Chapter 12

Arjun and Arohi both think that this was meant to be, that it was in their destiny to not to be together. It was quite clear and straight forward. They never got along, always argued wherever they went, sometimes hated each other so much that they could easily strangle each other and even their last meeting turned out to be Arjun pinning Arohi to the wall! But they wouldn't forget the good times either, the times where Arohi was drunk and complimented Arjun, the time where they danced together and it actually felt right...

Maybe it just wasn't meant to be...

The next day Arjun ran into his house and cheered loudly, "SHEETAL! KHUSHI! COME HERE QUICK GUYS! I HAVE GOOD NEWS!" Hearing the yelling alerted them both quick as they hurried down to see what was going on. Khushi stopped when she saw Arjun with a big smile on his face. It had been such a long time since both sisters saw happiness on Arjun's face. Lately he had become so over stressed as he was unable to find a job and there was something else on his mind but unfortunately Sheetal nor Khushi hadn't a clue. Sheetal smiled at Arjun, seeing him happy was all she wanted. "Bhai whats happened? You seem so happy!" Without a blink Arjun was already hugging his two little sisters. He let go and then broke the good news. "Well, i have finally found a job!!" Khushi began jumping up and down continually as she couldn't bare the good news! "Sachi bhai?! Are you serious? What's the job?" Arjun put his arm's around his sisters shoulders, Khushi on the left and Sheetal on the right. "It's nothing that good, but its got good pay...i'm a waiter for the big events held for celebrities and pop stars and so on..but its worth it! I mean, all i have to do is serve a few drinks and some food and that's it! Then i get paid weekly! And also, bare in mind that i could be called to do the job anytime! And my first shift is starting tomorrow..." Khushi had a huge smile on her face and blurted out "Bhai, does that mean tomorrow your going to meet loads of celebrities? Who will be there? Will you get me their autographs? Please please please bhai!" "Sheetal smacked Khushi on the back and lowered her eyebrows, "Khushi shut up, this is Bhai's job! Stop being selfish!" Khushi sighed and let out a big pout. Arjun burst out laughing as he hugged his two sisters even tightly. "Now watch, my two behna will be living a lavish life! We will all save up and then i will happily be able to get you two married off into a lovely family!" Sheetal knew she would be the first one to get married, and the thought of it made her upset. "Bhai please, i don't want to talk about this!" Sheetal walked over to the window and stared blankly into the sky..."I wish mama and papa were here, everything would be so different. Maybe i would actually be happy on my wedding day...maybe" Arjun lowered his eyes and sighed "Sheetal, does that mean you won't be happy?" Sheetal blinked out of her thoughts and looked at Arjun "Sorry bhai, i didn't mean that, it's just...i don't know how to explain it! Forget it, come on, lets all eat! My stomachs rumbling like mad!"

Holding the dress, Arohi cringed. "Ew, what type of dresses have i spent money on! Why would i want to wear this ugly green thing! Gosh i had bad taste those days!" Arohi turned around when she heard, "I agree". "Mom? What are you doing in my room?" Arohi's mom walked towards her and took the green dress from Arohi's hands. "I just came to see what you were doing...have you got a party to attend?" Arohi was shocked, for the first time in her life her mom was actually paying attention to Arohi? "Um, yeah i have a party to go to tomorrow. And i need something to wear, but i have no clue what!" Arohi's mom looked at the green dress and said, "Well i'm totally not letting you wear this! Let me see your closet" As Arohi's mom walked past Arohi and invaded her closet, Arohi suddenly began forming tears in her eyes. She couldn't believe that her mom was doing this. Arohi couldn't help but say "Why are you being so kind to me?" Arohi's mom stopped and turned around to look at Arohi. "I didn't know it was a crime to help my daughter to choose her dress. But it's fine! If you want me to leave-" "No Mom! I don't want you to leave, i was just asking" Arohi's mom carried on invading Arohi's dresses while Arohi sat on the sofa dazed out in her thoughts.

Arjun was suited and booted as he looked at himself in the staff room mirror. He was wearing a simple plain white shirt and and black waistcoat on top. Arjun definitely looked like a waiter indeed! He had experience of working with a celebrity and even though he hated it, he ended up falling in love with her. Quickly hearing his boss shout he blinked out of his thoughts and paid attention to him. "All you waiters, i want you all to know that this party is held especially for big celebrities! So i don't want any clumsy incidents or bad attitude or else you will get the sack! And one more thing, if any complaints come from the top shots then i can guarantee you that it will be impossible for you to find another job! All of you be on your best behavior!" Arjun rolled his eyes seeing the words coming out of his bosses mouth. 'Big headed or what! Are these people for real?' Just as Arjun took a step forward he felt a hand settle onto his shoulder. He instantly turned around to see a young man standing in front of him. Arjun looked at him and the guy wasn't familiar to him, "Umm yes?" The guys looked at Arjun from head to toe and had his mouth wide open. "Can you stop looking at me as if you've seen a ghost?! Who are you and what do you want?!" Arjun was beginning to get angry until he heard, "As if Arohi Sharma's ex-boyfriend is working as a waiter?!!??!?! Oh my god!?!" Arjun clenched his fists and grinded his teeth. "So what? Is there a certain contract saying Arohi's ex boyfriend cannot work here? No. There isn't, so i say that you shut your mouth and keep quiet." The guy let out a sarcastic laugh and folded his arms. "Ha, what do you think? I'm the only one that recognizes you?! Wait till you go outside to serve the famous people! They will all start talking..." "Let them talk! I'm not bothered?! What happened between me and Arohi has nothing to do with anyone! I can work with who i want, where i want to and WHEN i want to! Even if i was the queens son i wouldn't give a damn! Now get out of my way" Arjun barged past the guy and quickly left the staff room. He couldn't believe how him being a celeb's so called 'ex' would have this effect on him...

Arohi stepped out of her convertible Rolls Royce slowly and took a deep breath. She was standing in front of such a beautiful place, there were fountains in every corner, there was beautiful greenery landscaped across the pavements...it all seemed so lovely. Arohi ended up wearing her full toe length halter dress which was chosen by her mom. It was dark pink and had gems covering the edges of the dress. To top the look off she wore strapped heels that made her feel so high! Her hair was curled and pushed to one side of her shoulder, but her side fringe was straightened and left out loose. Today was probably the first time after leaving Arjun that she put effort into getting dressed. Well...she did have her mom to help her which was a first! It all seemed so different but she liked the feeling. Knowing that she couldn't move on from Arjun, she now knew she has her family by her side. Despite the fact the her father was too busy with his business that he never had time for anyone...not even himself.

Walking into the building Arohi stopped. She looked around to see the media desperate for pictures and interviews from someone else. No body even noticed Arohi. What the heck is going on! The media normally gather around me and don't even give me a chance to walk! Now look at me, my path is empty and no body even knows im here... Arohi tried her very best to see who the special person was that was driving the media away from her. Who is he? Arohi looked from left to right but his face was fully blocked by other celebrities and media! She walked in and still with the sound of her heal no body realized she walked in. Arohi recognized her friend Saloni and quickly pulled her away from the over-crowded place. "Saloni! What the hell's going on! Who is that person?!" Saloni was shocked and held Arohi's hand firmly. "Arohi, thank god your here on time!" Arohi raised her eyebrows and asked "Why?" Saloni took a deep breathe and said "Arohi, i don't know anything but, your ex...Arjun has been spotted working here so all the media have gone to question him about what happened between you both!" Arohi felt her heat beating faster and faster when she heard that name.. Arjun. "WHAT! ARE YOU SERIOUS?" Saloni rolled her eyes, "Of course i'm serious! Why would i lie! Listen Arohi, only you can stop this! I feel sorry for the poor guy..." Saloni let go of Arohi's hand and gave a sympathetic look as she left. Arohi closed her eyes and asked god why do you do this to me! why?

Arohi ran onto the stage and was in search for the microphone, she needed to stop this fast! Arjun was practically being driven mad with all the paparazzi in his face! She knew how it felt, and she didn't want that same thing to happen to someone else just because of her. Stupid microphone! Where are you!!!! Just as Arohi yelled like a maniac she found what she needed...the microphone!

"Everyone...listen up!" Arohi practically yelled and the response she got was all the heads turning to to face her. Arjun's eyes widened seeing Arohi. It was the first time in ages that he hadn't seen her...and the last meeting they had didn't go too brilliant! He couldn't believe how beautiful she looked, she didn't change one bit. She will always be beautiful, no matter how old she gets...! Arohi felt a huge lump in her throat seeing Arjun, she could not believe he was working as a waiter. The thought of this made her close her eyes...but then she realized she was on the stage and everyone was looking at her waiting for her to speak. She took a deep breath and began.

"Whats wrong with all of you? Leave Arjun alone, because whatever happened between me and him has nothing to do with any of you people! How would you paparazzi feel if everyone was in your faces searching for unnecessary answers? You wouldn't like it, so before you go round making people's life a misery, step into their shoes one day and you'll understand!" Arohi took a deep breath from the little rant she had on going. She could see the shock on Arjun's expressions. He was totally gob smacked. The media all just shook their heads whilst the security guards threw them out. Arohi put the microphone down and walked off the stage and over to Arjun. She was feeling so nervous even walking towards him...she felt like running to him and throwing her arms around him, she felt as if that she should just tell him everything she felt but maybe Arjun now moved on and didn't want to know her. Everyone watch as Arohi got closer and closer to Arjun.

All that was going through Arjun's mind was, Why is she coming in my directions..why does she have such a serious face on...what have i done? Arjun brushed away his thoughts when Arohi gently clutched onto his hand and took him outside where no one was. Arohi felt so weird holding his hand, but she knew that this was the time. The time to tell Arjun everything, what she felt, feels and will always feel. Arjun just walked along as Arohi took him into a isolated place. Arohi stopped and turned her heal to face Arjun. She looked him in the eye and smiled...she had it all planned but then she didn't know how to start off. Arjun looked at her smiling and then said, "Thanks Arohi.." Arohi looked at him in confusion, "Thanks for what?" "For saving me from the maniacs outside, they wouldn't stop questioning me about what happened between us...So yeah, thanks for that!" Arohi let out a small giggle and said, "It's been quite a while since we seen each other, but i want to tell you something Arjun..." Arjun smiled, "What a coincidence, cause' I've got something to tell you too...but you go first!" Arohi shook her head, "No, you go first" "No you! Ladies first!" Arohi sighed and she held both of Arjun's hands in her palm. Closing her eyes she struggled to release her feelings...Arjun saw the tension on Arohi's face. "Arohi, look don't be scared to say what you want, just tell me...i'm not going to hurt you?" Arohi felt a little confident and taking a deep breath said such a huge feeling to let her heart finally rest, "Arjun...i love you..."
