The search for Koh-i-noor continues with a new twist in the tale. Where one character (Karan Saxena played by Amit Sadh) is planned to be killed, another one (Abbas Bhai to be played by Murli Sharma) is slated to make an entry next week.
In the coming episodes, Sadh's character will be killed. Sadh says, "I ended up working upto 18 hours a day. The leading characters used to take a lot of time in completing a shot. They have only Koh-i-noor to do. But I have Nach Baliye and other shows. I am kept waiting for my shot for long hours and that amounts to a waste of time. My dates are not being used to the fullest. So, there is no option left but to have my character killed. Also, there is no bank of episodes. We generally shoot one day prior to telecast. In fact, we launched without a bank."
On the other hand, Creative head of the show, Nikhat has a different story to narrate, "Amit's character was anyways to be killed. It was decided that way right from the beginning. But we postponed the track because we wanted to introduce Abbas Bhai's character with a bang. And what better way to introduce Abbas than with the death of Karan."
Talking about zeroing in on Sharma, Nikhat says, "He has a very interesting face. He suits negative characters and he plays them well. Also, he adds to his performance by innovating a lot."
"Sharma plays an underworld don Abbas Bhai who lives in Dubai and comes to India. From the look of his character, one will notice that he wears the latest clothes, probably imitating Shah Rukh Khan on that, but when he opens his mouth, one realises that he is a don, the one who has lived in a gutter,' she adds.
Sharma is highly excited about his role and says, "When I heard the concept, I liked it and said yes to it. I play a don who owns a cocaine business and has dance bars. I have just begun shooting. I am scheduled to make an entry next week."
