Kalai maamani award was more prestigeous award years back, when someone received that, the general public did convince themselves with their own judgement the people selected for the awards were well deserved it, but nowadays it seems lost its value and meaning. I don't want to point finger at anyone particularly that they don't deserve it, but on the other hand among the selected group, see veteran actress B.Saroja Devi amma, and the most talented drummer Sivamani, enna sollane theriyala!!, avangalaiyum mathavanga kooda serthu award kodukarathu avangalai perumai paduthum nu enaku thonalai!!!

In my understanding kalaimamani award is not for encouragement but for achievement.

its not only understanding akka .. its a well known fact that kalaimanai award is for ACHIEVEMENT. I was in total disappointed on the selection of awards this time. 😭😭😭 sadly .. i sense lot of influence has been used here and some foul play too ... years back as mention, this award did have meaning and value. But now 😭😭😭 sadly it has lost it!!! .... i came here to write so much .. but my anger and disappoinment ... i really don't know wat to write ...!!!
