CHAPTER 5
Franklin road, 63/7. Once again a new morning, a new hope. A girl of 18 was standing at the rooftop of her house. She put her earplugs on and played her favourite song while enjoying the cold breeze of the morning.

A beautiful curve formed on her lips. 'Life ain't bad, actually it is beautiful', she thought to herself. While enjoying the song she looked at her mobile's clock and started coming downstairs. She entered her bedroom and started looking at the photos on the wardrobe. She went to a photo of her and Preet.

'Totally freak', she said in her mind while looking at Preet and gave a mesmerizing smile.
Then she moved to the group photo of her family gang.

She looked at it with so much nostalgia in her eyes. 'Best people', she said while touching the photo with love.
Then she went to get a shower, came out and got ready for the first day of her 12th. 'Ending the school this year?', she made an weird face thinking about it. 'How can time fly so fast?' she thought to herself. She looked at the clock. There was much time in her hand so she decided to take a walk down to the memory lane. 'Geet and Heer will come after almost half an hour, let me check my scrapbook till then', she said. Yes, Meher it was. The bubbly kid was all grown up to an adult teen.
Meher took out her scrapbook and started going through it. It caused a very big smile on her face. She got totally lost in those beautiful memories.
She remembered how Preet gave her the name Kittu as she was his cat. How he fought with the boy who tried to hit on Meher when they were 15. It was the first time someone tried to hit on her. The guy really used to disturb her and Meher was actually very disturbed but after the way Preet did deal with it, no other boy could dare to do it again. Meher laughed out thinking the incident. She then found the photo of their Miami trip with the whole family gang and their families. What a tragedy that was! "Phew", said Meher. Geet got lost on the Miami beach and Geet's mom called almost all the police of the city to the beach but later they found that she went to a mall with her cousin who lived in Miami. She found the card Prem and Preet made for her together. The cover page had the first line saying, 'Meher's Best friend and Best brother' on it. Preet and Prem came really close with the time. They were now brothers rather than friends. Meher sometimes used to tease them calling a gay couple to which they used to act really in a very funny way as if they were actually gays. Meher found their group photo in the middle of the ice where they were celebrating Yuvraaj's birthday. What a terrible day that was. She and Prem got stuck at the school due to heavy snow fall. Thank God, Preet, Geet and Heer somehow managed it and prepared a beautiful birthday party on the middle of the ice also. Yuvi could never even imagine something like that could happen. How much fun they had that day. The photos of Heer's amusement park surprise caught Meher's eyes as she went to the next page. Another day of so many great memories and much happiness. Heer never went to an amusement park before that day. She never had good friends before the family gang just like Preet and all the other classmates of her past school refused to take her to their amusement park plan. Heer told Meher and others about the incident once and told them how much she wanted to go with the family gang. The family gang gave her a big surprise by taking her to an amusement park and before Heer could appreciate how much great her friends were she found another relation to cherish for. A brother. Yes, Preet gifted a beautiful mug to Heer which had 'Twin Siblings Can Win The World' written on it. Meher found the photo of Preet and Heer holding the mug together. Meher remembered Prem clicked the photo and as Heer was being very emotional at that moment, Prem tried to make her smile by smiling himself and showing it to heer as Heer loved his smile. Meher laughed out thinking the incident. In all those years, Prem and Heer despite of having a bit tough beginning had become real good friends and maybe Prem had actually started to feel good about the fact that Heer loved his smile, who knows.
All the reflection of those last past years came in front of Meher's eyes. She was enjoying them while Geet and Heer suddenly came rushing into her room.
Geet: Meher, fast fast. We are la...
Before Geet could complete, her eyes got wide spread in shock and she looked at Heer. Geet found Heer in the same state too. Geet nudged her and Heer looked at Geet. They both shared a very quizzical look with each other and then looked back at Meher again.
Meher: Hi Geet and Heer!
Heer could not digest anymore and screamed, "MEHEEERRR"...
