Part. 2

Prem and Heer were told to go freshen up, their siblings went with them and missed the chance to meet. Prem kept thinking about how shocked and surprised she looked when he had came in front of her. Her innocence made him grin as her big doe eyes flashed in front of him, her red ruby lips opened in a silent gasp, her face filled with shock amd guilt. And most of all he remembered the happiness in her eyes when she realized who he was...that meant Teji aunty and Balraj uncle were telling the truth...she really had been waiting all these years for him with love and eagerness just as he had been waiting for the moment he would finally see her...see his Heera.

In her room Heer was thinking to herself, "Hai bagwaan ji please Prem ko mujhse gussa mat hone dena...mujhe kya maloom tha ki woh pata nahin kahan se nikal ke aa jayega...lekin phir bhi abhi toh humara rishta shuro bhi nahin hua isse itni jaldi khatam mat karna". As if she could read her thoughts, Sukriti told Heer to calm down, "Jiju itni jaldi thodi na bhaag jayenge after all abhi toh unko tumhare saath romance bhi karna hai...ai hai kya baat hai itni jaldi laal hogayi lekin jab woh actually mein romance karenge tab kya karogi, isse taran laal hokar wahan se bhaag mat jana bechare samjhenge ki tum usse flirt nahin karogi...how boring it will be for him then". She laughed as Heer tried to hit her, but Heer had to admit it was true...she didn't have the guts to flirt with him let alone look at him in the eye after what happened in the hallway. Sukriti soon left to meet up with her friends.

Finally when Heer came down in a new and clean salwaar kameez, she saw the adults, Prem sitting in the family room. Teji motioned Heer to come sit down upon seeing her, she did so silently very well aware of the eyes that stared at her. "Heer hum sab bade log shivji ke madir ja rahe hai paas wale gaon mein...thodi der ho jayegi agar hum aaj raat tak nahin aaye toh kal subah aa jayenge...aur haan Sukriti ka dhayan rakhna, zada karke raat mein soona hai ki mausum bigad sakta hai aur tujhe toh pata hai ki woh raat ko soti nahin jab bhi lightning, thunder ya phir rain shuro ho jaye! pata nahin iss ladki ko in cheezo mein itna pyara kya dikhta hai!" Teji told her oldest daughter, who nodded slowly. The adults soon left behind the quiet couple. Later when it was getting dark, Sukriti entered the house to see a suprising sight! Prem and Heer were sitting on the sofa facing each other, chatting away. His arm was on the sofa where she sat and his hand was playing with her loose her idly. She didn't seem to mind and they both were laughing and smiling. Guess they became closer in just the few hours left alone. She closed the door a bit loudly so they could hear it and she walked up to them acting like she had not noticed their closeness. "Hey di...jiju where's the oldies?" she asked flopping down on the love seat and started playing with her necklace. It was sliver and had a anchor on it with a heart engraved into it. She was wearing a white salwaar kameez with silver payals and bangles. "Bade log...not oldies Sukhi kitni baar kaha hai tumhe badon ka samaan kiya karo," Heer admonished her little sister. "Uffo didi main unki insult thodi karti hoon main toh bas apne style mein unko bulati hoon...savvy mate?" doing an immitation of Jack Sparrow at the end. Heer shook her head while Prem laughed at his adorable sali. "Toh to puri nautanki hai," Heer said starting to smile slightly. "Uffo didi main ek nautanki nahin ek bindaas chokri hoon!" she was laughing now and soon Prem and Heer followed her shakin with laughter.

It was completely dark now and the three were having a great time getting to know one another. Prem saw the way the two sisters looked at each other lovingly and caringly. Sukriti saw the way Heer and Prem looked at each other and smiled happily...her anxiety that she had locked away in a dark corner had now fully disappeared. She used to worry on the inside when they didn't get any word from their to be relatives...and she knew that though Heer didn't say it...she was worried too. But now seeing them talk and smile happily made every worry, every anxiety disappeared.

Suddenly the lights flickered for a while and then completely died...leaving only darkness in its wake. The three sat up straighter and blinked to adjust their eyesight to the sudden blackness. They searched the kitchen for some candles but they only found two. Sukriti started talking, "Okay aap dono yahan pe raho main upar jake closet mein se more candles leker aati hoon". She took one of the candles and started walking upstairs. Heer took the other candle and started walking to the living room with Prem following silently. She knelt next to the squared table and placed the candle on it, Prem knelt on the other side across from her. The window suddenly opened all the way and the wind blew in the room...almost making the light stop.

Heer moved her right hand forward and Prem moved his left hand at the same time, making a circle around the flickering candle. They looked up, her eyes looked even more appealing and beautiful with the shadow of the light flying across her face. Her hair flew behind her as the wind played with the long tresses. She noticed his eyes had splashes of gold in them mixing with the brown. He looked even more handsome in the shimmering light. His hair fell on his forehead, some strands into his eyes but his eyes didn't blink...they both didn't...seemed like they couldn't...too busy looking into each other eyes with loving glances.

Suddenly they heard somebody scream, "AAAAHHHH!!!!" They broke out of their dreams and Prem said, "ye toh Preet ki awaaz thi". They both ran up the stairs and found Preet standing in the hallway shaking from head to toe. Prem ran up to him and shook him asking, "Preet what's wrong...tujhe kya hua itni zoor se chila kyun raha tha?" But Preet ponited ahead of him still shaking and whispered in a hoarse voice, "Bhaiya...woh...wohhh wahan woh...bhoot bhai woh ek bhoot wahan". Prem and Heer looked at him confused and looked to where he was pointing. They stared shocked at the figure...it was a woman wearing all white, with her face hidden and her long black hair flew over her face and in front of her. She had a single candle held between her hands and stood there with her face towards them but they could not see her face clearly. Heer hugged Prem scared out of her wits and he held her as the three stared at the woman...or what Preet said, "Bhoot!"
