Preet smiled, as the driver played the song. He was glad that he got an Indian taxi driver. He had gone to a friend's place for a group project and had to stay over to finish the work. As his friend or more likely to say his classmate picked him up suddenly at evening from his house, he did not take his car along. Preet looked outside the half opened window and with the flow of the song he got lost in flashbacks.
Preet remembered how Meher surprised him with a lunch box at the university library on the third week of their classes. Preet had to stay late till the evening in the university for a quiz preparation and Meher knew that he would not take lunch because he was studying. Meher had just one class in the morning, so she went home earlier but when she got to know that Preet had to stay till evening, she came up with the lunch box.
"Crazy girl" Preet thought to himself and smiled.

Soon enough his mind diverted to the thought when Meher helped him putting Kul di's kids to sleep. Kulraaj and her family came to Australia after 2 weeks since he and Meher reached. It was maybe the last month when Kulraaj and Kiran planned a date for themselves and left the kids at Preet's flat. Preet was having a very tough time while telling bed time stories to the kids that he had to call Meher to come to his flat from her one. Preet was amazed how easily Meher handled the kids with bed time stories and put them into sleep. She even made Preet a cup of coffee as he was tired handling the kids but had to study.
" Meher, is just too caring" thinking to himself Preet let go a breath out of him, being happy.

Then finally, Preet could not resist but to think about the embarrassing moment of the last week again. Meher was trying to make Preet's clothes more organized in his cupboard when Preet came out the bathroom just in a towel wrapped around his waist which ended just above his knees. Meher's eyes widened and she almost jumped to turn around. Then saying Preet to change and call her back after changing, she almost ran away from the room.
"How silly of me that I forgot Meher was in my room" Preet sighed thinking to himself and bit blushed as well.
"Oh wait, why I even thinking of Meher on a romantic song? I mean this is supposed to be like I should be thinking about someone whom I love. But I don't love anyone. Strange Preet Juneja! You actually are silly" Preet mumbled to himself with a confusing look on his face.
Preet finally reached home. He thought to check on Meher as it was weekend and she must be at home. Moreover, after the breakfast they were supposed to go Kulraaj's place for 2 days stay over. Preet got freshen up and took the elevator to reach Meher's floor. He rang the bell several times and knocked the door for several times too. When Meher did not respond a bit even after a long time, he got tensed. He looked for the extra key of Meher's flat which he had in his jean's pocket. Preet never opened the door with keys when Meher used to be inside because he believed Meher had a privacy but today it was different. He had to open the door.
"Meher, where are you?" Preet screamed opening the door. Still no sound came. His tension increased. He started to look for Meher in the flat. Soon what he saw in Meher's bedroom, it surely brought a big smile on his face. Meher was in deep sleep with her mouth being bit opened. She looked so cute like that. Preet could not help but to stare at her. He decided that it would not be nice to call her up so he decided to do something about the breakfast for both of them and then to wake her up.
Preet was done arranging the breakfast and taking it on a tray he went inside Meher's bedroom. He placed the tray on the bed beside Meher and then slowly started tapping and pushing Meher's arm. Meher moved a bit but again fall asleep. Preet smiled at her and then again started his mission to wake Meher up. This time Preet started calling out her name too so Meher finally woke up. Meher was so surprised to see Preet in front of her and then was even more surprised to see the breakfast tray beside her.
Meher: Preet?! You here?! Breakfast?!
Preet: Chill Meher. I came home this morning and thought to check on you and the rest is history *chuckling*
Meher: Can you please be straight forward? *Confused*
Preet chuckled again seeing Meher's face and told her the whole incident.
Meher: Aww Preet that is really sweet of you to make me breakfast.
Preet: I made nothing Meher. Sorry you will have to manage with bread-mayonnaise, orange juice and apple. I have put just the amout of mayonnaise you like on your bread pieces. Well, for this poor breakfast you are the person to be blamed actually. You never let me make anything in last two months.
Meher: Haha these are enough Preet. But tell me do you need something else? I will just go and make you some.
Preet: Meher? *Sighed* What is the benefit of making you a breakfast then? Stop being so caring and take a break from cooking breakfast for at least a day.
Meher: Okay okay Mr. Juneja Youngest.
Preet: But Miss flawless I can't believe I don't even know how to make an omelette.*Frustrated voice*
Meher: Hahaha Preet, I will teach you no worries.
Preet: You better because I tried making omelette seeing the youtube but eventually I burnt it. I think I need some expert advice and guidance.
Meher: *Laughs* Okay Preet I am all here to teach you any day. By the way, we are leaving for Kul di's place right after our breakfast right?
Preet: Yeah, go and freshen up. So that we can start eating. I am starving Meher.
Meher went to the bathroom and came back after a while. Then they both started having breakfast sitting on the bed.
Meher: Preet it will be so nice na? All of us will be staying at Kul di's place for 2 days. Gaurav and Claire would be there too. *Being too happy*
Preet: Oh yeah Gaurav. * a bit down voice* I thought only Claire will accompany us. Gaurav had some work na?
Meher: Oh no, he has already managed the work. He just always has time for me and Claire. In fact for you too. After all you are his close friend too.
Preet: Oh yes. Anyway he truly cares for you Meher. Just like any brother would do for his sister.
Meher: Brother?! Preet, what are you talking about? Gaurav and Claire are the two closest friend I have in university and they have become your close friends too.
Preet: Yeah. Brother-Sister, friend-friend, all same Meher.
Meher looked at Preet with a very quizzical look.
Preet: No? *smiled with a not so sure face*
Meher: You have gone nuts Preet. Come on now go to your flat and get ready. The local train will leave sharp at 12.30 PM.
Preet and Meher were sitting in the train waiting for Gaurav and Claire.
-Meher? Preet?
They heard a sweet girly voice calling out their names with foreign accent. Surely it was Claire. Preet and Meher looked behind and found Claire and Gaurav was walking up to them. Claire was an Australian and Gaurav was an Indian. Both were in the law department with Meher. Meher got attached to those two really well in last two months and they were very close to her as well as Preet.
Gaurav: Hey Meher! Hey Preet!
Meher: Hi Gaurav. Come on, sit on your seats. The train is about to start.
Gaurav and Claire took their seats which were facing the seats of Meher and Preet from front. They were having a good talk when Gaurav wanted to exchange seats with Preet.
Gaurav: Preet, can you please come to my seat? I need to discuss an assignment with Meher.
Preet: *Narrowing his eyes at Gaurav* Why? You can talk to her from there too.
Gaurav: No Preet, I need to show her some documents from my phone.
Preet: Okay fine.
Preet and Gaurav exchanged the seats. After exchanging the seat Preet thought to himself why was he acting so weird. He could not find out any answer so he stopped putting pressure on his brain and rather started talking to Claire.
Gaurav: Meher, so whatever I showed you. Is that all fine?
Meher: Yeah it is Gaurav.
Gaurav: By the way, Claire told me that Preet made you breakfast today and the whole incident. *Whispering*
Meher: Yeah so? Claire is just too much. She must have exaggerated. *Whispering too*
Gaurav: No one did anything. Claire just told me what you said.
Claire: What I said?
Gaurav: The story Claire, where the girl is in love but we are not sure about the boy, right Meher? *Grinning, giving a slight push on Meher's arm by his arm*
Meher: Preet, can you please exchange the seats with Gaurav? I am no in mood to listen to any idiotic love story. *Trying hard to hide her blush*
Preet: Idiotic?! Love stories aren't idiotic Meher. Anyway, Gaurav come back to your seat man. Your time is up. *Being happy*
Gaurav did notice something unusual in Preet's behaviour towards him which he was sensing for maybe last one and a half week. Gaurav found it very strange. He decided to talk to Preet about it sometime soon. For then, without giving it a much thought, he went back to his old seat.
Claire: Meher, can you pass me the water bottle?
Meher: Here you go Claire.
Gaurav: By the way, Ashlesha and Viren are also coming there for the stay over right?
Preet: Yes they are.
"Great, okay so this time I will surely find out what is going on" Gaurav thought to himself.
