Ektaji, I am here waiting with my resume in hand - willling n' able to help BT in this time of crisis even if it means facing the sweltering heat of Bombay n' leaving my parents' basement😳😳 - Har ladki ek din sasural to jahna parta hai na.😛
What is it about KMH that barso baad meri under ki sohi hui literature student ko jagaihi hai? The CHARACTERS: Their freshness and potential unprobed depths. Even the villains of this show are complex n' confounding. I not only want to know Arohi and Arjun's story, but their story. I wonder why does Paddy, the society princess, have so many kids (c'mon is Mohan that good in bed)? Why do Mohan n' DK trust each other when they know each other? Why does Natasha like Apples and her bhaiya Arjun (when he's so mean to her) - kahi to is ladki ka screw dilla hai ki woh usse chaati hai jo usse apne behen manti hai. DK - where do I even begin with this man - Anu's attraction is apparently physical level (usko buddha mil gaya😃). DK fascinates me on an intellectual level - his love for Arjun, his ego, his lack of scruples, his love-hate relationship with Savita (he clearly still loves her, but his ego keeps getting in the way). Savita/Badimaa - where do I even begin with her? I have so many unanswered questions about this woman, about her relationship with DK, Arjun and Arohi. What compells a woman to leave a man, who loves her and whom she loves as well? What compells a woman to leave her child with a man, whom she knows is going to teach her son the wrong things? The career explanation she gave Arjun is too simple n' entirely bakwas (n' the Taj Mahal is on sale!). KS - I reiterate i like his zest n' intellect. I ponder does he have scruples? What are his secrets and what are his limits? Are there lines he won't cross? Or is everything fair in love, war n' life for him?
They are all puzzles I want to explore, but some other night. Tonight I want to explore someone very special n' near and dear to all our hearts. No. Not Arohi - don't worry I will return to her before I am done - kya karey- aadat si hogayi hai😳. Nupurji, u will love me😃 - My topic today is ARJUN - Which ARJUN? - Arjun, the lost child.
Arjun - the broken boy
This aspect of his character hits me right in the gut. I too am my father's child. N' for over a decade I hated my mother. Until one day in University, I decided that I could not carry the burden of that intense hate anymore. Love can be effortless, but hate requires cultivation n' effort.
Arjun as a character is truly his mother's son and not DK's spawn (just his pawn until DK hurts Arohi). As a boy he loved his mom. We all have a favorite parent as children and his was his mom. All his childhood memories of his mom are happy ones to the point she abruptly leaves. Arjun loves his dad passionately - partly probably because he's scared that DK will also leave him. Time and again he has wondered why she did so. Is he that unlovable? Was it his fault? Are all women heartless like her? So, he grows to hate her n' women becuz all he sees is DK's pain and anguish. His 'i am the least bothered' when he contronts her tells us he is bothered very bothered. His inner child bars Arjun, the adult, from recognizing that there might another side to this parents' story. But, the fact that he does finally ask his mom "Why?" indicates that his relationship with Aro is gradually giving him the strenght to explore whether there is another side to his parents' story. Unfortunately, Savita stupidly does not take advantage of this opporunity to tell him the truth (whatever it is). She instead tells him that her n' DK's roads were different n' that she didn't want to sit at home with children. Probably because she does not want to take away from him the only parent he does have or on a similar vain take away from DK the only support he has. [More cynically because the creatives want us to keep us in the dark awhile longer.] His current fascination with Arohi's Badimaa signals further loosening up on his views regarding women. I think for Arjun the ultimate transition from child to Man will come when he learns and accepts the truth about his parents. That being said - he will no doubt suffer a setback when he learns Badimaa = maa. THE PARADE MUSIC ON THE MOTHER-SON NON-REUNION TODAY-🤣🤣. The creatives deserve a danda OR some anda for that score - seriously what the #$%#. Danda - reminds me AROHI - of course I haven't forgotten😃 I know u all were hoping I had.
Arohi - the heroine u all love to hate n' i love to explain
Ms. Sharma tonight stands charged with ignoring Arjun's phone calls. It is also alleged that she did not touch or rather hug him while he was sharing sad childhood memories.
Usse maaf bhi kar do yaar - when I don't go to my office, I don't call my boss either. I call our HR person n' my assistant. Maybe they have a similar protocol at P & M. But, that's not the real muddha is it? It's why does she not answer his phone immediately like a proper GF. Becuz she is still hiding their relationship from her chhippko sisters whom she is out shopping with. You all heard the words "Yeh Arjun Sir bhina bohut restless ho jatey hey" But, did u see her half smile😊 after she said it? That little smile says she cares n' is happy he's calling. Also, she tries to text him that she can't talk, but gets caught by her sisters. So, forgive her just a little😃 at least. Did you see her sharmaying😳 when Badimaa gave her chocolates for Arjun? How about Her sweet smile 😊 when she finally hears his voice? N' her smile😳 when he wants to come to Nathuram n' Sons to meet Badimaa. Her smile😊 and the biting of her lips when he asks if she's missing him. Her slight😳 blushing and her slight smile 😊 when she say "Ha. Jabwab hey ha". Her restlessness that it was 15 mins and he wasn't there. Did you see her huge yet shy smile😃 when he say "Ha, Par [Shabina Khan] tumari saamne kuch bhi nahi"? How excited she is to give him Badimaa's chocolates? How her face becomes all serious n' sad as he starts comparing his mom n' Badimaa? Why doesn't she hug him then? YOU PPLE R SO SILLY There is whole table btwn them😆😆. Also its a public place n' she is a simple indian girl. Usko bhi 500 people ka experience nahi hai. Jokes Apart, what she could have done is held his hand. However, from my limited experience with men (I don't have 500 pple experience either u see 😳) - when they get emotional - its better just to let them talk uninterrupted. Otherwise they get defensive n' fast like little porcupines. I am sure Arjun appreciates Arohi's smiles and her listening skills even if we sometimes don't.
So, in closing I respectully submit that My Lady speaks not through words or her eyes, but through her smiles and silences. 😃
Random Rant
- "S" Problem: I loved Arjun's attempt at aversion therapy with the non-smile, semi-smile, and smile. He's clearly aware of the problem and trying to get her to change her bad habit. But, old habits die haard - she called him "S" again.😃 He just has to remain focused and be as stuborn as his love. We surely appreciate his efforts.👍🏼
- The falling rose petals in the foregroound of the cafe scene - What the $!%&$# - I am stumped!!!
