see....ek kaam karo....stusy for sometime....complete all ur works...dad se jaake kaho i did my works...and tell him i wil go ol fr sometym...hogayi baath....after u come frm school...study quickly till 9 or so...come to adda at 9..or so and spend an hour...dad bhi khush aur tum bhi...😃

Today's episode was a cruel combination of filler and heartbreak. I oscillated from disinterest to acute pain. Crazy episode with moments of brilliance.

Jab Bhagwaan Bhi Saat Chhod Dein.
(When even God Abandons You.)

She hid her Om, her soul, her jaan, away from everyone's view behind ornate decorations. And yet it escaped her possession. Be it her God or Arjun, Arohi has left behind her last support. Her God has chosen to stay with Arjun instead. Very symbolic - the full impact of which will be seen a little later.

Incidently, I don't believe that this is the much anticipated Om Pal. That is yet to come. Still, knowingly or unknowingly Arohi has transferred her protection to Arjun. There is more. 'Wait and watch'. 😉


With Clenched Fist.

As much as I have difficulty watching what Arohi is doing to Arjun, I could not bear to see her tortured either. Heartwrenching.

It was the subtlest of performances watching Arohi transform each time Arjun's head was turned away from her. The pain was clear in her eyes, and then retreated at the first signs of discovery. Such was the performance.

Through clenched fists Arohi withstood melting under Arjun's touch, watched him accused and beaten, and had him sent away to a place where he could not harm himself as she continued on her mission. All that stood between her and total breakdown were those clenched fists.

But even this feeble support collapsed, when Arohi witnessed HP beating up Arjun. She tried desperately to hold herself together. Near impossible. She was crumbling fast. And her face betrayed her conflict. Pretending to be indifferent to Arjun. Whimpering to run out and stop HP's slapfest. Relief that Arjun's suicide attempt was foiled. It was all written on her face. Arohi had completely broken just moments earlier, but HP's arrival bought her those precious seconds she needed to regain control. It was that process of recomposure that we witnessed in Arohi's expressions. [Kritika ... such a nuanced performance from such a junior artist? Incredible.]

Ek Dil ke liye Duniya.

You wanted it. You begged for it. You got it. This is Arohi's Ek Dil ke liye Duniya moment. I know nothing else but of this I am sure. She has given it. All that remains to be seen are the details. And that, my friends, is the rest of the story.

Why is today's writeup Arohi-centric? Not sure actually, as I found Arjun's actions and performance beyond measure, above par, phenomenal. Still, Arjun has the sympathies of all. It took a little soul searching for me to stand beside Arohi and see her in all of her glory. Challenging, but not impossible. 😊


More thoughts.

1. Sur-Abhay's telephone conversation: na tumhari ghhodi vaapas jaa sakti hai, na baaraat, na hi baaraati. yeh last time jab tum itni baatein kareyho. kyunke aaj ke baad to sirf main boloongi, aur tum sunoge. filler or prediction? Is Abhay about to die? In place of KS in the same mandap? And Shabbir is Abhay's cousin-brother. That would be just fantastic...NOT. Very lukewarm story.

2. Theory: What if Rohi wants to kill herself, or thinks she is dying but knows it will kill Arjun so jaate jaate she is distancing herself from Arjun's life, so he can live without thoughts of her. On second thought, lame theory. Nix it. [How many theories I have, my God...gotta stop already!]

3. Arjun looking into Arohi's eyes: 'Mar jaoonga Arohi' - the look in Arohi's eyes pierced right through my heart. Her eyes were weeping. It was just that painful!

4. There is always a third option. And Arjun found it. Suicide. That was such an intense moment yaaron. The pagalpan in his eyes was well... nuts! 😆

Also, watch the transformation in Rohi's eyes as it slowly dawns on her that Arjun is about to kill himself. [KK-squared are really something else. As is the one who gets these expressions out of them... are u listening Director-saheb? Hats off to you!]

7. Kaise baap ho tum? [Great question.] Professor Hari Prasad Sharma... What an amazing screaming session of Arjun's. Dancing between begging, scolding, apologizing, condemning. Wow. Just wow.

6. Karan Kundra was losing his voice near the end. It was getting hoarse. Just added to his brilliant performance. Chillaa chillaa ke awaaz chali gayi but Arohi doesn't budge. Tragic.

8. Final nail in his coffin (after attempted murder on KS). Attempted murder on Arohi Sharma. To be hanged until death. No matter who really did it. Or why. She is trying to protect Arjun (from killing himself) but she will regret the part she plays in sending Arjun on the gallows. Purvi was right. She will always remember this decision.

9. Is it just me or is Arohi wearing BadiMa's kangan? Just looked back a few episodes and yes, it is definitely the same bangles. However, it may just be a case of reuse and recycle. [BTW, what is the significance of Karan's mom's kangan? Can't figure it out.]
