Hi, This is Khaja Misbahuddin updating Kkusum for 18th Oct, 2004
The party has started at Aryaman's house, and the guests are pouring in. Aryaman's Mom asks him as to where is Ksh*tij. He finds Ksh*tij at the door, and asks him if he is waiting for someone. Ksh*tij tells him that he was just welcoming the guests. He asks Ksh*tij to come inside, and he goes inside with Aryaman.
Sarala and Kumud are sitting in the hall. Abhay comes there. Sarala tells Kumud that Abhay has come, and she goes to call Kkusum. Abhay sits besides Kumud. He tells her that when one gets a thing which was one' favourite, and which had been lost, then one feels so happy. Kumud asks him about what is he talking. He tells her that he was referring to her smile. He asks her to keep smiling, and tells her that he is happy that she has chosen the path of life once again. Kumud tells him that she is scared of smiling, and also scared of life. Abhay asks her to foget what has transpired in the past 'coz no one can change it now, and also no one can change the future, and so he tells her that the only thing they have under their control is their present, and she should treat it as a gift. He tells her that if they can't change the time, then they should be ready to change with time. He tells her that life is a gift, and asks her to enjoy it. Kumud smiles.
Sarala enters Kkusum's room, and asks her as to where she is. Kkusum replies back from the bathroom. Sarala takes out Kkusum's medicine from the drawer, and puts it on the table besides a glass of water. She asks Kkusum to tak her medicine and come downstairs 'coz all are waiting for her. Sarala leaves.
Just then, someone enters Kkusum's room, and mixes something in the water placed near Kkusum's medicine. And he goes away. Kkusum comes out of the bathroom, remembers that she had to take the medicines. She goes to the table, takes the medicine and drinks the water.
Kali and Garv come to the party. Garv tells Kali that he will not come inside 'coz there will be everyone and he doesn't want to….Kali tells him that she will not take that and asks him as to why does he not state clearly that he feels shame in going with her. Kali asks him as to why did he agree to marry him. She tells him that she doesn't want his sympathy, and tells him that she wants his support all her life with his agreement. She tells him that she hopes to live with him such that his respect is her respect, and his decisions are her decisions. Kali tells him that if he agreed to marry her 'coz of the fear that she might try to commit suicide again, then she doesn't want that. Kali tells him that if it is so, then she too will not go into the party. Kali opens the door of the car and is about to sit in the car when Aryaman's mom comes there. She tells them that she was waiting for them. She asks Garv as to why did Kumud not come with him. She asks them to come inside. Kali goes inside with her. Garv thinks for a while, and follows them inside.
Kali and Garv enter the party. Aryaman asks Ksh*tij as to who invited them. Kali comes there and wishes Aryaman, and shakes hands with him. Garv wishes Aryaman but he turns his face away. Kali tells him that he might not have invited them, but they have not come uninvited. She tells him that his Mom has invited them. Aryaman and Ksh*tij are shocked.
Kkusum is getting down the stairs. Abhay, Kumud and Sarala are looking towards her. ( I must admit that Abhay had a strange expression on his face ). She almost gets down the stairs, and holds her head and is about to faint. Abhay rushes to her and holds her. Abhay falls down on the floor with Kkusu on top of him.
Kkusum wakes up and tells Abhay that she is fine, and asks him to go to the Aryaman's party with Kumud. She tells him that shew ill come to the party later with Sarala. But Abhay tells her that he will not go. Kkusum insists, but Kumud tells her that they are not going to go anywhere leaving her. Kumud makes Kkusum get up with the support of others, and takes her to a room upstairs.
Sarala is also about to go but turns back and sees Abhay. Abhay has his back to Sarala and wipes a tear from his eyes. She tells him to go to the party 'coz Aryaman is his friend and he will feel good if he will go there early. But Abhay tells her that he can't go leaving Kkusum in that condition. Sarala insists but Abhay is adamant. Sarala realizes that Abhay is sobbing, and asks him what the matter is. He tells her that he can't bear anymore. He tells her that she knows he married only 'coz of Kali and that he always loved Kkusum. He tells her that Kkusum used to face all the problems with confidence, and he is not able to see Kkusum in this condition. Abhay tells her that Kkusum thinks that he is her hsband even today. He tells her that when Kkusum touches him, and hugs him, he can't even touch her 'coz they don't have a relation now. Sarala asks him that if he looses hope, then who would support Kkusum. She tells him that he has to consider Kkusum's happiness now, and he should go to the party 'coz otherwise Kkusum will feel that he missed out 'coz of her and she will feel bad. Abhay agrees.
Kali is in the party. Aryaman's Mom goes to her and congratulates her on getting back her love. She tells her that whoever loves whom, he gets back them. She asks Kali as to where is Garv, and tells her that she wants to congratulate him.
Garv goes to Aryaman. But seeing him, Arayaman walks away.
Kali comes to Garv. Garv tells her that he is going outside. He turns and comes face to face with Abhay and Kumud. They are shocked to see each other. Abhay just walks away seeing Kali with Garv. Kumud stands there. Ksh*tij comes there, and takes Kumud inside. Garv goes outside the hall, and Kali follows him.
Kali asks Garv to stop, and asks him if he gave up already. She tells him that they are not wrong, but others think that they are wrong. She tells him that even if they bow infront of others, they will think that Kali and Garv are ashamed of themselves. She tells him that till now, they have been acting according to other's wishes, and so they can't stand to see them acting differently. She tells him that she is proud of her relation with him, and tells him that maybe he has not got enough confidence. Garv thinks a bit, and goes inside.
Abhay meets Aryaman, hugs him, and wishes him. Aryaman asks him about Kkusum. He tells Aryaman that her health is not good, and that he is going back home. Aryaman insists for him to stay some more time, but he tells Aryaman that he can't leave Kkusum even for a second 'coz of the condition she is in. Abhay is about to leave, and sees towards Kumud who is standing alone. He looks towards Garv with anger, and then towards Kali and then leaves.
Kali follows him down the stairs, and asks him to put him in her place, and then he will realize that she is not wrong. Abhay tells her that she is not wrong, and tells her that he was wrong 'coz he never forced her decisions on her like a father would do, but his mistake was that he gave her the liberty to take her own decisions. He tells her that she never took a right decision in her life. He tells her that she can't even differentiate between achieving by force and getting someone. He tells her that she is trying to spoil her sister's life. Kali tells him that Kumud is not her sister, but Abhay tells her that it is a fact that Kumud is her sister and it won't change. She tells him that she never tried to take away Garv from Kumud 'coz he was always hers. Abhay tells her that it is her madness and he wont let her spoil Kumud's life. Abhay leaves.
Kkusum is sitting on the bed in Sarala's room. Sarala tells her that if she is not feeling well, then they can drop the idea of going to the party. Kkusum agrees, and tells her that they have been in tension 'coz of her. Sarala tells Kkusum that she is her daughter, and they are worried about her naturally. Sarala tells Kkusum to wait, and tells her that she will get a glass of water for her. She leaves. Kkusum gets up, walks over to the drawer, and takes out something wrapped in a red cover. Kkusum opens the cover to see Mahi's photo covered with garland. Kkusum is shocked. She thinks as to why is Mahi's photo in Sarala's room and why is it garlanded. Kkusum thinks as to what is happening there.
