stating ''Prem, only you are my husband. He is not'.& Prem's assurance

Part 16

Prem took Heer to the couch. He made her sit on the couch. Gaya3 came with water. She made her drink that. Preet looked at Megher 'Megher, who is he?' Megher after a silence 'he is di's husband Rishab.' Everyone shocked. Heer shouted 'no he is not my husband.' She held Prem shirt and shouted 'Prem, only you are my husband. He is not.' Prem gently hugged her 'ha Heer.'

Preet 'Megher didi is saying he is not her husband but you are telling he is. Its really contradicts.' Megher 'I'm confused why she is telling so. But I didn't attend the marriage.' Preet 'then how do you know him.' Megher 'Chachi send his picture telling he is fixed for di.'

Preet 'Only didi can tell the truth. Something is hidden.' He knelt before Heer 'didi. Please tell us about that you are hiding it from us.' Heer looked at him with fear. Prem turned her to face him. He cupped her face 'Heer, please. We need to know your past to support you. believe me I won't leave you at any situation.' Gaya3 'ha beta. We are with you.' she sat on the other side of Heer.

Heer firmly 'he is not my husband. I didn't marry anyone. Prem is my first husband.' Everyone are shocked. Megher 'but Chachi said your husband died in an accident'.

~~FLASHBACK~~

Heer got shocked when DJ announced her marriage with Rishab. Heer protested but DJ said 'if you marry him then only I'll support Megher's studies.' Heer thought about Megher's future. Heer's parents died before one year. After Heer's parents death, her Chachu Balwant supported Heer and Megher. Megher wanted to study law. It is their parents dream too. DJ took all their property in her hand after their parent's death. Now for Heer accepting for the marriage is the only way to support Megher's studies.

They are in Ambala. Megher is studying in Delhi. Heer agreed after thinking about Megher. Balwant shouted at DJ 'you are trying to trap her. I'll not allow my child to suffer in that stupid man's hand.' Balwant is the only loving soul for Heer and Megher in that house. DJ and her daughter Ash always wanted to live a luxiours life. DJ did some deal with Rishab.

DJ started showing picture of Rishab to villagers stating that he is fixed for Heer. She even sent a picture to Megher. After a week, DJ announced we are going to temple for Heer's marriage. It is away from village so no villagers accompanied them. DJ, Balwant and Heer reached the place. Balwant prayed 'Please God save my child.' Megher had exams so she didn't come. Ash is also studying in Delhi so DJ didn't call her also.

They reached a place looked like Ashram. There is no sign of marriage function there. DJ was going somewhere and returning home. She didn't say anything. Balwant is confused that she is planning something. He got nervous. He tried to ask her but DJ didn't give any answer.

After a week stay, DJ decided to go back to Ambala. Balwant and Heer are one side happy but other side they feared. When they neared the village, DJ told Heer to wear a white salwar. She made her as widow. Balwant became mad and shouted 'how dare you make my daughter a widow without not even getting married. Stop your drama.' DJ again threatened him 'I'll go any extend to get money then Megher will be orphan without you and Heer.' Balwant cried hugging Heer.

DJ slapped Heer several times that made his face very bad. When they entered the village DJ created a big scene saying Heer's husband died in accident after the day got married.' All the villagers believed her acting. Heer's continuous cry thinking about her fate made them believed that she is crying for her husband. DJ informed this to Megher also. All the villagers started looking at Heer as a bad luck. No one wanted to see her face in the morning.

One night, Balwant woke up Heer in the middle of her sleep. 'Heer, beta you run away from here.' Heer shocked 'but I don't know anyone in this world except you chacha.' Balwant handed a cover 'I can't see your tears anymore. here is the ticket to Mumbai. You take your certificates.' Heer 'what will I do there?' ha 'I spoke to Kiran. He will meet you in station.' He handed her the ticket 'come get up.' Heer 'chachi'. He 'she is gone to neighbor village and will come only t'row morning.' Heer confused. He 'beta, I want you to live happily. Kiran and Kulraj will take care of you. Take some dresses for you.' Heer packed her things. Heer 'Chachu, Megher.' Balwant 'Kiran will take care of her studies. Don't worry. I'll inform about you to her.'

Balwant took her to the railway station. He 'Heer, down get down anywhere in the middle. Get down in last station. Stand at the place itself. Kiran will come and pick you up.' He gave some money. 'be careful beta. Don't listen to anyone until you reach Mumbai.' Heer nodded. He gave her some food items. He kissed her forehead and waved bye when train moved away.

Train stopped at Mumbai station. Heer is happy that she escaped from DJ. She got out of the train and stood in the same place. After 10 minutes Kiran and Kulraj came searching her through the crowd. Kulraj hugged Heer and cried. They took her home. Kulraj is Heer's mother Teji's niece. Kulraj and Kiran are doctors and having their own small clinic in Mumbai.

Kiran suggested Heer to study fashion designing as she is very well in designing and stitching dresses. Heer stayed with Kulraj and Kiran.
