The filmi trend of having extramarital affairs has spilled over to the boob tube as well. Actor Anuj Saxena, aka Abhay Kapoor from the soap Kkusum, will definitely vouch for it, albeit unofficially. The doctor-actor, having recently tied the knot with Delhi-based Ishmit, is involved in a strange relationship.
Apparently, he's having a fling with his on-screen daughter Kumud (Aashka Goradia). They are quite demonstrative about their affection towards each other on the sets of Kkusum. In fact, their kkahani is the hot topic of discussion at Balaji Telefilms. Sources reveal that they're often spotted getting cosy in their make-up van.
Interestingly, at Saxena's birthday party in July, Goradia was the only youngster from the cast to be invited, but she didn't show up, evidently to avert attention. "Their so-called friendship began around six months ago. You're bound to develop feelings for someone you're constantly working with," confides a friend.
Saxena (who will soon make his filmi debut with Sameer Malkan's Lips) admits to being "pretty close" to Goradia, but adds that's where the matter ends. "Even my wife is coming to terms with this, as flings and link-ups are a part of the glamour industry." Wonder if the inspiration for his affair stemmed from the plot of Kkusum itself!
