Vishnu Pitamber Shastri (Hemant Jha) is well known astrologer leaving with his wife Jasumati (Manisha Mehta) in baroda . He has stopped predicting the prophecies .one day , his childhood friend Labhu comes. Labhu (Rajesh Soni) is going to pilgrimage and is worried about his daughter sonaki (Ami Trivedi), who is physically grown up but mentally remained a child. Vishnu assures labhu that he will take care of sonki. Jasumati forces Vishnu to have alook at sonki's kundali and Vishnu predicts that soon there is going to be a massive change in sonki's life.

That's when vishnu's son , Rohan (Dharmesh Vyas) returns from UK with his girlfriend, Priya (Dimple Shah). Rohan is in love with priya and they are planning to get married soon. But Vishnu warns priya not to marry rohan , because , Vishnu predicts that rohan's first wife will die while delivering their child. rohan is taken aback and refuse to bow before the prediction.. but even he knows that vishnushas

Story of an ambitious woman who realizes that her quest is not for power or money, but for love and affection….

Nandini, the only daughter of Tarun Nanavati, the biggest saree tycoon in the town, has married to Shekhar, an aspiring writer. Tarunbhai is extremely unhappy about it, even after two years of this marriage. And recently Nandini has also started feeling the crunch. She is finding it difficult to adjust with the middle-class lifestyle.

On the wedding anniversary, she returns to her father's house, angry and anguished. Tarunbhai cannot take it anymore and forces Shekhar to stay with them as Gharjamai, Shekhar accepts the decision only because he cannot stay without his daughter Priya, life starts on a different note for Shekhar and Nandini. Shekhar keeps trying his lick at the literary circles and Nandini joins Tarunbhai's business and soon takes it to the big heights.

The couple who was madly in love with each other, just a few months back.

Suddenly find no time for each other, especially Nandini, as she is too busy in her work. Shekhar is finding it really humiliating to stay in Tarunbhai's house, as Tarunbhai never leaves an opportunity to taunt him for not making big money.

And one day, on the auspicious day of diwaso, when wives keep a fast fro their beloved husbands, Shekhar receives good news. A publisher from Delhi wants to publish his first book. In an ecstatic state of mind he rushes to a nearby saree shop to buy a saree fro Nandini.. but to his surprise Nandini gets angry when she receives this gift, she feels humiliated because Shekhar has bought the saree from the rival shop and by the means of cheque discounting, she throws the saree and insults Shekhar, accusing him for being short sighted and a loser. Shekhar cannot take it anymore and he leaves the house.

Twenty years pass by..

Shekhar never returns..

Nandini makes it a point to erase all the memories of Shekhar..

Priya is grown up now.. And she is in love with Rahul.. Nandini, by now known as the businesswoman of the Asia, understands about it and interviews Rahul. Rahul manages to impress her and Nandini asks Priya whether she wants to marry him. Priya cannot say no. Nandini grants the permission fro the marriage but putting the same condition, which Tarunbhai kept for Shekhar long time ago.. She wants Rahul to stay in her house as a Gharjamai. Rahul accepts the offer whole heatedly. Because he has other intentions as well.

Rahul turns out to be an orphan who was raised by Shekhar. He has seen Shekhar nursing the bruises of humiliation for whole of his life. Rahul hates Nandini for whatever she has done to Shekhar and he is here to take the revenge. He is here to crush the ego of Nadine. He wants Nandini to pay the price for her deeds in the past.

But things don't go according to his plans as he soon realizes that the way Shekhar loves Nandini, even Nandini also loves Shekhar, the only thing is, her ego is not allowing her to express her true feelings. Rahul changes his mission, now he wants to bring these two loves together forever…he knows, it is the most difficult thing to achieve. But he believes in the power of love… and how he succeeds with his unique plan is the beauty of SHODH PRATISHODH.

Well......guys,if you are bored of watching all the serials of EKTA KAPOOR ,whose thinking and imagination......is only limited to SAAS-BAHU,DEVAR-BHABHI and other sugar coated characters ......then you surely have a better option,to watch on your TV, NAAM GUM JAYEGA .I'ld certainly not say that it is an extraordnary serial or a must watch.......but


it is just that the serial offers you something new,and the people behind the serial have thought in a differant direction.That is what is good to see.NAAM GUM JAYEGA is a family drama,set against the HINDU-MUSLIM background.

The story revolves around the two main protagonists PRIYANKA(GAURI PRADHAN) and ZEENAT KAZI(SHILPA KADAM) who were born on the same day.....but were accidentaly switched.So the girl,who is born a Hindu grows up beleiving that she is a Muslim(i.e.SHILPA KADAM).....and the girl who is born a Muslim......is brought up in a hindu family(i.e. GAURI PRADHAN).Priyanka's parents get to know this reality later through a doctor......but never tell her,that she is a muslim,same happens with Zeenat's parents.In the meantime Priyanka and Zeenat become great friends......but are unaware of each others true identity.Priyanka is getting married to Aryan(,Tarun khanna) ......and that is where a netaji,who has a grudge on Priyanka's father(i.e. KAWALJEET )reveals that PRIYANKA is a muslim,and vice-versa.......and both the girls are shocked by the whole drama and reality.And in turn Priyanka's marriage is broken.......now i have to watch the next episodes.

The direction by SACHIN KAMLAKAR ......is pretty neat,though some of the scenes are not handled as intelligently as they should be.So they fail to leave that impact.Since this serial is on a sensitive topic......the scenes should have more depth,there are some effective scene........but i think with such a good storyline and concept the director can do a far better job.

The cast compromises of some good talents....... KAWALJEET is very good as PRIYANKA'S father, BENJAMIN GILANI as Zeenat's father is equally impressive,NANDITA PURI who is cast as Zeenat's mother looks very nice and acts well too........now to the main actresses, GAURI PRADHAN(of Kutumb fame) is a very talented actress,and she has a difficult role to perform and she does a fine job out of it.Needless to say she looks pretty. SHILPA KADAM(of sanjivini fame) has improved her acting.......she is doing justice to the role given to her.The men in their life SHYAM SHROFF (Adil)and ,Tarun khanna(Aryan)have a small role......but Adil is cool and very cute,but Aryan needs to take a crash course in acting.The only person's acting i hate is the man who is playing the wicked netaji.......he irritates me like hell.The rest of the cast is pretty okay.

On the whole with some nice dialouges,good acting and thought provoking scenes.......NAAM GUM JAYEGA is a good serial to watch.......you can certainly give it a try,coz even if you don't find it entertaining you'll pleased to see someone atleast having attempted something different........than the same old saga of SAAS-BAHU .

Aye Watan
Puneet Issar has been signed to play the role of Uddham Singh in producer Ved Gandhi's and Ram Rakhi Movies' Aye Watan, being directed by Tarun Wadhwa. The film is already 95 per cent complete and has Tarun Khanna, Samrat Mukherjee, Saadhika, Vaibhav, Govind Namdeo, Prachi Shah, Gaurav Ghai and Sameep Kang in the cast. Story by Abhijeet Chatwari, action by Mohan Baggad, music by Jaidev Kumar and cinematography by H Laxminarayan are the other credits.
