Honey...lets make sureA Meet OS by Nataliaaa
There he was sitting in a long flight from Vancouver to India thinking only about his wife of eight years. Yes eights years since he got married to Meher, the women who made him fall in love with her more every time she smiles, gets upset or whatever she does, he was still crazy about her.
In eight years their family has grown bigger, a 5 yr old Gungun, a 3 yr old Aman and 1.5 yr old set of twins Khushi and Krish. He remembered the day when Heer and Meher got back from the doctor's and told everyone Meher is expecting twins, everyone's mouth fell open except his.
They already had 5 year old plump Gungun looking like her mother, but smirking like him, and 3 year old Aman slim like him and big brown serious eyes like Meher. He just loved the combination. He couldn't wait to see what other two would be like. He shamelessly said 'daikha Meher, kaha tha na poori cricket team banayain ge.' Meher turned his favourite shade of pink and everyone else started laughing.
But he had grown terribly busy for the last 6 months. He was in Canada for the past 2 and a half months, and he hadn't spoken to Meher in the last 10 days just because he was winding things up to surprise her on anniversary and to be with his family for a longer time. Mr. Malhotra, their manager picked him from airport and greeted him with a much needed coffee and bagel. On their way home he discussed how he could manage more work from India, or if that wasn't possible, he'd think of moving his family to Canada.
On entering the Juneja Mansion he smiled. His crazy family was being more crazy in the morning. Herman and Maya, getting ready for work, deciding which kids they ll take school with, and they opted for Chahat, Gungun and Tanu. Prem being late had to take four boys Vikas, Ketan, Arjun and Aman. He sighed giving a goodbye kiss to very pregnant heer. another Juneja coming oh God save us all!
Gungun was trying her best to make Chahat and Tanu conscious about their looks as they were in stage of worrying what boys will think. He couldn't feel more proud she got this trait from him. Aman on other hand was standing with Prem quietly like his mother. He was the one who spotted and shouted 'PAPA', and within few seconds he was surrounded by kids of all ages and grown ups of all kind. They hugged and then left because they were getting late, except bauji, maa, Heer and Kuldi, but where was Meher? Just then Maa said, "koi Meher ko bhi toh batao preet aya hai."
As if on cue a tired looking Meher entered the hall holding very cute Khushi and she was stunned to find him there. Her eyes filled with joy. He was relieved to see this...but wait...it was there only momentarily, as joy was replaced by a 'I ll kill you Preet Juneja look'. She gave Khushi to Kuldi and went to check on Krish without talking to him. He went on and took Khushi from his sister, he had surely missed the kids. Meher was back but she was quiet. She started feeding the toddlers food. It was quiet a job he thought, as he tried helping her quietly. After that Meher left to take a shower and Preet decided to take both kids to their room to play with then and to use them as a human shield against their mother.
When Meher came out she could hardly control her laughter as Preet was sleeping and the two kids were sitting on him. No matter how mad she gets he knows how melt her. If he was awake he could have got anything he wished for that's how cute he was looking she thought turning pink. Anyways, too late for that. She put the kids to sleep in their nursery and went to kitchen. 'Kuldi lets make aloo ke parathe for lunch today', she said while entering. 'Why?' demanded Heer. 'Preet ke liye?' 'Nahi nahi', she lied. 'For kids, as they'll not be eating anything difficult as their papa is here'.
Preet woke up after a couple of hours to find Meher putting on lipstick. Wait! She only puts on makeup before going out. 'Meher where r u going ?' he asked. 'Today is kids' parent teacher meeting Preet ' she replied. 'Oh. Ok then, I'll go with you as well,' he said. She smiled the widest smile possible. 'Okay. I'll take out your dress, and you go get ready.'
After shower while getting ready, he was thinking what made Meher happy. He just came and slept. Just then Meher entered the room smiling and offered to help with buttons he agreed readily while pulling her close and saying 'happy 8th anniversary darling.' She was about to reply when Heer walked in and asked, 'Meher you're going to school na! I also have to go for Chahats meeting and Prem is not coming.'
On the way to school they were quiet as romancing in front of a pregnant lady is not healthy. In school all went well. Gungun's teacher was happy with her results, but worried about her pranks. Aman's teacher was totally fine except for Gungun coming often bossing his class fellows.
The ride back home was with kids plus Heer so Preet could do nothing there as well. On reaching home Meher ordered kids [and him] to settle for food, and everyone was happy to get aloo paratha for lunch. Just then Prem walked in with the older kids. Lunch was nice as he could see Meher stealing looks and smiling shyly.
'Arey Preet you're coming to the afternoon meeting with Mr Malhotra na?' Prem reminded him. There it was smile in her eyes replaced by sadness. 'Oh...so she misses me that much.' But he had to go to the meeting. On their way he asked the ultimate romantic hero PB for advice, and decided to surprise them with a family thing. With all Lalit Juneja's grand kids under one roof they had to reserve a full play place for the evening. They had activities for all, even for the little ones. There she was beaming with joy and a happy content feeling in her eyes. Just then Prem announced it was time for dinner and everyone moved to dinner place of the play area except them.
There he is, my husband who knows exactly what to do to make my day thought Meher, as they closed the distance between them. Then she grabbed him by the collar and planted a passionate kiss on his lips. Surprised by the invitation he was about to respond when he heard Prem clearing his throat. 'Why don't u guys have dinner alone somewhere and then maybe go for a long drive. We can baby sit for you guys,' PB said winking at him.
Preet and Meher readly accepted. Dinner was fun but they skipped the idea of long drive as Meher could see Preet was tired, so she suggested they should spend time at home rather than drive.
They reached home by midnight only to find all the family waiting for them, as the kids had refused to go to sleep without their parents. Preet took Gungun and Aman to their rooms, while Meher went with the twins.
Preet first read princess tea party story to Gungun. 'Aren't these princesses suppose to go and live happily ever after with their prince charmings?' he thought. Then it was Aman's Lightening McQueen with the piston cup series. Lightening McQueen was about to win the race when Preet realized Aman was asleep, but now he was too involved to let it go.
After finishing up with them, Preet finally went to his own room. Meher had already put both kids to sleep. He changed and they both went to bed. He kissed his wife and said, 'Honey... lets make sure we don't have more than four kids to put to bed on our next anniversary'.
There were too many things to talk about, so much love to share, so much to say, so much to do but before even they realized it both were in deep sleep.
WELL MAY B ANOTHER DAY.
