulled her in a hug with Jiyana still cuddling to him ...a perfect picture of a sweet and happy family.
