Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I have been a silent member of this forum and have broken this silence with comments here and there😆. This post has MY opinion regarding the show so far.
KRPKAB is one of the few shows that has attempted to be different. The emotions are not OTT, the actors are good at what they are doing, the set is appropriate BUT there are a few things that are not going for me.
  • The Natasha track: From the time I have known of it from various articles it hasn't gone down to well with me. It seems to soon. Also, Natasha is a ball of sugar, that makes me want to cringe. She might be a positive character but she sure gets my goat. I wonder why the Dixit family hasn't got diabetes yet. (Sonakshi must be at work trying to supplement food to avoid it, I guess😉)
  • Mr Gujral: The portrayal of the character seems fine but he is quite opportunistic. Sorry to say but his daughter is quite the dumbo in comparison to him as far as business is concerned. She isn't half as concerned as him or even Dev.
  • Post Accident scenario: The makers totally ruined this for me. I was not at all happy with the way Sonakshi was always dreaming about Dev. The emphasis should have been more on Dev caring for her than she failing 'head over heels' in love with him. Basically, it seems quite rushed to me
Now for some positives. There are a lot of things that are going for me as far as this show is concerned.
  • Neha's character graph: This by far has been the best thing in the current storyline. She has grown from strength to strength. Her stance towards life is changing. But the change is happening gradually. I like her pairing with Ranveer, but her refusal of his marriage proposal was something I didn't mind. This is because she thought it through and had valid reasons for refusing the proposal. I am looking forward ti her character's journey. I also hope that she and Sonakshi become friends in the long run.
  • The DREAM sequence: The recent dream sequence was a winner for me. Shaheer and Erica's expressions were very good. They were apt and not OTT. The subtlety in their acting is what I Iiked in that sequence. I hope that when their love story kickstarts we get plenty of such moments.
  • The family paradox: The Bose family are a normal family. Whatever life gives them, they are in it together. They are pillars of support for each other. whereas, the Dixit family, everyone seems to be divided. Nothing is for keeps. And with people like Radharani, their woes only increase. Ishwari's possessiveness/ controlling nature will only worsen things in future. They are happy on the outside but still have to fill voids that exist within them on an individual level.
  • The Cast: I would like to mention that the actors part of the cast for this show have added to the show, for the better. They are all good performers and convey the feelings of their character well. The cast is a WINNER in this show.
  • Shaheer and Erica pairing: Over the years, it has become quite important for the lead pair to click with the audience, atleast on Indian tv. Shaheer and Erica's pairing is fresh. They are quite convincing as Dev and Sonakshi respectively. They look good together.
(PS: I have started shipping them. I hope this ship sails.😳 If anyone is crazy for them let me know, we can talk about them at length. I know I'd love to😊. Also to know more about my take on Ishwari click here- 133508901)

This brings me to the end of my post. I know it was lengthy (my apologies!) but I wanted to share my views on this forum. Feel free to let me now what you feel, as this is my opinion. Different opinions are most welcome.

Nice analysis!

Neha's character has been the perfectl written and executed one from the very beginning. I love her character growth a lot. She is a very strong woman. And, yeah, I too did not mind it when she refused Ranveer's proposal. It is totally justified on her part.

The actors are all FANTASTIC. No doubt about that.

And then, the lead pair. They have an AMAZING chemistry. And the day Dev too will start developing feelingd towards Sona, from that day the show'll be fantastic.

The only disappointment and that too a MAJOR one is how Sona's character is shaping up. We had enough of her dream sequences, ceaseless staring and random mutterings. CVs just stop with it. Sona is a 25 year old, matured and headstrong girl. Not a teenager. Sona should be a bit f a khadoos yet the sweet, normal girl with dreams. Tht is the normal Sona. People love her like that. So keep her like that. Not this dreamy one.

Thanks😊.
Yes, Dev needs to get rid of Natasha ASAP! She irritates the hell out of me. And Sonakshi dreaming like a teenager is kind of silly.

I actually really like this post because I do agree with a lot of your points. But I feel like I want include some things I have thought as well.

1) Natasha- she is diabetes in a human form. I do understand (bcos I have met) certain people like her, but it gets a little too much. The Cvs have given her a dynamic character: a business woman who has hobbies in life like travelling and cooking (note- we don't even know if Dev has any hobbies apart from worshipping his maa). But the CVs haven't given her any personality. The dynamic is very badly executed I find. Her character is said to be that of a businesswoman, well she shouldn't have fallen asleep when Dev was presenting something. There are parts of her personality that are not well executed. Her character looks great on paper though.

2) Her father- He is a business man through and through. He doesn't differentiate his dealings with personal and professional matters, which is actually somewhat understandable. Most businessmen/woman, don't differentiate btwn the two aspects of life.

3) Neha- THIS CHARACTER IS ONE OF THE MOST REALISTIC ONE I HAVE SEEN SO FAR! Her anger, her perspective on life, her mindset is so relatable. Her character is so vulnerable yet there is so much anger, arg I am so partial to her. Onscreen actress really understands her role, it never comes off too rehearsed or confused. Love

4) Ishwari- Too much possessiveness. She is almost like a toddler in that aspect and Dev is the toy she craves for. This will cause a lot of problems as its just not right, so fundamentally jumbled up. If executed well and no the "seen this a million times" screenplay I will enjoy it. Makes me wonder what extent the CVs are willing to go to, will be let Dev and Sona be the OTP? Or will they show them to be in love but not together? I dunno know?

5) I found the "love wali feeling" a little rushed too, if they had shown it to be something like infatuation or some kind of soft spot towards Dev for saving her life, it would have totally made sense. Meh Hindi serials, can't expect everything can we?

I have just realised that I have been rambling. Sowwwy!
Looking forward to your next take on the show,

P ❤️
