I completely agree, but I think everyone has a type. Like my type is preet, if i would have married harman or nihaal i think i would learn to love him but i would always have this unfulfilled desire or regret. do I make sense? I also think that girls tend to fall for guys like their dad...my dad is very much like preet so i am always attracted to guys like that. What you said about opposites is true too! My parents are opposites and while they fight they make a good couple and team because they learn from each other so they are never bored. What you said about meher though...that preet could have gotten a more glamourous girl- I dont really like that statement. I don't think preet settled or if he did meher had to settle too. Meher is really pretty( just a little chubby) and her personality was intriguing which is attractive to a guy like preet who got everything he ever wanted. Coming to arranged marriage.. you are right- the whole falling in love after marriage and getting to know each other seems more romantic and exciting. The reason I think that works better is because you fall in love with all aspects of the person because you are immediately living together. there isn't much you can hide which makes it easier for acceptance and love. i love your discussions and your story!!!!! you are a fantastic writer! I look forward to your story everyday! its awesome!

I think I should've used a better word...glamourous is one dimensional 😳 I meant that Meher was portrayed as someone who was referred to as the 'fat girl from the village' although she was never really fat in my opinion...and was educated so being from a village doesn't really matter...anyway, and here was Preet who was larger than life and was always surrounded by modern girls. He fell for Ashlesha and I think that was partly because she was from his social circle...Prem died so Preet amended his ways but had that not happened and Preet would've been the carefree partying guy he and Meher would've had quite a few problems...make sense? 😕

And I agree about girls falling for guys who're like their dads and the bit you wrote about arranged marriages...thanks for the appreciation, it means a lot 😃

Lol yeah, but isn't everyone these days? 😛 I mean, it's become such an important part of our lives...I've lost track of how many times I login each day 😳 wonder why our soaps have never featured the internet as part of a couple's interaction...you know, emails and social networking sites are a very important source of communication 😳

yeah! you are right had preet not changed i think he and meher would have had problems. I talk to the kis desh creator on facebook sometimes and he told me that preet was originally supposed to marry heer and become the lead. I dont think I could have ever seen them together. Or at least it wouldnt have been as fun as meets relationship or as passionate as premeers.
