This day is truly special for all Deshians...the day that Prem announced to everyone that Prem and Heer are one...the day they became Premeer 😃
Thank you to all those that helped with the write up and all the siggie creators some seriously fabulous work!
And of course thank you to Harshad and Additi and the entire cast of Kis Desh for giving us this memorable scene. Without them and the CV writers and Ekta Mam we wouldn't have gotten this precious and powerful scene.
Not to take away from what has been posted up on the front but just wanted to share the complete draft that I had submitted since it was edited and merged with Divya's work. Divya great write up by the way 👍🏼 For most June 18th is just like any other normal day but for us, Kis Desh fans, Premeer fans it is a day that holds a special place in our hearts. This is a day that made our palms sweat, our hearts raced, our bodies tingled with excitement, and our eyes gaze longingly as Prem and Heer finally stood together and announced in front of everyone that they were Premeer. All the tortuous months that we sat in front of our TV sets or laptops and championed this couple, Prem and Heer to find a way to come together was finally resolved in the most dramatic and passionate confrontational scene in the entire serial of Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.
The scenes leading up to this momentous event were all beautifully portrayed with each and every character playing their part wonderfully. We cried when Prem came to bid farewell to Heer and placed his palms upon the door hoping to somehow be able to feel her for the last time before he joined Ashlesha at the mandap. The longing they had for each other was just heartbreaking. The secret truth that no one was aware of except for Prem and Nihaal made us angry and despise Heer's Aunt and Uncle and Prashant/Manmeet and his family. Our faces lit up in satisfaction when Prem stepped off the mandap ready to pound Prashant/Manmeet into tiny little pieces if he married Heer. We cheered when Ashlesha finally stood up and told everyone that she wasn't going to marry Prem because she never liked him in the first place. We clenched our fists in awe when Prem told his father he would only marry Ashlesha because he told him to do so but would never be able to love her. His heart would always beat for Heer. Prem's words and confession showed the depths of his love and the type of man he was. He would never betray Heer despite the circumstances in which he was forced to endure this game of honor and respect because of his father's word. We all shrieked back in horror along with the Juneja family and guests at the way Daljeet Chachi dragged Heer from her room and physically assaulted her in front of everyone's eyes. We clapped when Prem caught Heer into his arms and gave that look of intense rage unable to believe that Daljeet Chachi had humiliated and insulted Heer like that when she had done nothing wrong.
The words he spoke so strongly and fervently that he would not tolerate such treatment any further casted a spell amongst all of us. We could see the fury, the passion, and the love he had for Heer in those incensed but precious words he spoke. He vowed to protect her, to care for her, and to stand by her side. He declared that he was just as much a part of her as she was a part of him. If anyone dare to speak ill of her or look at her with scorn he'd tear them a part. This uncontrollable fire from Prem was the result of all the events and circumstances to which he had to hide and play the game of keeping his duty and family honor. But like any human he was finally pushed to the breaking point and what we saw was the eruption of pure and undying love. He was ready to forsake everything to be with Heer.
Heer clung to him as if he was the only life line she had. And the truth was that he was. She trembled in his arms at the things that she had to endure because of her Aunt and Uncle. She cried because she had been hurt by her own family. She cried because she had pushed her love away and had refused to believe the truth of what Prem had said about Manmeet/Prashant. She cried because despite all of what she had done to him he was standing by her side and announcing that from this day forth she would be his responsibility. She cried because he loved her that much.
And we the viewers cried and celebrated because it was one of the most powerful and beautiful scenes we had seen. It made us love them, Prem and Heer even more. The subtle looks that Prem gave shaking his head telling her everything was going to be all right now that he was there was emotionally touching. The look of love, appreciation, and amazement from Heer that he could do so much for her was priceless.
Yes, for fans of Kis Desh, Premeer fans all over the world this was a special day. It was special because Prem and Heer were no longer separate but where one in the same. This was the day Prem and Heer became Premeer not just in the serial but in our hearts forever.
As fans we were truly thankful for Harshad and Additi for being able to give us that wonderful and historic moment in the serial. Without them it wouldn't have been possible. They conveyed the emotions perfectly and stunningly that we were left speechless. So thank you Harshad and Additi for making June 18th such a special day for us. You truly brought a life and soul to Prem and Heer, our Premeer.
