Kavya to die on Anjali's B'day!

True to the tradition at Balajee Telefilms of not informing the actor about his or character's death until the thirteenth hour, Eijaz Khan has still not been told when his character Kavya will kick the bucket in Star Plus' Kavyanjali.

"Not that I'm thinking about it. I'm just enjoying the shoot while it lasts. I remember my disappointment when I was out of Kahiin To Hoga and the other serials that I did earlier for Balajee. It's best not to think about it.

Like it or not a bonding grows with the unit. I'm already missing the Kavya team. But then change and movement are inevitable, especially in a long-running soap," declares Eijaz Khan.

There's news for Eijaz. His character will be out on April 14. Confirming this, Balajee's head honcho Ekta Kapoor says, "Yes, I think Kavya will die on 14 April. This happens to be 'Anjali' Anita's birthday. …just an uncanny coincidence."

How will the TRPs be affected by Eijaaz's exuent? Will his death have the same sledgehammer effect on viewers as 'Mihir' Amarr Upadhyay's death on Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi?

Ekta laughs off the comparison. "It's a very dramatic death for Kavya—I can tell you that. To imagine Kavyanjali without Kavya is tough. But we've a bloody good story ahead."
