Yep, he is a puzzle and I can't seem to understand him! The way he is with Sona and the way he interacts as Dev Dixit the businessman, son and brother is so different! Today, he mentioned a few things that I felt showed he is still nowhere close to questioning why he is so comfortable with Sona and cares for her. At the same time, there are glimpses of him clearly growing more comfortable with Sona. The combination of both has made Dev Dixit a puzzle!

For example, he was complimenting Natasha so openly in front of Sona. It's clear that he admires her as a working woman in business with her modest personality. Then he says she's not Miss Aubhodro. Like he wants to convey see she is extremely nice. Natasha has made an impact on him but it's purely from a business perspective - a world that he is involved in too much right now. Then he very casually compared how Sona 'shiddat se' is waiting for her love story to be completed, just like he is waiting for his deal. Whilst I absolutely love how he opened up here about how much the deal means to him, I also think it was good for Sona to pull him up for joining two things together, even if it was in a jokey way. For me, Dev here has to realise that at some point, that love story of Sona's will involve him too and will probably turn out to be the most important deal of his life too. Something for him which seems 'meh' at present will turn out to be a life changer 😆 Boy is he in for a shocker!

Another things that brought a smile to my face was when he kept on asking Sona whether he is rude with his hand on his hip 😆That was cute! It shows how easily he is able to joke around with her and with his head leaning in slightly, the change in body posture and language marked a step towards Dev being more comfortable, confident, even slightly flirty in Sona's presence. Something you rarely see him do in the presence of other women. Also, a man cooking for a woman is so attractive! I think there was an element of showing off there as well with the cucumber throwing antics 😆 He was owning that kitchen like anything and enjoying cooking in a relaxed atmosphere! Dev is a completely different person!

Last but not the least, Dev lying about what took him so long! Not a door jam but a traffic jam. 😆Why Dev Babu? 😆 Another indication that for some reason, he felt the need to keep that privy. Otherwise really, this is no big issue. However, Dev felt the need to not reveal his whereabouts.

I am waiting for this trigger and I am guessing the trigger is going to be the proposal from Gujral and a mixture of Sona's gestures and distance beginning to affect him, that will propel him to think. I am glad that Sona called Natasha a Mr Dev Dixit in today's episode. That is precisely what Dev needs to realise - that he will be marrying a woman who is a reflection of himself and rather than offering him something different, will keep him engaged in the same boring, colourless and corporate world where working hard and sealing deals is seen as living a life.

Well written... The orange shirt promo makes sense ... He didn't like orange so did nuts but he is falling in love with a girl with different likings and he is ready to defend her choices... Maybe its a sign that he might try to fight for sona...

Interesting. Wonder what he is trying to do with 2 women in his life. One that brings emotions out of him and the other who is more his type. One person provides him with comfort and strength he craves and the other impresses him with business success. I am not sure of his feelings for Sona. He seems to be interested in her and when she responds he runs away and becomes the boss man. Sona needs to make him do the chasing like he chasing the deal.

Yes true...Dev hasnt realized the subtle changes in his own behavior...
The ease and comfort that he feels with his family doesnt extend to anyone else except Sona...in fact, more than his family, I would say Sona now that she knows about the sleeping pills and he didnt feel at all hesitant sharing with her that he has issues but he cant confide about them in anyone.

In yesterday's episode, there were so many small nuances of Dev...like you said, joking with Sona, teasing her and the slight, very slight hint of flirtation in his teasing. He isnt like that with anyone else and he doesn't even realize it of course...in fact he doesn't even realize the changes she has brought in him since she has come into his life...he seems more relaxed and jovial now compared to the Dev Dixit we were first introduced to.

I think this was also the first time he didnt have dinner cooked by his mother...also he lied about his whereabouts!...that was one of the best scenes yesterday! For soem reason , even unknown to him, he felt to that informative only to himself (or maybe he will confide it later in his mother) But I liked how he didnt tell it in front of everyone.

He wont realize anything even when he comes to know about the marriage proposal. He seems to admire Natasha and she will be just be like any other business deal for him
I think the trigger or catalyst will be Sona's change of behavior towards him...that is what I am really waiting to watch. How he responds to her aloofness which will in turn make him start questioning his own feelings which, he didnt even know, existed in him.

Loved ur analysis on Dev
I agree with all ur points
Everything was so attractive about him in this episode 😆

Cucumber throwing, cooking, hands on the hips etc 😆
He looked so so comfortable.

Loved how he lied to his mom.
I was shocked when he said traffic jam 😆
The fact that he lied to his mom about something so trivial shows that he wouldnt do all this just for his "employee"

I loved the whole episode.
We got to see the new side of Dev
He's a complex character with multiple shades and I cant wait to see how each of them unfold.

Sona will bring out the real Dev in him. The carefree Dev who won't be so boring 😆

Can't wait for the Dev realisation
It'll be a treat to watch and I trust the makers to do complete justice with it 😳

Lovely post 👏
