Breaking News: It is over!!!!

' Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye', the ambitious serial, which was launched with much fanfare on Sahara in November 2006 is going off air within two months of its launch due to poor viewership ratings. As the programming head of Sahara, Kalyan Sunderam says, 'all the programmes on our channel are based on research, and within two months we have realized that this serial was not doing well with the audience. As it was not appreciated by the viewers from day one, we have decided to pull it off air rather than dragging it pointlessly.' The soap was slotted for the 10.30pm, which may not have been very good for it as the slot has Star's mega serial ' Kyun Ki ….' in the same slot, hence it could not catch the imagination of viewers. But even in the afternoon slot, which generally has a huge following, the soap failed to cut the ice with the viewers. However, on the question of incurring huge losses to producers, Sahara people assured that the loss would be shared by them too.

But I'd like to ask some questions to Sahara:

1. Who was involved in the research? Don't they visit this forum to gauge a show's popularity?😡

2. Are all serials to cater to a certain section of women who are only interested in slander and gossip and watching Saas-bahu serials? Don't other viewers matter at all?😡

3. Is 2 months an adequate time to judge a serial esp if it is pitted against a hugely popular serial like KSBKBT? And on top of it the channel was not even promoting the serial for the past month, at least in India.😡

4. What do we do now, loyal viewers who were hooked on to this serial? Sahara does not even have the decency to inform us about it.😡

5. If they were so ken to end it they should have given the producers some time to wrap it up properly. What are we supposed tp make of the contradictory signals being given: a precap as well as announcement of new show?

If it does not come on Monday...what do we do???? I cannot imagine....😭
