Anuj, Sweta & Nausheen's noble gesture
On the birth anniversary of Chacha Nehru 14 November, the Coordination Committee for Vulnerable Children (CCVC)- a representative network of over 43 NGOs from across the city of Mumbai and its adjoining suburbs, organized 'Chacha Ka Mela' for underprivileged children. An annual event, the mela is held celebrates the day with construction workers' children, street children, commercial sex workers' children, slum dwellers' children and the likes.

This year, from the television world, Anuj Saxena (Abhay of Kkusum), Nausheen Ali sardar ( Kusum of Kkusum) and Sweta Keswani (Annu of Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand) visited the children and spent some quality time with them. And when they got into their cars in the end, children were running behind their vehicles! Another instance proving that television is nearly as big as films in current times.

Ekta's new mantra: Reincarnation!
Psst... Ramola Sikand (Sudha Chandran) is gearing up to be the most wicked creature on television ever. My sleuths inform me that she will soon kill everybody on Kaahin Kissii Roz. Yes, every single character. And then, in an high emotion drama Shaina (Mouli Ganguly) and Kunal (Yash Tonk) will be born again to take a revenge.

With the fast forward trick doing so well for Balaji show, wonder whether the reincarnation bit will . Latest, KKR has been granted an 18-month extension! Gulp!

To each his own?
Will the cricketer-turned-actor Salil Ankola thank his stars that he landed up the role of Vikraal Aur Gabraal? Guess he can if he wants to especially since he has been out of work post Josh....

But here's a juicy bit. Guess who rejected it before Salil grabbed it with both hands. The latest hunk of small screen- Rajeev Khandelwal! Is he thanking his stars? May be. Especially since he would have lost the cream while hunting for crumbs. The hot-n-happening guy just dithered from doing an inconsequential (and atrocious?) portrayal. Sigh!

Paying for his brother's problems
On the eve of his telly debut in Chausath Panne's next story Aandhi, Faisal Khan tells me that being Aamir Khan's brother has more disadvantages than advantages. "Like if Aamir is not on good terms with Ram Gopal Varma or Yash Chopra, there is bound to be an anti-lobby working against me."

We all know that Ramu and Yash have taken potshots at Aamir in print. Ramu has given interviews suggesting that Aamir got a little too much 'bhaav' for the success of Rangeela. And Yash wounds have still not healed because Aamir Khan rejected his Darr, which eventually went to Shah Rukh Khan.

Manish's confusion pays him dear
Poor Manish Goel. Think of it he would have jumpstarted a career on the big screen by now with the recent release Dhoop! Blame it on the makers of Bhabhi and Saara Akaash. Incidentally both were of the same opinion that he should leave their serial if he wanted to go and do a film. Would not have been a bad decision if Manish had let his heart win over his head.

What was Goels loss was Sanjay Suri's gain. He plays an army martyr opposite Gul Panag (sigh!). Today, Dhoop is winning rave reviews all over.

Sujal-Piyush war continues...
Soon, something very exciting is coming up in Balaji's late-night Kahiin To Hoga. Sujal (Rajeev Khandelwal) is going to follow Piyush (Rohit Bakshi) and Kashish (Aamna Sharif) on their
honeymoon! Once there, he is going to coax Piyush into a horse-race. Driving away in a frenzy, Piyush races away towards the winning post. Not finding Sujal anywhere in vicinity, he comes back to his wife. And what does he find! Sujal spending some quiet moments with her! Apparently, Sujal had turned the animal around after covering a short distance. Filmi, very filmi...

That's all for this week. The excitement is getting the better of
me. The stage has been set, the cake has been baked
