Mohan's character arc

One thing I have noticed, have you guys too? Mohan's story isn't active in the show it takes a back making the love story actual plot but the progression in Mohan's arc is actually there.

They made Krishna and Mohan came to mumbai, he learnt about pride parade he learnt for the first time that its ok to be that way. It's not a disease. If they didn't move the story to mumbai there was no way to show it with a progressive attitude where Krishna lived. Poor mohan has suffered enough there just because of regressive mentality.

Today while being drunk he could open up to Krishna about the what he saw in the parade. I am sure it wouldn't have been easier for him to do it in normal state. For the first time he said he is normal as he is not something extra like the mirror which probably reflects to his inner instics.

That dot connection is very smooth and nicely placed. They didn't waste drunk mohan just for the drama.

I hope with college track starting he gets more exposure to everything diya/pia can be a good friend also that courage he got from the parade can help him come out of the shell of his didi and take stand for him too.

I personally think the makers should focus on Mohan too. The main focus of the show is now Krishna and Aryaman's marriage. And honestly, the show isn't interesting anymore due to the boring marriage track. And they're going to concentrate on divorce track as well.

It's going fine for me except Ananya and Aryaman's mother. Both are characters are so annoying sid and srijla make better vamps.

I actually like them how they are handling Mohan's story.

They are not ignoring it nor are they doing it unnecessary fast. At first, I was little skeptical when Krishna did not have time accept before her marriage. But now I understand why. She needs to see other people like Mohan. She needs to have some other connection find out about these things.

being curious to meet them.

all these felt natural.

But it is important that they had to serve some other story as this topic was way too controversial...

I am low-key happy that they had non-toxic as the other story.

Only thing, I have a complaint against is the pacing is too slow these days. after Krishna and Aryaman marriage, there was way too much time dedicated to family mamala.

I hope by next week at least, our 3 main leads just get out of the house already.

The makers needed to take the love story center stage in order to attract viewers. The subject of LGBTQ is very sensitive and hard hitting topic ...the makers can't throw this directly on viewers. They have to somewhere dilute it with a love story and show it in a subtle manner instead of going bang on.I don't know if u have seen those tweets where some viewers have tweeted about boycotting the channel for bringing up the LGBTQ topic in KM. So,the makers had to trail this topic into viewer's mind very carefully and gradually and that's why they are highlighting the love story.

I also like Mohan's story pace. It's very gradual also it doesn't feel very triggering like initial episodes. They have smartly utilized it making the story arc passive while promoting only the love story. I feel it's working too. People are loving the chemistry so whe they tune it actual mohan's story can be seen.

I have same complaint they need to get done with this marriage now. With divorce there is actually a chance for good angst but Krishna is very abla right now.

I hope they don't take much time to make her strong.

Have you seen the no of phobes against that one scene? It's scary glad they are not actively promoting it as lgbtq+ story now. Rather they draw the promo like typical itv while keeping Mohan's arc very subtle.

Hope we continue to see progress.
