Chapter 10
Arohi was panting heavily against Arjun's hard chest. The dance ended and all they could hear was endless cheers, yelling and clapping noises from the audience. Arjun looked at Arohi who looked completely flushed out of her brains, he couldn't believe that for the first ever time a girl got him to dance, and that too he didn't embarrass himself. Arjun replayed Arohi's words whilst dancing to the song... to just look into her eyes, and to follow her steps and it worked! Arohi looked into Arjun's chocolate brown eyes, they totally dazed her off whilst dancing...she felt for the first every time...different. She didn't know what that feeling was. This was all done to just make Arjun feel weird just like he made her feel weird to sing without any preparation but the conclusion of the comeback was different. Arohi quickly slipped out of Arjun's arms and smiled at all her guests from the stage. Arjun looked away knowing that he was getting an awkward feeling about all this. He wanted to get out of the place right away but he had to go everywhere Arohi went today, so he grabbed her hand and took her off the stage with him...
"Arjun, leave me! What are you doing" Arohi yelled whilst Arjun dragged her out the hall, gripping onto her wrist with all the strength he could. "Arjun i said leave me!" With a hard yank Arohi's arm was to herself, as she stared at her sore cherry red skin Arjun raked through his hair. Arohi looked at Arjun, who seemed a little confused, and brought tears to her eyes. Why is it that every-time she has a moment where she thinks everything's going to be okay, but then bang the darkness hits her again. "Arjun, whats wrong with you? Why drag me out the hall all of a sudden? Whats happened?" Arjun looked at her and came close to Arohi, at the same time he closed his eyes sternly. Taking a deep breath he slowly opened his eyes, making Arohi gaze into his chocolate brown eyes..."Arohi, i wish i had the answers to all your questions but i don't know whats happening? Every time you come close to me, or i come close to you...my heart skips a beat" Arohi stared at Arjun with shock and then slowly let out small giggles. Arjun raised one eyebrow and took a step back..."And what are you laughing at Arohi?" Arohi's giggle just expanded and became into a loud laughter. "AROHI! What are you laughing at!?!?!?!" Arohi was laughing so much that she had to hold onto Arjun. "Arjun! Did you just-" She could barely speak as she laughed but then finally calmed down and cleared her throat. "Arjun...did you just say that your heart skips a beat? Do you know how cheesy you sounded?" Arjun gulped and looked down, "I didn't know it would sound that bad but its true!" Arohi crossed her arms and frowned. "True? Well, only a true lover would say that! Stop sounding like you love me or something!" She giggled for a second or two, then the most awkwardest silence came across. Without both of the saying a word Arjun has to break the silence. "Yeah, whatever, anyways lets go...your family must be waiting for you and it's slightly late right now." Arohi kept quiet realizing what she said earlier should have just stayed in her. So she just nodded on and sat down in the car with him.
Two weeks passed by and Arjun and Arohi were getting on well. Every event they went to, they went as a couple. Not even one person had a reason to doubt on their apparently 'real' relationship. Even Arjun was beginning to feel comfortable with all these things he had to do with Arohi. He knew they weren't really the best of friends but now they were both used to each other they were getting to know more about each other as every day passed by.
Arohi lay back on her bed and looked up towards the ceiling. She didn't know why all these butterflies in her stomach were invading her. Every time she was with him, she felt weird. In fact she didn't even have a clue of what she felt or was feeling. "Arjun Argggh!?" Arohi turned her body and sunk her face into her pillow. She just wanted to escape the world for at least...until she could hold her breathe really. Arohi quickly jumped up so she could get a bliss of air! "What the hell am i doing? Commit suicidal attempts only because i don't know whats wrong with me? I think i'm going mental to be honest..." Just as she held her head so she could think straight, she heard a knock on her door. "Come In!" "Arohi ma'am, someone is downstairs...he's come to meet you." Arohi raised her eyebrow and repeated "To meet me?... Okay i'm coming" Who the hell has come at this time? It's just turned 09.00am in the morning!
Arohi made her way downstairs just to see Arjun sitting on the couch. She began getting those weird butterflies flying around in her stomach, being irritating as usual. Calm down Arohi, it;s just Arjun...Act normal! Taking a deep breathe, Arohi cooled down. "Arjun! What brings you here?" Arjun stood up and smiled, "Well Arohi i needed to tell you something, and don't worry its good news!" Arohi smiled "Sit Arjun, make yourself comfortable and tell me, whats the good news?" Arjun looked at Arohi and sighed "Arohi, i never knew that within three weeks all the stupid rumors will stop and you know, now not even the media focus on us anymore...so mission accomplished!" Arohi's smiled slowly faded away... "Mission accomplished? What do you mean?" Arjun rolled his eyes " Arohi! I mean that we no longer have to act as a fake couple! It's okay now, we can live our lives normal now...without any fake couple acting! Now you don't have to be with me, and i don't have to be with you!" Arohi felt as if she had been slapped with reality. Slowly looking down, she made herself busy by playing with her hair. "Arohi? Are you okay?" Arohi suddenly stood up and held back the tears which were welling up in her eyes. "So go on then, you've done your job now haven't you. You know where the door is don't you? Your more than welcome to go!" Arohi was so upset she ran upstairs leaving Arjun confused and gob smacked.
Arjun couldn't help but think of Arohi's behavior. Why had she all of sudden acted so harshly towards him? In short words she basically told him to get out of the house. "This girl is so unpredictable!" "Which girl is so unpredictable bhai?" Khushi knew that Arjun was unaware of her being there listening to every word he said. "Oh Khushi, umm no one, i'm just thinking things through" "Bhai, you can't lie to me! And here, take your tea. You have been so lost recently, whats wrong with you? You don't even talk to me or Sheetal anymore..." Arjun felt guilty, because of Arohi he was totally neglecting Khushi and Sheetal. I need to phone Arohi, and get things clear with her. She can't just go like that? I mean, she didn't even thank me? Whatever is on her mind right now, she can't keep it in her any longer...she has to tell me.
