PART FIFTEEN
the guys planned not to waste time in letting vaidehi know. they dint want to break her heart. shubh passed on the news to aastha but told her strictly not to let meher know. aastha called vaidehi to a coffee shop as they had become friends the first day they saw.
preet was feeling better now... he had figured out his feelings and passed on his tension to lakshya who looked as if he would die out of nervousness. preet felt perfectly fine about telling vaidehi that he loves someone else. but he dint know if his happy-go-lucky nature would do the effect on her as he had expected. he knew girl's feelings could be confusing so he decided to take on some tips.he drove to the company. it was the only place one could possibly find prem in the morning. on the way to prem's cabin, he was stopped by prem's secretary.
secretary: sir aap andar nahi jaa sakte...
the secretary was a young pretty girl.
preet flashed his flirty smile: kyu nahi sweetheart???
the girl felt her knees shake at his look and smile.
secretary: sir, andar conference chal rahi hai
preet: so what??? kya main sach much andar nahi jaa sakta???
he smiled again... she was struggling to say no..
secretary: no sir...
preet: bilkul nahi???
she felt herself give away...
secretary: meri matlab... yes sir... aap jayiye...
preet: thats better...
he flashed one last smile and barged into the cabin without even knocking. prem looked up and heaved a very big sigh. he excused himself and came out holding preet by his elbow.
prem; tumse kitni baar kaha hai ki aise khuske mat aao... kam se kam knock toh kar sakte ho... ye mera cabin hai...
preet: muje koi fark nahi padta... aapka cabin me main jab chahu khus jauunga... pata hai kyu???
prem: kyu???
preet: aapke bedroom me aaj kal khus nahi paa raha hoon... isliye..
prem: bathammizz
he raised his hand to whack but preet laughed and dodged.
prem: ab tumare mazaak khatam ho gaye toh me jaa sakta hoon???
preet: aapko iski ijaazat nahi hai
prem: shut up... am going.
preet: arre bhai... aap mere is dard-e-dil ko heal karke toh jaao...
prem: tum aur tumara dard-e-dil
preet: bhai muje aapse ek zaroori cheez seekhna chahta hoon
prem: kya hai???
preet: how to behave sweetly
prem: ye tum kabhi seekh nahi paaoge...
preet: achcha baba... ek aur baat bataaunga...
he told prem about his love for meher and that he was gona tell it to her soon and was right now heading to meet vaidehi. he told about the plan to make vaidehi fall for lakshya... prem was hearing all this with his mouth wide open. for one thing preet dint show a second's embarassment about his love... prem felt awed.
preet: okay bhai main chalta hoon... lakshya ko leke jaane hai na... bye bye...
saying this preet went out in full spirit... telling prem made him feel better. prem was still in awe but shook himelf and went back in to continue the conference.

lakshya and preet was sitting in the coffee shop. preet was whistling and humming. he was in great spirits. he even winked at a couple of girls who passed by. lakshya was completely nervous.
lakshya: pata nahi main kyu kar raha hoon ye sab tumare saath
preet: kyunki mere bhai, tum ek dosth ke baat kabhi dalte nahi hai... aur mere baat??? bilkul bhi nahi
lakshya: haan haan... agar koi ghadbad hui toh main bhaag jaaunga... jo kuch bhi hoga teri responisblty hogi...
preet: mere rehte hue kisi bhi ladki ke saath ghadbad nahi hogi...
lakshya: dekhte hai...
they continued their wait. it was soon broken by vaidehi who came in a green long sleeveless dress.
preet whispered to lakshya who had lost his consiousness in first sight.
preet: kaafi sexy hai... nahi???
lakshya dint say anything.
preet nudged him: kuch kahoge nahi toh kam se kam apne mooh toh band rakho
lakshya came back to earth as vaidehi pulled a seat and sat next to them. she smiled at both of the guys. preet shook hands with her.
preet introduced lakshya: mera dosth hai... MBA karke aaya hai... kapoor industries me kaam karta hai... bahut kamatha hai.. iski ghar me bas maa, bauji, bhai, dada, aur dadi hai...
vaidehi laughed: kya koi marriage proposal chala rahe ho??? full details bata rahe ho tum
lakshya felt a bit embarassed. preet's eyes twinkled.
preet: tume kaise pata chala??? of course wahi kar raha hoon main???
vaidehi was amused: kaise hone waale pati ho tum preet??? humare shaadi bhi nahi hui hai aur tum usse pehle hi meri doosri shaadi karwana chahte ho???
preet: woh kya hai na vaidehi... main tumse shaadi nahi kar sakta...
vaidehi was taken aback. but she had known that this marriage wouldnt work out the first time they had talked. she could feel he had feelings for someone else. that day when they had to speak like going-to-be couple they couldnt talk at all. but now... when he was making another proposal for her, he was talking so freely...
vaidehi: muje uss din se pata tha... tum kisi aur se pyaar karte ho, right???
preet: bilkul,,,,!!! tume kaise pata???
vaidehi: pyaar ko kaise bhi chupalo chup nahi jaata...
preet: wow great!!!
vaidehi: ladki kaun hai???
preet: tum jaanti ho use... meher...
vaidehi was excited: wow... meher... she is such a sweetheart... kab propose karne waale ho???
preet: jald hi... pehle tumare setting karwani hai muje...
vaidehi smiled and blushed. she looked at lakshya and their eyes met.
vaidehi: lagta hai tumne apna kaam kar li...
preet: oh my god... lakshya... tum mujse bhi aage nikal gaye yaar... muje kya kuch nahi karna padta hai ek ladki ko patane ke liye aur tumne pehli nazar se hi clean bowled kar diya??? great!!!
lakshya smiled and preet got up to leave the two together. vaidehi and lakshya had a great time talking and felt the vibes for each other that they have never felt for anyone before.

preet, aastha and shubh caught up to decide wat to do to surprise meher and tell her the news. they had a tough time getting to do something different that meher would never say no. but they got it in the end.
that night prem told heet about preet's love towards meher. heer was very happy about this. she and prem decided to tell the elders about this as soon as possible so that there wont be a delay in the marriage.
the elders were kind of shocked to know this but they were happy with this relation too. when they were told that vaidehi already knows, the elders were relieved. now it was all upto preet to get meher to say yes.

aastha was very worried: kya ye sab work out hoga??
shubh: dont worry darling... sab aise hi hoga jaise ki hum chahte hai...
aastha: i hope so... meher aisi ladki nahi hai jo asaani se pat jaaye...
she smiled wickedly at preet and shubh. shubh yawned pointedly and preet giggled.
aastha: kya???
shubh: mujse sab ne aise hi bataaya tha tumare baare me...
aastha: kya matlab???
shubh: yaani ki sab ne muje bataaya tha ki aastha aisi ladki nahi hai jo aasani se mere pyaar me diwani ban ne waali... aur dekho kaise mere peeche peeche aati rehti hai...
aastha glared and aimed to hit him. he ran and she followed him... leaving preet alone to anticipate wat was to happen that night.

that evening heer was busy making dinner for everyone. teji and gayatri were busy with some work in a friend's place. aastha and meher was nowhere to be seen so heer was alone. she was under the impression that they were in the house itself but dint know that aastha had taken meher out. shubh and preet had already told heer that they might come home late. the elders and prem were in office. even though she dint know, but heer was alone in the house at that moment.
she had her dupatta tied around her waist, her hair was tied up. she looked very typical house wife-ish. she hummed as she cooked...

before she could turn over the roti she was frying, somebody put their hand on her waist and held her up. she could feel who it was.
heer: PREM!!!! neeche rakho muje... kya kar rahe ho???
prem put her down.
prem: kamaal hai,.. tume kaise pata chala ki main hoon???
heer: apne parchayi ko kabhi bhi pehchaan sakti hoon main...
prem was still in his office suit. he had just come in.
prem: achcha... main fresh hoke aata hoon.. waise ek baat
heer: mmm????
prem: bahut khoobsoorat lag rahi ho tum aise house wife ke roop me
heer: achcha...???
she smiled.
heer: ab muje taarif dena chod do aur jaake cchange karke aao...
he went upstairs and bathed, dressed and came down.
prem: heer lagta hai ghar me hum dono akele hai...
heer was worried: woh kaise??? aastha aur meher toh da na??? kaha gaye dono???
prem: kahi bahar gaye honge... after all shubh aur preet bhi bahar gaye hai na??? dono saath hi honge...
heer nodded. prem smiled wickedly... heer noticed. she frowned.
heer: tumare chehre se saaf pata chal raha hai ki janaab ke dil me kuch wicked soch chal rahe hai
prem: wicked nahi hai...
heer: phir...???
prem: ab socho... ghar main tumare aur mere bagaair koi bhi nahi hai...
heer: haan...
he slowly put his hands around her...
prem: bas... main aur tum...
heer: haan...
he brought his face down to her face...
she knew wat was coming and welcomed it. she closed her eyes. his breath fell on her face... ... ,....

suddenly the bell rang. heer shook herself and ran to the door giggling. she opened the door to see lalit, balraaj, teji and gayatri. they had come back. prem was visibly angry with the sudden break in. but he managed a painful smile. heer could see the anger in his face, she smiled.
