Part 4
Rest of the journey went unexpectedly quiet for Heer. Prem concentrated only on driving. Heer recollected her conversation with him to find what went wrong and where. She couldn't come to any conclusion. Still she remembered his but thanks' and his hiding expression. She decided to stay calm for now.
Got out of the car in a beautiful place. Heer never saw such a beautiful location in her life. She always had a dream of visiting beautiful places but she never got a chance. Beautiful hills and a river running at a distance. Seeing Prem car came running a elderly person 'come beta. How are you?' seeing that person Prem also smiled whole heartedly. Prem 'fine kaka' quickly bent down and touched his feet. He blessed him 'long live beta.' Prem kept his hand on his shoulder 'how are you kaka?' Kaka didn't pay any attention to Prem's word. He looked at Heer who is admiring them. 'how are you princess?' Heer confused 'princess?'. But touched his feet as a respect. He blessed him whole heartly. He doesn't seems to be paying attention to confusion on Heer face. Kaka contined 'beta, princess is beautiful and loving. I'm happy you got a cute wife.' Prem and Heer are shocked. Prem in action tried to convey to him that 'she is not my wife.' But elder man is in happy mood not ready to understand anything. he looked at Heer 'keep my Prem beta happy. You both live happily.' He touched them blessed them once again. He showed a proto cabin set in a direction 'both go and rest there. I'll bring something to eat.' He almost ran to another proto cabin.
Prem looked at Heer 'sorry Heer.' Heer still in shock looked at Prem. He 'he is Ramu kaka.' Bulb turned on in Heer's brain. she thought 'wow. I reached him.' she looked at Prem 'why he' he interrupted 'he is the one who loved me so much from my childhood. He is part of my life. He took care of me like a mother. He does anything for my happiness.' He walked a bit away from her 'Exactly at the time of my marriage talks. Raja ji admitted him in a old age home without my knowledge. Why? I have no answer. I tried hard and found him in a old age home. I insisted him to stay here as this is going to be my work place for next few years. I will be coming and staying for a while too.' She interrupt 'that's okay. But why he called me princess.' He 'he can't hear. He is not aware of my marriage proposal failure. He understood you as my wife as he saw a lady with me.' he 'don't worry I'll explain him later.' She 'that is okay. Let him be happy thinking you as a happy married man. But tell him to call me beti.' He smiled 'okay.' They walked towards few proto cabins set in a place. Few men standing there wished Prem. Prem announced 'I'll meet you after my lunch.'
Climbed up into one of proto cabin. Heer is surprised to see the setting inside. 'its amazing.' She looked outside. She opened few doors and checked. She sat on the bed. He sat in the couch. She quickly got up 'I'm sorry.' he smiled 'its okay. No formalities.' They heard a knock and door opening. Ramu entered with tray of food for lunch. He placed it on the table. 'you both eat.' He went out leaving them alone.
Heer standing near the widow 'its really amazing place.' Prem walked to her 'that is why I selected this.' she 'you selected.' He shook his head 'yes. This building is for Juneja's elder son.' she 'its for you' he 'can't say like that.' she 'why? you are the eldest.' He 'in our family tradition, one who became father of his own blood became eldest.' She thought 'oh. Something clashing somewhere.' He continued 'so it could be for Preet.' She came to present 'no It can't be. Its for you only.' He smiled 'I'm not married yet. I can't be for another 5 years.' She thought '5, she said 10..' unconsciously she murmured '5 10' he 'what?' she quickly 'nothing' he walked away come 'first we finish lunch. We have not much time.' she managed 'ha okay.'
Lalit and Gay3 sitting in front of Pandit. Pandit after a long reading of several papers in his hand . he announced 'I checked completely. Prince Prem should not be in this mansion for next 6 month as he is not married yet.' Lalit is shocked. 'what?' Gay3 'what is this Panditi ji? We asked you to give good date for Prince Preet and Princess Meher. You are talking about Prince Prem.' Pandit 'Prince Prem timing is not good now. His presence in this palace affecting Prince Preet marriage life.' Lalit not convinced. Gay3 managed the situation and sent Pandit away.
Lalit quiet and angry. Gay3 'Raja ji, please be patient. Just for 6 months.' Lalit looked at her angrily 'he is next heir to our family.' Gay3 'ha Raja ji, for his good future we need to do this.' Lalit looked at her 'I can't allow him to suffer.' Gay3 placed her hand on his 'no need to. He can stay in the place where he is gone now.' Lalit looked at her confusingly. Gay3 'It's a palace we building for him. let him spend time there and build it on his own taste.' Lalit 'how will he manage there alone.' Gay3 'you have appointed Heer as his assistance. She will take care of him. for Prem I'm releasing Heer from this palace in charge post.' She smiled. Lalit felt little relieved hearing Heer taking care of Prem. He unconsciously feel comfortable for Heer being around Prem. He thoughtfully shook his head and forgot to notice victory smile on Gay3 face. He 'I'll inform this to Prince Prem in the evening.' Gay3 quickly 'let them leave tomorrow morning.' Lalit turned his face towards Gay3 'why?' Gay3 'Prince Prem won't be comfortable seeing Prince Preet wedding anniversary preparation. I'm planning to start it from tomorrow.' Lalit shook his head and walked out of the room.
Return drive to Palace is silent for both Prem and Heer. Prem thinking about Heer telling about palace for him. He is recollecting Ramu kaka's words and Heer's confident. He is confused and felt too heavy handle all those words. 'how she took Ramu kaka's word so lightly? Not angry. Not too excited. How? How?' thourghout their journey his face showed all shades of emotions. Heer is too much in deep thought about Ramu kaka's presence. Unexpected meeting. Yet she found it so easy and falling everything on place as she felt Prem's movement with her is so friendly.
Surprise invited them at palace. Gay3 announced Heer about 6 month duty. Lalit informed Prem about his plan. Prem without any question agreed.
Heer went to her room to inform this to baba as she wanted to know his decision on this. baba is happy to know about Ramu's presence in that place. But he is worried Ramu can't hear. Heer assured him that she will try her best to communicate with him in sign language and built a good relationship with him. Baba is also happy to know Heer staying with Prem away from Gay3 for next 6 months . he asked her to built trust and love with Prem. Heer agreed confidently as she felt Prem is not a hard a nut to crack. Instead he is a person who longing for love and care.
