A small boy was sitting on foot path selling balloons wearing torn clothes..he was sitting with his face down..a plate of samosa came in front of him...he looked above to find Arohi standing with a small smile..

Arohi: dekh kya rahe ho..lo na! tumhare liye hi h..

The boy looked her and took the plate from her hand..

Boy: aap bhut achi h didi..aap mere sare gubbare le jaiye..

Arohi: nhi mujhe nhi chahiye..tum aaram se ye khalo..she smiled n started leaving but the boy stopped her..

Boy: nhi..aapko ye lene padenge..he handed her all the balloons..ab hmara hisab baraber..

Arohi smiled amusingly with the self respect he has..she took from him..

Arohi: thank u..she said as the boy sat back n started eating..

Arohi looked above in the sky..

Arohi: ek bhookhe insaan ko khana khila diya meine...apki party done..ab aap aise hi sab kuch mere life mein acha krte rahiyega...mein apko party deti rahungi...she smiled n left from there giving a last glance to boy..

She was walking on road towards her place when her phone rang...she smiled seeing her bestfriend calling..

Arohi: hello...Shefu...I got the job...she pushed the phone away from her ear as shefali screamed on phone..

Shefali: I knew it...I told u..i am so happy...congratulations Aru...

Arohi: thank u Shefu..kash tu bhi mere sath hoti...

Shefali: I miss u too here in Shimla..but tu tension na le..pass nhi hun sath toh hamesha hi hun tere..

Arohi nodded: u know mera boss bhut khadus n sadu h..

Shefali laughed: tu sahi kar diyo...jaise us khadus Mr Chaudhary ko kia tha..apne boss ki chair pe bhi fevicol lga diyo...

Arohi laughed: zarurat pai toh sahi toh isko bhi kar dungi...

Shefali: kya din the vo yaar...she sighed..

Arohi: how is Miss Jenaa?

Shefali: she is fine..everyone miss u..its been 3 years u visited us..

Arohi: I wish I could...I miss u all too..her voice tearing..

Shefali: don't cry yaar..now everything will happen for good...

Arohi: once I will settle here I will bring u here too...

Shefali: yeah...then we will stay together forever..

Arohi wiped few tears which had unknowingly flowed down..

After sharing few more words they hung up..

Arohi reached outside her home...she searched for keys in her bag n opened the door...it was only one room..with a washroom and kitchen was open in one side of room...

She tied balloons to one side of bed..n quickly changed her clothes..she wore a long loose t-shirt and shorts..

She quickly cleared all the mess she left in morning...she was in no mood to cook something so had bread butter with tea..she took out her clothes for her first day in office..she was very excited to start her new life..and this time she won't do any mistake..she opened the cupboard to pull out a blanket but along with blanket a photograph fell down..she picked it up..it was her photograph from her college days..she was smiling in the pic and a hand was on her shoulder..but the other side of photograph was torn..tears welled up in her eyes but she blinked them away before they could flow down..she threw the photograph inside n closed the cupboard..

Arohi: u promised urself...no more crying over him..no more past memories...she closed her eyes n took deep breaths..welcome the new beginning...she smiled...n mved to bed switching off lights..

Arjun reached his home as usual late from office..his dadi was sitting in hall waiting for him..

Dadi: tu sahi time pe aana kab seekhega...roz itna late aata h..she scolded him..

Arjun smiled: aur aap shi time pe sona..? meri vjh se kyu jagte rhte ho..he said as he approached her..

Dadi: tu time pe aa jaya kar..mein time se so jaungi..she caressed his cheek lovingly..bhu kyu nhi jata sab..zindagi ko ek naye sire se start kar..

Arjun held her hand: mushkil h bhut..her life got destroyed because of me

Dadi: teri galti nhi thi..galti uski thi..tu bhi toh usi dard mein h..

Arjun: I couldn't protect her...he choked..

Dadi: agr tu kar sakta toh tu karta..tum dono galat nhi tha..par tum logo ke sath galat hua..

Arjun: usne aisa kyu kiya..itni nafrat kyu mujhse?

Dadi: tu baar baar unhi baton ko soch kar apna dil na jla..bhagwan sab sahi karega..

Arjun: galat toh tab ho rha tha...apke bhagwan ne tab kuch kyu nhi kia..ab kya karenge vo..

Dadi: bharosa rakh..mujhe pura vishwas h teri zindagi mein khushiyan vapas aayengi..aur is baar koi cheen nhi payega..she kissed on his forehead lovingly..

Arjun: kaise bharosa rakhun dadi..vo mujhse nafrat karti h..uske sath galat hua aur mein kuch nhi kar paaya..he hugged her n let his tears flow..

Dadi: bas mere bache..tu gunahgaar nhi h..kab tak apne apko kosta rahegajo hua galt hua par koi kuch nhi kar sakta tha...she patted his back..

Arjun: aakhir mere sath aisa kyu hua..?

Dadi: mujhe maaf karde bache..mein kuch nhi kar paayi...tere liye..her eyes got teary..

Arjun composed himself..

Arjun: apki koi galti nhi thi..shayad yhi meri kismet mein likha tha..pyar se door rehna..pyar mein chot khana..he gave a sad smile..pyar sabko toh nhi milta..

Dadi looked him helplessly..she wish shecould do to lessen his pain..her child was suffering too much without any fault..his only fault was he trusted..he trusted so much..

Dadi: bhookh lagi hogi..khana lga dun? She asked changing the topic

Arjun looked her n gave a small nod...he had no will of eating but for her he agreed..his all wishes had died 3 years back..now only emptiness was left..

Arohi entered in office wearing a fitted striped trouser with a tan top and a jacket over it...she headed towards Arjun's cabin and with a slight knock entered in..

Arohi: Good morning sir..she said taking his attention who was busyin reading some file..

Arjun looked at her..he gestured her to sit as he called someone inside..an elderly man came inside after few minutes..

Arjun: Miss Arohi..he is Mr Sharma..our manager..he will explain u everything..

Arohi looked at Mr Sharma n nodded with a smile..

Arjun: now u may leave..he said dismissing her n resuming back to his file..

Arohi looked at her sadu boss andsighed...he is so arrogant..

Mr Sharma gestured her to come with him..Arohi was at the door...when he heard him say..

Arjun: umm..Miss Arohi..All the best for ur first day..

Arohi smiled: thank u sir..

Arjun nodded n looked at his file as Arohi left the cabin..

Mr Sharma showed her her desk..and told about everything else..

It was late in the afternoon when Arjun called her to give her some file...other than that she had no interaction with him whole day..

It was evening and it was almost time for everyone to leave when he called her..

Arjun: miss Arohi..is the report ready

Arohi: yes sir...here it is..she handed him a file..

Arjun: okay..I hope Mr Sharma had told u all ur duties and u will get to action from tomorrow..

Arohi: yes sir..

Arjun nodded: u may leave now..

Arohi looked him keenly...

Arohi: everyone is leaving...aap nhi ja rahe?

Arjun looked at her..

Arjun: no...I have work to do..he said in plain voice,,

Arohi: but sir..there is nothing which requires you to do extra time..i mean u should go home spend time with your family..friends...girlfriend...

Arjun closed the file angrily..

Arjun: shut up..u r only my employee..wat I do and when u don't need to worry about it..he barked in anger..

Arohi: why r u being so angry..she asked shocked...I was just..

Arjun: stop it..agr family friends boyfriend ke sath time spend karne ka itna shaunk h toh jao jakr khud karo..dont give me ur advices...

Arohi's eyes teared up as he attacked on her most sensitive point..she composed herself..

Arohi: m sorry sir..it wont be repeated...with this she left his cabin rushing upstairs..

Once she was out of everyone view..she let her tears fell down.. only if she had family..friends or boyfriend..her life would have been different..she wouldn't have been suffering like this..the only family she know is so far from her in Shimla..for her home means orphanage and family means all people living there..rest all people she found betrayed her..no one was worthy of her trust and love..

As Arohi Arjun sat with grumpy expression on his face...he shouldn't have shouted like this on her..she was just being genuine and he shouted..he stood up n went near glass window which gave clear view of whole office..he looked at Arohi's desk only to find it empty..then he saw her coming and collecting her stuff..she carried her bag n before leaving gave a glance to his cabin...he didn't missed her red eyes which were clearly telling that she had cried..

Arjun fisted his hand in anger..

Arjun: great...zara sa chillane pr itne aansu..! rich spoilt brat...but u shouldn't have shouted like this on her..a small voice in his head said..but shaking his head he moved back to his seat...

the story will pick pace in next few parts...please jhelofy till then😳
