" Hey what are doing?"asked Arjun.

" Painting "

" That I can see. I mean what are you painting."

" Trying to draw a perfect flawless portrait with perfection."see said blankly.

" Okay... Waise I must say you are really a good painter."

" I don't think. I need a little perfection."

" Why are you so obsessed with this word."

Hearing this her face fell down.

" Arohi what's the problem. I know something is troubling you very much. Pls tell me."he said coming in front of her.

" It's nothing yaar. You are reading too much."[B]shrugged Arohi.
He took her hand and made her sit on the chair and he himself bend down on his both knees so that he can be at her level. She was looking at the ground.

[B]" Hey look at me"he said.
She lifted her eye lashes to look into his brown pool which was giving her the assurance that he is there for her whatever be the situation. Same assurance which she want from Vansh but never got.

" Look life Mein kuch aisi chezay hoti hai jise ham Kisi se share nahi karna chahtay kyunki Hume lagta hai Ki way judgementally behave karenge. Par Kuch aisi chezay bhi hoti hai jinse ham agar chahein bhi to akele nahi lad sakte. So pls bolo what's the matter." he assured her.

She looked at as dumbfounded. How easily he had understood her in just 2 days.

" You know I fell in love with him at the age of 15. First I thought it was just teenage crush. But with time it grew. I started finding reason to spend some time with him. That's why I studied hard to get admission in Harvard because he was also planning to apply there. You know I didn't touch paint brush for 3 YEARS so that I can give my non-diverted attention to studies. I left my country, my family, My friends just to be with him. "

She was not able to speak properly due to lump in her throat. Her voice cracked because she was holding her tears. He pressed her hand to assure her. She could not control herself further and her tears escaped her eyes and fell into his hand. She wiped her tears and continued.

" May be for him leaving these things are small things but mere liye meri duniya hai ye chezay. I know I might sound like emotional fool but yehi sach hai. Mujhe pata tha Ki wo mujhse kabhie pyaar nahi karega. I am not his type. Phir bhi mujhe us se pyaar Ho Gaya. Pyaar aapke kabu Mein nahi hota, Pyaar ye nahi dekhta Ki woh insaan kaisa hai, wo person aapki feelings ko reciprocate karega bhi Ki, Pyaar kuch nahi dekhta wo to bas Ho jaata hai. Aur mujhe bhi Ho gya."[\B]she said looking at him and smiling faintly with crying face.

He looked at her. He can see her pain. He wanted to ease her pain.

[B]" Then why are you..."

" marrying him"cut Arohi
" Because I love him. And it's good for both the families and him."

" Did you told him about your feelings."

" No. I don't want him to feel bad for me." Her eyes was filled with tears.

" This is not the way Arohi. You need to tell me."

" Believe me I will. When I will become deserving for him... Waise bhi it's an arrange marriage with a twist you can say."said Arohi getting up and moving towards the balcony of her room.

" What the crap Arohi. Why and what is that deserving bullshit."said Arjun following her.

" That's not bullshit. That's is the biggest truth of my life. I am not perfect for him."she said with plain face turning her head towards him. But he could easily read the great pain beyond that plain face.

" Arohi it's not like that. Why you think so. If you want I will try to talk to Vansh. I know it's your personal matter but.. "he said softly coming beside her and putting his one palm on her hand which was holding the railing of the balcony.

" Stop"cut Arohi removing her hand and turning around.

" Arohi listen to me. You are..."

" I said STOP. Band karo mujh par taras khana. I don't want anyone's sympathy neither yours nor his. Aur kya baat karoge tum us se , Ki bechari Arohi pagal hai tumhare pyar Mein. Tum us se pyar karlo. I don't want his love. Because I know that pyar karwaya nahi jaata. Haan main nahi hoon sophisticated that does mean that I don't know about culture or fashion. Mujhe uske expensive gifts ya flowers nahi chahiye, bas uska thoda Sa attention or time chahiye. " she shouted on him.

She was frustrated. And he know that. She need to release her all pent-up emotions. And he want her to her do it now. The pain that she was holding for so long, the pain which was killing her slowly, the pain which has taken her confidence has to be taken out either by tears or anger it doesn't matter.

[B]" I don't want anything except time attention and care not even his love...not even his love."she said bending down on her knees, covering her face with her palm and crying. The anger was transformed into tears. And she cried hysterically.

He bend down on his knees too and removed her palm. He take her in his arms and soothe her by running his fingers through her hairs. He didn't say her to stop crying, he just keep hugging her. She also hugged him by winding her hand on his back. After sometime her cried stop. And realising their position she unwound, mumbled a sorry and got up to move from there.

" Wait Arohi. "[B]

She stopped on her track but didn't turn around.

[B]" If I help you to get those things which you want from him."

" By making me something who I am not " she answered turning her head.

There was no sarcasm, no pain just pure innocence in her this sentence.
" No... By making you explore your potential."he said coming towards her.
She gave him a questioning look turning around.

" I promise I will not try to change you. Not even a bit. Just trust me. "he said looking into her eyes.

" Thank you "replied Arohi smiling.

"Thank YOU Arohi for trusting me"

" Are Mai yahan kis kaam se aaya tha ye to batana hi bhool Gaya."he said diverting the topic.

"Haan main pooch na hi bhool gayi. Tujhe mujhse koi kaam tha."

" Are yaar main 20 saal ke baad yahan aaya hoon. Thoda to ghumna Banta hai na. Par Vansh busy hai or Tauji ke saath to ja nahi sakta. You know age difference or I would say frequency match nahi karti in my words. So Vansh suggested me to ask you. If you have time ...can you show me around?"he asked
" I would love to."

" So when are we starting?"

" Jab tum bolo. Just let me know a day before, so that I can make sure that I am not needed in the office."replied she.

" How about tomorrow. Waise bhi kal Saturday hai."

" Ok "

" Cool then. See you at ???"he asked

" 9 "she replied smilingly at his antics.

"So from where are we going to start."asked Arjun tying his seatbelt.

" We will start from rose garden then leisure valley then open hand monument then rock garden and finally sukhana lake."

" That's quite tight schedule I must say. So Miss. Intelligent I hope aapne mere tummy ke bare Mein bhi socha hoga."

" Don't worry they all are tourist spots so there are many hotels and restaurant nearby."she said smiling.

First they ate something at the restaurant near rose garden and then started their journey. They were moving from one spot to another. Arohi was telling him about the spots. How it was made. What its significance and other things. He would make her laugh by cracking some silly jokes. They both were enjoying each others company. And finally they came to their last destination Sukhana lake. Though they were not able to boat but the view of sunset was worth watching. The view was ethereal and magnificently beautiful. The reflection and bright orange colour of the dawning sun on the water was just magical. Something which give you unknown kind of satisfaction. Such is the nature beauty. She sat nearby to enjoy the moment. He also sat beside her. All their tiredness and fatigue was replaced by calmness.

" You know Arjun when I came here for the first time. I was with my parents. They have come here to fulfil their wish of coming here with their child. When I come to know about it I also decided that whenever I will come here next time it will be with someone whom I love. But it never happened. Vansh never got time. And my wish remained unfulfilled for my whole life."said Arohi looking at the dawning Sun.

" Oh I am sorry. If I know I would have never came here."he apologized.

" It was not your mistake. I have decided to come here. Because I have realized that some wishes are not meant to be fulfilled. Moreover even if he got time to come here with me it would have been meaningless. So just chill out."she replied looking at him.

She turned her head back to the view. He looked at her. And a smile automatically creep on his face seeing her beautiful smile.

" Thank you Arohi for showing me around."
" It's ok. Don't be formal. I also enjoyed."

" Waise yeh sab jagah to main khud bhi ghum sakta tha because these were tourist spots."
Arohi smiled and gave him 'oh really' look.

" OK I will stop that thing and will ask you directly "said Arjun rubbing his index finger on his forehead.

Arohi gave him a questioning look.

" Would you like to accompany me ... I mean I wanted to see this fare. So if you have time..."he asked awkwardly showing her the pamphlet of a fare which he got when they were coming out of restaurant after lunch.

" You want to go here."she asked amusingly pointing toward the pamphlet.

He nodded.

" You know I also wanted to go there but I have no one to accompany me. Shefali don't like these kind of crowded places and Simmi and Gauri are out of town."

" Don't worry. Now you have ME"said Arjun huskily looking into her eyes.
There was an awkward silence between them.

" I think I should go. Good night."said Arohi breaking the silence.

" Good Night "he replied.

She moved towards her house and he looked toward her retreating back.

" You know Dad it was fun. I enjoyed very much. I enjoyed her company. You know we visited so many places but my favourite was Sukhana Lake. It was so beautiful. You really was right. You know you should have seen her smile when she was seeing the sunset. You know dad... I like her...ummm... I like being with her". Arjun was video calling his father.

[B]" Yeah.. I got it that you like her VERY MUCH but beta you know na she is engaged."

" Oh Dad come on. Don't behave stereotypically. I like her as a friend."
" Ok...ok.."

" Waise Dad Maa kahan hai."

" Why are you calling her. You know na if she came to know that I have not gone for walk she will literally kill me."

" Wo to main pakka karungi."replied Arjun's mother.

" Hey beautiful Good morning."greeted Arjun.
" Good Afternoon Beta."

" It seems you have enjoyed. Tere bina man nahi lag raha. You know na your father is so boring."

" Oh so I am boring. Do you want me to show you how interesting I am."

" I think I should leave you guys alone. Get a room you two and please don't forget to close the door of the room."teased Arjun.

" Shut up Ajju. And aapko to main baad Mein dekhti hoon. Bye beta. And enjoy yourself to the full."

Thank you for your precious and genuine comments.
I just want to say that pls don't hate this Arohi and I don't even want you to pity her. I just wanted to create a situation where it happens that we were able not able to get what we want and we consider that something is wrong with us only. Moreover she is afraid of rejection. Everyone of us face such situations where we are afraid of rejection so we don't voiced it. I am not saying that rejection would be love rejection. It can be of any type. So I just created a situation.
Hope I have not hurt anyone's feeling. If by any chance I have done that I am extremely sorry.

He was looking at their pics which he has taken on the day of their outing and when they have gone to the carnival. 10 days has been passed from the day of his arrival. In these 10 days he has known very much about her. For him she is just like an open book. He just have to look at her angelic face or to be more precise, her eyes and he can read her easily.

" I don't know why this girl has an assumption that she is not perfect. She needs to understand that no one in this world is perfect. Every person has some imperfections. I have seen her in her office. She is a very confident girl when it come to work. I have seen her confidence when I have visited her at office. Though I have not listened her as I was waiting outside conference hall but I could tell this from her body language. Aur jab hum us carnival Mein Gaye thein I came across a totally different Arohi who is carefree fun loving and full of life. For the first time I have seen her laughing truly from her heart. Her eyes were twinkling when she was laughing. That day is one of the best day of my life. The day filled with her smiles and laughter. I will always cherish this moment."he thought looking at her smiling pic which he took without her knowledge.

" It is my favourite pic. She was looking angelic with that heart warming smile. Anybody could fall in love with her looking just at her pics. But I don't understand why Vansh and her equation is like this. Maybe because they don't spend time with each other. Oh hell ' They don't spend time with each other' it is the key point. Even if he don't love her, he is marrying her. He NEED to spend some time with her. I need to talk to him."thought Arjun and went to talk to him.
He knocked at his door.
" Yes Arjun come in."said Vansh looking at him.

" Vansh I need to talk to you."

" Yes Arjun I am hearing. Say"he replied typing on laptop.

" Vansh it's important. It's about Arohi."

" What about Arohi.". He once looked at him and again busied himself on his work.

" Vansh I said it's important. Can you do that later please."he said little pissed off.

" Ok I am sorry. Tell me what you were telling."he said closing the laptop and keeping it aside.

" Vansh I want to talk about you and Arohi. You two are getting married in less than 2 months. But you two don't behave like one. You don't spend time with her. She need your time. She need you Vansh."

" Did she told you that."asked Vansh.

" No. But any girl will want to spend some time with her would be husband. To know him better, to make him know her better, to adjust in each other's lifestyle. Any more things like that."

" Arjun we don't need to know each other because we have known each other since childhood. And she know that how busy I am these days with so much projects lined up. And moreover she never asked me to take her out. You are just reading too much."

" Uff... Vansh knowing each other since childhood and knowing someone you are going to marry are two different things. And one more thing. No girl will come to you and ask you' Vansh please take me on a date. I want to spend some time with you.' Moreover the girl we are talking about is Arohi. She will never voice her felling because she knows your priorities. Did you get that. You need to change yourself a bit. If she is making an effort to adjust in your lifestyle. You should also make some efforts to take out some time for her, of your so called busy schedule."

" Arjun just tell me what do you want me to do?"

" Oh they have gone to attend the wedding of a close friend's daughter."

" They left you alone."

Arjun was amused to hear that. She also don't know where it come from.

Arjun raised hid one eyebrow giving her a questioning look.

" Woh we girls have sixth sense. We can tell a person's character by just meeting him."she blurted nervously.

" Okay... And if your so called sixth sense is wrong about someone then what will you do."he asked raising his eyebrows and locking his arms near his chest.

" Waise mera sixth sence kabhi wrong nahi hota. Par agar kabhie Ho bhi jaye to I am trained in taekwondo."she said showing him one of the pose.

" Ok I get that. Now tell me what you have to tell me."

" Oh yeah I forget about it. You will not believe what happened sometimes ago."she said excitedly.

" First tell me then I am the one who will decide whether to believe it or not."he said playfully imitating her.

She hit his arms playfully.

" Shut up and listen. You know Vansh called me an hour ago and asked me out. Can you imagine he asked me out. It will be my first date with him. I am very exited and nervous too. I don't know what I will do"

He felt something pricked his heart. He don't know why he was feeling like. He was the one who suggested it to Vansh and he himself is feeling bad.
Arohi shook Arjun.

" What do you mean what you will do. You both will talk, eat and dance on some slow music."replied Arjun comprising himself.

" But I don't know how to dance."

" It's not any competition where you have to dance."replied Arjun chuckling.

" I know that but I can't move my leg on rhythm and stomped the person leg mistakenly. That is the reason that I don't dance with him."

" That's I am hearing for the first time that a girl can't shake her."

" What do you mean by that. Everyone is not perfect."

" That's the thing I want to say that everyone is not perfect."he said looking into her eyes trying to convey the message.

There was an awkward silence in the whole room.

" Accha I will teach you how to match the rythm."he said breaking the silence.

" May I "he asked before putting his hands on her waist.

She felt a tingling sensation in her whole body.
He took out his phone and played a slow number.

" Now try to move according to me."he said moving on the rhythm.

She put her hands on his shoulder and moved according to him but she stomped him mistakenly.

" Oww... Easy lady. If you gonna dance like this then you'll surely hurt him. Let's try one more time."

She looked at their feet to match his steps.

" Never look down. Always look into a person's eyes."

She looked into his eyes but again put her feet on his feet.

" I told you na. Mujhse nahi hoga."she said sadly moving towards her bed and sitting.

He looked at her and then something strike him.

" Ok I have an idea. Let's try that."he said pulling her from the bed.

" Open your slipper and put your feet on my feet and then you'll be able to match the rhythm."he said opening his own slippers.

" But Arjun..."

" Let's try. If it will not work then I will not force you further."he said forwarding his hand to her so that she can step on his feet.

She step on his feet and left his hand but stumbled. She hold his t-shirt in her fist to prevent herself from falling. And his hand automatically wound itself around her waist to do the same. They both look into each other's eyes. Both can feel the sexual tension building between them. But they shrug it off.

" Are you fine."

She just nodded.

" Wound your hand around my neck. Warna tum gir jaogi."

She did as he said but it only bring them closer. His breath was fanning her cheeks making her heart throb inside her chest. She looked down to stop her erratic heartbeat. He put his finger inside her chin to lift her face. Both look into each others eyes and starting moving in rhythm. They both were so lost in each other that they have don't any control over their own body. They were inching closer to each other. His hands started moving upwards towards her shoulder. Their face was so close that their breath was mingling with each other. He touched his head with her and she closed her eyes in response. He nuzzled his nose with her slowly making her loose her sense completely. He placed a kiss on his right cheeks and eyes followed by the left one. He moved his lips towards her forehead and planted a kiss. She opened her eyes and it immediately got connected with his. She saw something very pure, very serene something which she wanted to see in Vansh's eyes. This made her realise their position. She unwound her hand slowly and tried to move back but Arjun was faster than her. He snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her flesh towards himself. He locked her eyes with his and bent his face to capture those petals with his lips. He was about to place his lips on her when his trance was broken by Maria's voice. They moved apart. The awkwardness and silence was killing both of them.

" I think I should go it's quite late."

She just nodded her head.
She laid on her bed and started thinking about the event happened a few minutes ago. Though their relation is imperfect to be in the situation they were sometime ago but everything about the situation felt perfect.

" What the hell I am thinking. I am going to marry Vansh. I love him. It's wrong. It's shouldn't have happened."she said to herself.
" Then why doesn't it felt wrong?"asked her inner voice.

Arjun condition was also not different. He know that he should have apologized but he is not sorry for whatever happened between them. The moment was just perfect. And he don't want to ruin the moment by saying sorry, specially when he don't mean it.

He entered into her room without knocking because the door was ajar. Nowadays he don't feel like being formal with her. He was stunned to see her.


Her back was facing him giving the view. Her hair was tied in high pony making the back visible. He don't want her to become conscious so he return back and knock the door.

" Come in."

" All ready to kill him."he said smilingly. He don't want any awkwardness between them after last night.

" Oh I am very nervous. Do I look good."

" Good... Girl you seriously need an eye check up. You are looking breath-taking heart throbbing-ly beautiful. Your are magnificent."
He wanted say all this and much more but he said"You look gorgeous"

A red colour automatically made it's way towards her cheek. He liked the way her cheeks turned red just by his mere sentence.

" If you could open your hair then it will look more good."
He can't stop himself for telling her this. He was just insecure. A kind of possessiveness took over him. He just don't want anyone to see her bare back not even Vansh.

Her hand automatically reached to open her hair. As if his wish is her world. She opened her hair relieving him.

" I have bought something for you"he said coming towards her.

She gave him a questioning look.

" You can consider it as a good luck charm or a gift."he said giving her a velvet box.

She opened it and found a beautiful diamond bracelet.



" It's beautiful.". The word escaped her mouth.

" You like it."asked Arjun hopefully.

" Yeah but I can't take it."

" Arohi pls don't refuse it. Pls keep it."he pleaded.

She took it from the box and wore it. She was not able to refuse it further.

" Thank you for this good luck charm. Main ise kabhie nahi utarungi."

Her this sentence gave him an unknown kind of happiness.

Then they heard a sound of car horn.

" I think Vansh is here to pick you up."

She hugged him which shocked him.

" Thank you Arjun for this beautiful gift."said Arohi.

She herself don't know why she hugged him. But she felt like hugging him. And she listened to her heart and actioned her feeling.

They came down.

" Arjun you here?"asked Vansh.

" Yeah I just came to wish her"

" Oh ok. Waise where is Arohi?"

Arohi came out of the house. He was about to reply.

" There you are. Oh my god you look beautiful."complimented Vansh.

It pricked Arjun's heart.
She just smiled in response.

" Let's go "he said putting his hand on small of her back and moved towards the car.

" See you Arjun."said Vansh.

He just nodded. And they drove away. He just don't feel good about everything. He could not think Arohi enjoying with anyone except him. He couldn't digest the fact that he will not be the reason of her laughter. Hell he couldn't see her with anyone other than him not even with her own fiance.

Here Arohi condition was also not different. She had waited so long for this moment. But when it had arrived she doesn't feel like enjoying it. Some time ago when she was with Arjun everything was good but now she is feeling that something is amiss. She has not missed the sadness of his face when they drove away.

" Are you fine Arohi"asked Vansh.

She nodded smilingly and concentrated on her food.
