So this was just an OS I had penned months ago for another serial pair, and I thought why not here too! Here is a little different angle to Dev and Sona... Hope you all enjoy!

In The Flight
Today was the day, when Sonakshi, for the first time in her life, was travelling by a plane... And it was obvious she was freaking out. She was travelling to Dubai for fixing a deal, with her boss Mr.Dev Dixit.
Sonakshi lived in Mumbai all her life. She has never witnessed or experienced how the world outside her safe boundaries were.
Due to certain circumstances, like her father losing his job due to recession season, she was supposed to look for work. Due to her outstanding academic and extra curricular activities records, she was chosen as an intern for Ishwari Communications. This was a great thing, as well as a great challenge to her. Because coming from a conservative family, into this "big bad world", as her dad would say, she felt like a newly hatched bird, who was asked to fly.
Her experience so far in Ishwari Communications was just amazing! She was enjoying every bit of it. As usual, the little competitions and back biting that happens in every work place was there but she never bothered about all that. Her main aim was working hard, and achieving what she had to.
Mr.Dev Dixit, a successful, good looking business man, helpful by nature, had his own sense of humor, yet a little strict when it comes to work, was Sonakshi's boss!
When she had first gone to the office, and saw Dev, like every other girl, she too found him attractive. Successful, independent at such a young age was extremely hard to achieve in the competitive world. Good looks and Humor were his plus points, that attracted Sonakshi to him at first sight. She never realized when this feeling just got stronger and stronger.
Dev needed a few more interns in his company since there were still some vacancies, so he put up a newspaper ad, and got a lot of applications. He selected the ones who were the most suitable according to him.
But out of the lot, there was one girl.. One petite girl to be precise, who had caught his attention.
He had asked those girls to join the office from the very next day, and he PERSONALLY wanted to deal with them, for obvious reasons. And in the little time he had noticed every detail about the girl, Sonakshi, and she had stolen his heart completely due to her nature, simplicity, cuteness, smartness and her beauty of course.
Dev never realized when his mere attraction had turned into liking, and when the like had turned to love. He wanted to know her more, he wanted to spend time with her, and he wanted to tell her how he feels about her but he never got the chance.
Luckily, he had to travel to Dubai for fixing a deal to start a Company there. The client was his old mate, and he could deal with him single handedly, but he for no reason, dragged Sonakshi along with him.
Sonakshi and Dev were sitting in the Business Class section. And since this was Sonakshi's first time travelling by air, she was nervous.
Dev was having a lot of fun looking at Sonakshi. When the plane was about to take off, she was praying continuously, and even a little loudly that even he could hear. "O God, Please let me reach there safely.. You know I have a lot of dreams to fulfill na? I want to be successful like Dev,I like him also, I want to get married to him one day, have two children also, travel around the world, see how the world is like, build a house of my own, meet my favorite actor, learn how to cook, finish all levels on Candy Crush, finish Temple run 2..but if I die I won't be able to do all this na? Please God let me live please please please pl.." And suddenly she felt the plane to move a little faster on the runway and she literally was going to cry "Oh my God.. I'm going to die I'm going to die!!" And she held Dev's hand, who was sitting right next to her, as she had taken the window seat.
Dev was about to laugh out loud at her situation. He loved what she said about her liking him. He thought he would ask her right away but then he thought of calming her down, and then tease her a little later when she is quiet.
Dev slowly took her hand in his, and held it a little tighter, and he felt Sonakshi holding his hand with more power.
"Sonakshi.. I know this is your first time travelling.. But please keep your eyes closed ..". He knew what he had to say, and he did.
He knew that Sonakshi was always attracted to him. The way she behaved around him, during presentations and meetings, he caught her staring at him shamelessly many times, and he always had fun teasing her whenever she did that. He would wink and smirk at her, and she would go all red like a tomato. Oh how much he loved that!
But right now, Sonakshi didn't react much on his words, but hearing his soothing yet calm voice reduced the number of lines on her forehead.
The plane was now in the air with no turbulence, but Sonakshi chose to keep her eyes closed. Dev didn't leave her hand at all, and Sonakshi too.
"Sonakshi... You can open your eyes now.." Dev whispered. She still didn't open her eyes. "How will you see the world' if you don't open your eyes now?" He emphasized on the words "see the world" and her eyes snapped open. He couldn't control his giggle at all, but how he managed to do so was surprising to him as well.
Sonakshi did not believe that she was still holding his had, literally digging her nails in his palm, yet he said nothing.
Dev slowly closed his eyes and rest his head on the seat, still holding her hand. Suddenly he felt her hand go rigid, and she started to slowly take her hand out of his big one. He only tightened his grip on her hand, because he had no plans of letting her go this time without he conveying what he felt for her.
Sonakshi felt his hand get tighter, and without protesting, she let their hands be locked together. She knew it was wrong but her heart and mind just didn't seem to let her go of his hand.
Suddenly an air hostess appears and starts talking to Dev. Sonakshi felt dumb just sitting there and holding his hand, so out of awkwardness, she started to slowly slide her hand out of his when suddenly she heard the air hostess speak,"Mr. Dixit, is this your wife? She is very beautiful... You both make a great pair" she said giving a wide smile. Thank you Air Hostess for making everything awkward on higher levels!' And she inwardly swore at the lady. Dev who was having an amazing time took advantage of this situation.
As soon as the air hostess left, he turned to Sonakshi giving her his devilish smirk and said,"Sonakshi.. You heard what she said? We make a good pair" and winked at her. She let out a small gasp with her mouth in a perfect round. Sonakshi was beyond shocked. First of all he was holding her hand, secondly, he was flirting with her, and now he winked? What was happening with her! She had never seen this side of him before at all!
"And don't even think of taking your hand away... I like it where it is..and I know you do too" he finished. How does he know?!' Her inner thoughts screaming.
And like every other plane story, there has to be at least one kid who wants to cry their lungs out when they sit in the plane, and the same was happening now.
A baby could not shut his mouth.. And no one in the world hated small crying kids more than Sonakshi! Dev knew she was getting frustrated, as he could see though her actions. "I just hate crying babies.. They are SOOO annoying I cannot explain!" She said frustrated.
"But Sonakshi.. If you hate kids so much.. How will you bear your TWO kids?" He finished emphasizing on the word "two". She stared at him in disbelief.. How does he know this too!?' She was shocked. "Was I praying out loud again?" She meekly asked him and he nodded in a yes with his patent smirk. "So you heard EVERYTHING?" She narrowed her eyes towards him..."Yes I did". "I hate you very much Dev". The way she took his name melted him, this was the first time she took his name, and not called him "sir" and he loved it. "You just told me you like me, want to get married to me..and you hate me already?" He asked her raising his one eyebrow. "You heard that too... Nooo" she was whining now. "OMG how I hate myself for doing this! I'm so sorry sir, please don't mind all what I said".
"I loved what you said Sonakshi.. I really did. And I also loved it when you took my name, not call me sir'. I don't know whether this is the right moment to tell you this, but everything you say everything you do, just makes me to like you more and more, or even love Sonakshi. Your simplicity, attitude, nature, smile.. Everything just attracted me since the very first day.. It gradually developed into love, when and how, don't ask me. All I want to ask is.. Do you want to give us a chance? I'm ready to take everything very slowly just for you.." Dev said.. With honesty and sincerety pouring out of his mouth.
Sonakshi was shocked... But then she was touched hearing his words. She didn't know the feeling both shared was mutual. She had tears in her eyes since her first ever crush was asking her out. "What if I say no?" She asked him. He gave a small smile "Sonakshi.. Don't lie to me and to yourself... You know you want this too...and you said that in your prayer too" he giggled "So.. Yes or yes?" He asked her with confidence. She loved that about him. She nodded her head in a yes.
"Thank you so much Sonakshi" and he went closer to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She felt a wave of emotions through her and she bit her lower lip since all these feeling were new to her. He moved back and saw her biting her lower lip. "Sonakshi.. Don't do that.. We don't want to regret what we do that may happen due to your biting now do we?" He winked at her and she understood what he meant. The blush was coloring her cheeks once again and she quietly layed back on her seat holding his had even more tight while he rubbed his thumb over her palm. She was loving all of this that her flight fear had also vanished. These were one of the best 3 hours of her life she thought with a smile still on her face.
Love was in the air... Literally.
