thanks, it's weird but what another person said here is true. People who get into arranged marriages just adjust to their circumstances...a lot of people don't even believe in ''someone somewhere for us'' idea. Which is wrong in my opinion. I mean you don't need Romeo to sweep you off your feet for love to happen...in the real world, love happens quite ordinarily...and even though I loved, loved, loved Kis Desh...I don't believe in the karma connection thing they showed in the beginning...you know his finger bleeds when another man puts a ring on her finger...she's dancing so he starts moving...this does NOT happen! So I'll try not to do that here...

Love for me is how it happened to Meet...that's love...opposites who stick together...Preet could've gotten himself a more glamorous girl, yet he settled for Meher...he trusted her, stood by her side and loved her unconditionally in his clumsy yet adorable manner...that was superb!

One of my married friends tells me that love can happen anywhere anytime...she ended up having an arranged marriage but 4 years down the line...they are so much in love with one another that it's hard to believe they'd been virtual strangers at marriage...others compromise...but those two have gelled and HOW! 😃

They have to meet once! then the rest can be on facebook! you can have preet-meher helping them maybe some account hacking to speed things up between their siblings!

Relationships have always intrigued me...I've always wondered what happens to people who are virtual strangers and find themselves tied in a relationship

This is something that was pretty normal when our grandparents and their parents got married. People took their marriage vows without knowing what the other looked like, let alone know what they thought, what they wanted from life...they just met at the mandap. But this is the 21st century, things are different now.

In the olden days the bride and the groom were just told, more recently, the guy's opinion mattered but now the girls also have a say in what happens to them.

So coming back to my original question, what happens to these people? How do they learn to live together? What do they do? How do they interact? How can you learn to care for someone overnight? 😕 And what about a physical relationship? Do they wait to understand each other before they share a carnal relationship? Is there actually truth in what our serials portray? I.e. a marriage is never consummated on the wedding night 😆 guy sleeps on the couch and after loads of drama, emotional attyachar and awkward situations the two individuals become one 😕

This FF is just a cover to understand human behaviour...to decipher what a normal person does in a normal situation...so it might not have the thrill that a story should essentially have, but I'd be glad if we can actively take part in a discussion...understand how each of us would react when confronted with a certain situation, etcetera 😳

The situation I mentioned above has to do with our central characters, Prem & Heer. As the story progresses I will touch into the lives of others, especially MEET and see how they react to the situation they're confronted with

Well, I'm not Indian so I can't say much about arrange marriages even though I'm a product of one...my mom and dad were arranged. I'm Chinese by the way and for most part the younger generations are left on their own to find themselves someone. Of course parents do help but more in a I know so-so has a boy/girl and why don't you meet at a cafe and see how it goes from there.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you go about developing such a relationship from "hello, I'm a complete stranger" to "now we're a married couple" to "maybe we can be friends?" to "I hate these faults of yours but like these strengths of yours" to "I think I may actually like you" to "I respect you" to "the possessiveness of being together" to "maybe I think we can actually be together" and to...hopefully "I love you" 😆

Okay...time to vote people! I'm kinda confused about what happens next...should they meet before they get married? Or should they interact on Facebook and not meet? Or should neither happen and they married as virtual strangers?

personally i think they shuold meet but to make it juicy.. facebook eachother.. i mean i remember when my uncle was going to get married he was in canada and she was in pakistan and they'd chat.. once i na while we'd sneek up and say a thing or two while he was gone!lol i dont believe the whole marriage as virtual strangers even tho that kinda happened with my parents.. i think thats last gen thiing and it shuold never ever happen again.. before mariage u should atleast talk to him..on the phone..internet..or in person.. watever's acceptable. cant wait for u to move on.. we have the same opinion abuot love(based on waht u said to tadashi) lol

Hmmm...some how I managed to skip over a chapter...lol..the Facebook chapter at that!

As for the voting part of meeting or not meeting...I think it would be nice for them to have a brief meeting and then after that Facebook and then move to the phone? Relationship has to move forward somehow.
