Star India's international sibling, 20th Century Fox, will make an afternoon soap for Star Plus in the coming months. While Star officials are tightlipped about the new show, sources say the story has been finalised and Chaitanya Chaudhary has been chosen to play the lead.

Chaitanya, however was not available for comment. The rest of the cast is still being worked out. The story is about a high-flier who visits a small town and falls in love with a local girl though he has a steady girlfriend back home. The channel is still to finalise the female lead.

Sources say the shoot of the untitled show on Star, will begin in the first week of Feb and this show is likely to go on air on Mar 5. Pahlaj Nihalani is the line producer.
