Chapter 6
Her hands were on his chest.She tried to move a bit back realizing how close they were.But Arjun had no such plans.He instead just pulled her more closer.They were so close that they could here each others breath.She very well could feel the strong grip of his on her.He moved the wet hair which was sticking to her face.She stopped moving.His hands were on her cheeks.He lowered his face and brought his lips close to hers,there lips just inches apart'..
Arjun very well knew the consequences of what he was about to do.She would never consider him as a friend again.Leave considering him as a friend she might not even talk to him ever againShe would even leave the school to stay away from him.He even might get a slap from her again in that rain.But nothing could stop him at that moment.Seeing Arohi in that look he had lost all his strength to control his passion and had moved towards Arohi.She was now so near him.Due to the rain her clothes were sticking on to her skin and he could feel it very well due to which he had a urge to pull her closer.He could feel her fidgeting but he was in no way going to leave her when she was so close to him..He looked at her lips,the lips which he had tasted before and which looked tempting as always!!
He lowered his face and looked at Arohi who closed her eyes.She knew what was coming.Arjun was just inches away when suddenly Arohi's phone started ringing which was in Arjun's pocket."Piya o re piya" was her ringtone.Arjun for a second that that like films some background music had started playing in that rain but it was when Arohi shouted "My phone" that he came to his senses.He moved away his hand from her face and turned the other side.Her phone was still ringing.She came in front and took her phone out of his coat pocket and quickly ran and sat inside the car.
"Where are you?"was the first words Arohi heard when she received the call.It was Shefali.Shefali continued saying "You had left in the morning for the interview and you are not yet back???What happened??You are fine na??Where are you?You got the job???"Shefali was going on and on."Shefali shut up and stop behaving like my mom.I will be back in fifteen minutes.will talk to you later.And ya thank you"Arohi said at one go because she knew that if she would stop even for a second Shefali would again start with her lecture..But nothing of that sort came.Shefali just asked "Thank you?But for what?"Arohi was going to tell her the reason behind her thank you when Arjun came and sat inside the car.Her pulse rate instantly increased and she could herself turning pink.Her mouth had become dry seeing him again so close to her.Ya he was not as close as he was just a few minutes back but his presence,even if he was a mile away brought butterflies in her stomach.."Arohi say something"Shefali said who was still there at the other end of the phone.Arohi was not in a condition to say anything.She could just say "Bye"and disconnected the call.
Arjun didn't have the strenght to talk to her now.Leave talking to her,he didn't want to look at her at that moment only.He entered the car and sat at the driver's seat to see Arohi still talking over the phone.She had quickly disconnected the phone and looked outside.Even she didn't want to look at him.Arohi had even closed the window this time.Arjun, to prevent any more weird time in the car and to prevent any conversation with her decided to switch the radio on.

Oops,was the first thought that came to Arjun's mind at that moment on listening to the song..Wrong song at a wrong time.After what had happened outside in the rain he didn't want this kinda song to listen specially with her beside him.Arohi at the same time could feel herself stiffen when the song was being played!!She found herself having goosebumps from top to bottom.When she couldn't stand to the song more she switched off the radio and quickly looked out of the window to avoid eye contact with him.Soon they reached in front of the mall where they had met for the first time.Arjun didn't know where exactly was her hostel and he didn't want to ask her too.Arohi got out of the car and started walking towards the lane when suddenly someone caught her hands from behind.She thought that it were the guys who always walked from here to there behind girls.She was almost ready to turn and slap whoever it was when Arjun shouted "Its me!!!!Dont slap me again.You had slapped me the last time in this lane only."Hearing him say that a smile came to her face and she asked "Why are you here??I mean why did you come out??" Arjun pointed pointed his hand towards a group of guys there who were staring at them and said "They were coming towards you since you were alone.You would not hav been able to resist them alone." Arohi rolled her eyes and said "Oh I cant resist them but you alone can resist so many people huh?" Arjun shook his head in frustration and said "Arohi please stop fighting here.They will think that I am your boyfriend so wont come here now.Come I will leave you till your hostel." Arjun entwined his hands on hers and pulled her forward to start walking.
Arjun again insisted her to leave the hostel and live in his guest house.He even asked her to bring Shefali with her but Arohi was just not bowing to his demand.At the end Arjun left her in front of the hostel and went back.Arohi ran into her room and sat on the bed..What a day it was.She got a job as a teacher in a school.A school where the owner was Arjun and then she had gone out with Arjun.She had spent the whole day with him.And if Shefali had not called she was very much sure that they would have kissed again in the second meeting itself.
As soon as she saw Shefali she quickly told everything to her right from getting the job to what would have happened if Shefali would not have called at that time.Shefali just couldn't believe what she had just heard from Arohi's mouth.She thought that she had been dreaming.Arohi pinched her hard to make her realize that what she had heard was actually true.Shefali started off asking question after question starting with Arohi's expressions on seeing him to every small thing.Arohi after some time got tired of answering her questions and told her that she would tell the rest the next morning.Shefali frowned and then went went off to sleep at the other side of the bed.Arohi laughed seeing her friend's eagerness.She too layed down on the bed but sleep just wouldn't come.
Arjun too was in the same condition.He had reached his home to see that his parents were fighting as usual so he decided to quietly go up to his room without informing them.He closed the door to his room and changed himself into casuals!!!He looked out of the window into the city that lay ahead of him.His life had always been full of boredom.Every day when he would rech his house his parents would have been fighting and he would come up to his room quietly.Ajay was the only person he used to talk to which made him a bit happy and forget about his parents.His room was at the back side of his house from where the view of the outside world was perfect.It was still drizzling outside.Arjun turned to take a look at his room.His room was quite big for even 3 people to stay.The room was painted blue with everything kept neatly.Arjun was a person who never used to keep his surroundings dirty.He always used to keep his place clean,be it his room or his office.He even never littered the road.There was a cupboard at the lefthand corner of his room where all his clothes were kept.At the opposite end of the cupboard there was a huge shelf where all his necessary things of the school were kept.He sat on his bed and looked at the papers Ajay had left on the table beside the bed.He switched on the night lamp which was on the table and kept the papers under it.It were the papers which Arohi had signed that morning.He took the papers in his hand and his eyes fell on her signature."She has a beautiful handwriting.just like her."came out from his mouth instantly.His thoughts went back to the day when they had met for the first time in the mall.He had always wanted to meet her since that day but never even in his dreams had he thought that she would be posted as the teacher in his very own school.Moreover he had gone on to spend the whole day with her.And he was even about to kiss her again at the second meeting.He always had tried to show irritating faces in front of her when she said or did something stupid but the truth was that he was loving the way she did those stupid chidish things.He loved every bit of it .He couldn't understand the mixed emotions going inside his heart.He had never behaved like this before in front of any girl.He consoled himself saying that he was just physically attracted to her.Afterall which man could resist seeing a beautiful girl in the rain.But deep down he knew that it was not just physical attraction.
It was around 2 at night and Arohi had finally gone to sleep when her phone started ringing.She figitted in her bed first thinking that she was dreaming.But the phone started ringing the 2nd time.She pushed Shefali with her hand so that Shefali would pick the call and attend it.But Shefali was sound asleep, totally unaware of the world around her. Arohi picked up the phone when it started ringing the third time."Hello"she said with half of her eyes still closed."Were you sleeping?" came from the other side of the phone."Who are you?"Arohi asked to which the answer came "Arjun.You didn't recognize my voice?"Arjun asked.Arohi jumped up from her bed with wide eyes "Arjun?"she literally shouted.Shefali shifted in her bed hearing the voice and Arohi lowered her voice then and said "Arjun you?Why did you call?That too this late.I mean whats the time now?" Arjun said "Two."
Arjun was not being able to sleep.Every time he closed his eyes Arohi's face would come in front of him.He felt like calling her up and tell her sorry for the way he had behaved with her."She might have had a wrong impression about me.I must clear it out"Arjun decided.Finally when he couldn't control it, without looking at the time he had called up her.
"Umm ya actually I was getting bored so thought of calling you.Were you sleeping?"Arjun asked with a caring tone.Arohi had went and sat near the window so that Shefali wouldn't wake up.She mockingly replied "No I was not sleeping.I was dancing at 2 in the night.You are an idiot.You woke me up this late?And from where did you get my number?" Arjun smiled and said "I have all your information Miss Arohi Ahluwalia.You had given all your information in the school documents which included your number!!!"Arohi-"Ok fine.Now why did you call me this night??" Arjun-"Why did I call??that umm..I wanted to tell you sorry"and then suddenly completed the sentence saying "because I couldn't take you to the icecream parlour" he didn't want to tell her why he wanted to tell her sorry now.He was feeling too embarrassed to remind her.Arohi-"You called me for saying this??Oh god you are so stupid.Now good night.am going to sleep."she said and was about to cut the phone when Arjun cut in and said "Don't cut the phone.Umm ok now that you have woken up lets talk.Arohi-"Talk??at 2 in the night?"Arjun then said with a dejected tone-"Umm..ya.Ok then leave it.If you want to sleep then sleep".Arohi finally for the first time gave it in and agreed to it.They talked on and on.They talked about everything in there life since there childhood.Arjun had but noticed that every time she was talking about her family she never talked in her usual joyous tone.There was something she never wanted to say about her family.Something that was very important in her life.He thought of asking her but then decided not to ask her.Arjun again asked her to shift to his guest house and this time Arohi said "If once again you ask me to shift am going to stop talking to you."After that Arjun decided to drop that plan.
Arohi was feeling very comfortable talking to him.But she decided not to tell him about the important thing attached to her family.She could never tell that to anyone.That was a chapter which was closed many years back.Or it was supposed to.
It was around 4 when Arohi was feeling too sleepy so Arjun asked her to go to sleep.And she instantly layed down and went off to sleep.She woke up around 7 in the morning.She was shocked to see that she had got up so late.She had to reach school at 8 in the morning.She quickly got up from bed and became ready.
It was 8.10 and Arjun was in school waiting for Arohi.He knew very well that she might have got up late and the credit was all his.Finally he saw her entering the school.She had worn a pink kurti of knee length along with white leggings.Her hair tied up in a pony tail and her locks falling on her face every time the air flew.She had just applied kajal with shining lipgloss and a small pair of studded earings.How can anyone look so hot even in such a simple dress Arjun wondered.
Arjun had 2 bags in his hand.He came and stood in front of an all too confused Arohi and handed them to her."What are these?"she asked to which Arjun said "You wanted chocolates right?These are 2 bags full of chaoclates!!!All yours." Arohi's jaw opened in shock when she heard that and asked"2 bags full of chocolates?" Arjun-"Ya one bag for each sorry" and gave a sorry kinda smile.Arohi still didn't get it "2 sorry's for wat?" Arjun cleared his throat,looked down and said "hmm yea one bag for the mistake I did when we met in the mall and the 2nd for yesterday!!!!!!!"Arohi face turned red with embarrasement.She didn't want to talk to him about last night in the rain.She didn't want to hear any reason from him coming so close and kissing her almost once again.She gave a fake smile as she couldn't come up with anything in her mouth at that time.She expected Arjun to start talking about last night any second but that never came.Instead he said "Second sorry for waking you up that late and not letting you sleep."and gave a small guilty smile to her.
Arohi smiled and said "Thnak you."Arjun quickly cut in and said "Ok now we will talk later.You have your classes starting in 5 minutes.You go.and all the best for your first class.Dont take any tension."saying this Arjun turned and left.Arohi was totally dumbstruck seeing his sudden change in behaviour."Has he forgotten about last night so quickly?"Arohi asked herself.Then suddenly she shook her head and said"Why am I behaving like this.I wanted him to forget and not talk about last night.But then why am I feeling bad?"At the same time Arjun had been thinking "I should have said sorry for last night.But what if she doesn't like talking about it?"
