can anyone post the story ?

It's pretty basic Dev(SRK) a famous soccer play marries Reha (Preity) who is a fashion designer .. Dev gets hit by a car he can't play soccer any more he becomes all depressed because his wife is doing his job ..

Maya(rani) marries Rishi(Abhishek) and is unhappy. She doesn't think Rishi is the guy for her ..

Dev and Maya start meeting and things carry on from there

I had huge expectations from KANK before its release.Abhishek and Rani & Shahrukh and Preity were brilliant in Bunty aur Bubli & Veer-Zaara but KANK let me down.Karan failed to utilise their on-screen chemistry in a such big star-cast properly. The story was unethical and unlogical and boring. It was copied from Murder.Rani falling for Shahrukh when she had a loving husband Abhishekh, just for a relationship is totally baseless. Before going to a relationship with Shahrukh she should have given divorse to Abhishekh and similarly Shahrukh.Even though it happens in society or not it should not be highlighted. As it sends a wrong message to the viewers.

It is one of Karan's BEST BEST BEST BEST movie that i have no words to describe at all
cuz for the first time ever he has shown the other side of cinema, the best part and most of all Bold...and such a unique subject. He had those gutts to show this type of a movie.
this movie is the far best of his work...... it is one movie that is evergreen to me... and will always be. 😳 👏

I'm with Shailee kinda😛 I too had a lot of high expectations for KANK. And who wouldn't with an AMAZING starcast and a great director/producer like Karan Johar...were we too expect any less?? And I loved the comedy in the first half of the movie .. and I think I kinda liked it when I first saw it .. and then it hit me after a while .. I HATED IT ... it was such a bad movie.. . it could've been told better..A lot of the things were left uncleared ... yes adultry happens people cheat and so on but KANK was just weird nothing was properly explained. The story could've been told in a better way .. Karan could've cleared a bit of the confusion .. Karan isn't the first to make a film on extra-martial affairs but i dunno this movie was just bad

well i thought the story was pretty clear shahrukh jus married his childhood frend and rani married abhishek coz he luvd her and his dad and him helped her as she had no family but nun of the cuples were in love - shahrukh met rani and they fell in love simple

well, i could have imagined this movie only with one ending that Rani and Sharukh would not met at the end and when Arjun proposed preitthy , she would have agreed and yes Abhi's second mrriage is fine.
but the way it ended its unrealistic

So let's discuss how your expectations were met/or were not met.

No I expected alot from the movie and when I watced it I was shocked.

What about the music of the film?

I love the music of KANK, Love all the songs, lyrics are good, singers are good and I loved all the songs of KANK

Actors, characters, singers, designer clothes and everything related to the film

Everything was good or shall I say the BEST but what I only didn't like the STORY. A very good star cast and all big stars,👏 singers like Alka yagnik and Sonu Nigam,👏 a designer like Manish Malhotra.👏👏👏👏

BUT just story was dissaponting😭

I think the movie was excellent!! Karan handed the whole picture in a very sensitive manner as he always does! I agree the story line is not acceptable to a lot of people because it brings us face to face with a side of society which we would like to sweep under the carpet and not face up to! but unfortunately these things do happen and real people get hurt! All I can say is Bhagwan kare aaisa kisse ke saath kabhin nahin ho!

subject was deep, but was ineptly handled. i believe karan tried tooooo hard to try to project the emotional drama.
he tried too hard that the end result was just not empathetic enough.

anyways, karan is still hungover about his movie, which results in all of us still thinkin of kank so many times....i mean he ALWAYS brings it up in his kwk episodes...it's like "give it up already, stop being such a sore loser" 😆 well this lack of maturity did show itself in the movie

ah well, whatever, i reckon we also need to move on and stop discussing this movie. it's over. gone. discussed to death. hehehe
