TOO STUBBORN TO BLOOM

CHAPTER 1

Arohi walked luxuriously through the green public park thinking about how she would present herself on the first day of her work. Arohi was in a white sweat pants and a loose white sweater . The first thing everyone noticed about her apart from her light brown eyes and luscious lips was the small beautiful pendant that was tied around her neck in a black thread. It was a silver pendant with an 'A' written inside a small heart and the 'A' was decorated with diamonds. The pendant was a gift from her dadu on her 18^th birthday and since then was on her neck. She loved to touch it whenever she felt tensed and today was such a day. Though Arohi was a very friendly and vibrant girl she sometimes liked to be alone for her own reasons.

Today is the most important to me! I am going to be the arts and film review guide in the famous college 'FREE SPIRIT' of Chandigarh! I have always loved films, colours, words and violins. Today I am going to be a guide a teacher to the students in that college. Free Spirit college is a special college , a college where there is no demarcation between teachers and students. Here everyone is aspirants of arts, be it of any kind. I am a little tensed because I really don't know whether I will be able to be a good teacher.

With these thoughts in her mind arohi walked into her house which was again a gift from her dadu on her 20^th birthday. Her whole family lived in Delhi and so it was only she and her best friend Shefali in this big house. Not that Arohi minded being away from her family. She loved her family but she knew it's better to stay away from them otherwise their already strained relationship would become more strained.

Oh! How would I present myself? Should I try to be a stern teacher or should I be my cool self?

She couldn't decide. Right then a cup of hot tea was given to her by her bestie Shefali and Arohi couldn't help but smile. Shefali always seemed to know what she wants.

"So are you nervous about today"? Shefali asked her.

"Yeah, I think I need to be myself rather than being someone else. Don't you think so?" Arohi opened her mind.

"Of course,You should be yourself honey. I know you will do great!"

"Thanks,Shefu! You sometimes give mindblowing advices." Arohi winked at her and finished her cup of tea.

45 minutes later

Shefali was just coming out of her room when she saw Arohi who was in her favourite blue jeans and white shirt. Even in minimum make up Arohi looked gorgeous. She tied her hair in a ponytail and wore her favourite Tissot watch. Shefali joined Arohi and both of them headed out. Shefali dropped Arohi in her college and headed towards her office.

Arohi walked into the Principal's office and greeted him with a tensed smile. Sensing it Mr. Sharma smiled warmly at her and said, "Morning Miss Arohi! Welcome to our institution! Don't be tensed, you will be just fine. Mind one thing we treat our students as our friends and we help them to groom their talents and guide them using the correct methodology. Here we respect their dreams and aspirations. All the best! " Nodding Arohi came out of the Principal's office and headed towards her classroom or just say art room.

When Arohi entered her classroom everyone looked at her or rather say stared at her. She took a deep breath and said to the entire class, "Hi,I am your new arts teacher or guide Miss Arohi Aluwalia. I guess we all can be friends?" Everyone was surprised to know that she was their new arts teacher but nevertheless they all smiled back at her and helping Arohi to ease her nerves and once again she was the vibrant Arohi.

Arohi was recounting everything to Shefali while sipping their cold drink in their favourite pub 'The Mystic'. "Shefu everything was just fantastic and perfect! Me and the students really got along very well! I really liked that place." exclaimed an excited Arohi. "Don't you think this is not a right place for a college professor Miss Aluwalia" asked a handsome boy in black jeans and blue shirt.

"I don't think so Mr. Swayam Shergill. Afterall, I am also a youngster and one more thing never ever call me a professor! It makes me sound like an old woman!"

"Ok, Miss Arohi Aluwalia" Swayam said with a grin. Turning his attention towards Shefali he asked, "So Shefu where is this mystery boyfriend of yours? I can't believe you never introduced us to him!"

"Oh shut up! He only asked me out last week! And he is not a mystery boy. He is Romit Singhania son of Rudr Pratap Singhania, the famous industrialist." retorted Shefali.

"Cut it down guyz! Seriously Shefu where is he?" Arohi cut in.

"He will be here in 10 minutes. I guess till then we should hit the dance floor. What say guys?" Shefali asked the two of them.

With these the 3 best friends headed to the dance floor. Arohi and Shefali were both looking gorgeous. Shefali was in a pink knee length dress with a pink stud on her ears and her hair was braided and was put to the front. While Arohi ws in a white halter dress without any make up. The only jewellery she had was her pendant and her Tissot watch. Both the girls were looking hot and were the centre of attention of everyone.

As they were enjoying their time in the dance floor a fight broke out in the pub causing chaos. In all these rush Arohi, Shefali and Swayam got separated. Arohi looked around to find her friends but she couldn't and was being tossed from this side to the other side. Suddenly the rushing crowd pushed her to one side and she collided with a stranger. Due to the dimlight of the pub Arohi couldn't make out the stranger's face but she strangely felt secure in his arms. The stranger dragged her along with him and they both tried to get out of there through the side door. Just then Arohi saw Shefali and Swayam outside and with a swift movement she ran towards them leaving the stranger alone. Arohi ran to her best friends and hugged them. "Are you alright Aru?" both of them asked together. "Yeah, I am alright. This guy helped me to get out." Saying this Arohi turned around to find no one. "Who Aru?" enquired Shefu. "He was just here. I don't know where he went." replied a confused Arohi. "Was he hot?" asked Shefali again. Arohi rolled her eyes but replied, "I don't know I never saw his face."

"Ok guys, leave it. Let's just get out of here and you Shefali message your boyfriend that you are alright and right now heading out to your home. We don't want your mystery boy to get upset." said Swayam.

"I already messaged him and don't you call him a mystery boy!" retorted an irritated Shefali.

About half an hour later these three were sitting in the living room sofa and discussing what had happened in the pub drinking their tea. "Guys I am tired. I am going to bed. Good night! I believe you are going to crash in here, Swayam?" Arohi asked.

"Yeah, I am and Good night"

Arohi was about to turn when Shefali asked something that left Arohi bewildered. "Aru, where is your PENDANT?"
