Actor commits suicide

Stress and depression seem to be reigning these days in all fields of
work. It has been said that the pressure and anxiety levels are highest in
glamour world where the need to prove oneself and scale greater heights
in a short span of time breaks many a soft heart. There are many cases of
suicide in the industry and the latest one is actor Kunal who had featured
in films like Kadhalar Dinam and Varushamellam Vasantham.

In Kadhalar Dinam, he has portrayed the role of a lover boy with earnest
appeal. It has been reported that this actor took this extreme step of
hanging himself to death in Mumbai this morning. The reason for his
suicide is alleged to be his dearth of offers in this industry but the police
are currently investigating the case.

Let us prays for Kunal's soul to rest in peace.

this news really shocked me! it hasn't even been 2 months into the new year & there have already been two deaths. heath ledger & kunal.😭😭 the acting field really demands a lot & gives back very little. it's sad that some actors lose the courage to live on & resort to suicide to get rid of their problems.😔

I am sure that he has parents and one whole load of
people who love him - It is painful to note that
an young life is wasted - and if the reason was
lack of offers, it is not worth a life!!!

Akka...he not only have parents..but he is married with two small kids..he never thought about his kids...

I've read before that a number of actors like Kunal, Abbas, Arya, Navdeep (Arindhum Ariyamalum) and even Shaam got their first chance in the Tamil movies after they shelled out substantial sums of money for their roles.

If this is the case, Kunal is not so poor financially. So, it shocks me that Kunal would commit suicide due to lack of offers coming his way. If the movie industry didn't click for him, he has/had the money and he could've tried other things. This is really sad! It's high time that adults learn that suicide is not the last resort. I mean what about his kids? Wow.. how do people so easily get away like that!

I've seen Heath Ledger in person just once and OMG.. he's such a cutie! What an adorable actor! A couple of nights ago, the Medical examiners confirmed that his was a case of accidental overdose of fatal combination of prescription medication. He seemed to have said in a recent interview that working on his character(s) in movies on and off the sets, has got him too anxious and sleep deprived. At least he didn't commit suicide.

While some actors get away with very shallow acting/skin show, one could say that Heath gave up his life for his profession!

How can one commit suicide simply because he was not getting offers form movies? I think there's soem otehr reason; they said he had been depressed for a few days-if he was depressed bcoz he didn't get any offers, he shud hv been depressed a long time ago, right?

someone please correct me but wasn't kunal living with his mistress at the time of his suicide? i think the sun tv reporter said kunal was having an affair with another woman because he had some problems with his wife.

honestly.. did he once not think of his 2 kids? i wonder what his wife & kids went through when he had that extra-martial affair & what they are going through now after his death.😔

suicide is such a stupid decision! only cowards who don't have the guts to face up to reality resort to such means to take their life.
